Abstract

This study investigates the intergenerational waqf crowdfunding behavior under the lens of Theory Planned Behavior (TPB), Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). A total of 205 respondents covering generation X, Y and Z from across Indonesia was sampled and analyzed using Smart PLS. The Measurement Invariance Assessment (MICOM) test was used to analyze whether the Multigroup Analysis (MGA) model was applicable. The results show that in all generations, perceived usefulness, attitude toward use, and subjective norm affect behavioral intention. Perceived usefulness and attitude toward use also affect attitude toward use of waqf crowdfunding behavior. There was no significant difference except for generation Y and Z regarding behavior between generations. Theoretical and practical implications are drawn from the findings.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of population growth, inflation rate, and foreign direct investment on economic growth in eight developing countries from the perspective of Islamic economics. Secondary data were sourced from the World Bank for the period 2016 to 2021. Panel data regression analysis was employed to test the established hypotheses, considering these independent variables. The results indicate that population growth, inflation rate, and foreign direct investment do not have a significant effect on economic growth in these countries during the study period. These findings are interpreted within the framework of Islamic economics, which emphasizes principles of economic justice, wealth distribution, and resource management in accordance with Shariah law. This research provides deep insights into how conventional economic factors interact with Islamic economic principles and their implications for economic policy in developing countries

Abstract

In an effort to achieve sustainable development, Islamic philanthropy through Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah (ZIS) plays an important role in reducing poverty and improving socio-economic welfare. This study aims to analyze the role of Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah (ZIS) as an instrument of Islamic philanthropy on poverty, income inequality, human development index and purchasing power in Indonesia in the long and short term. The data analysis techniques used in this study are in the form of Two-Way Fixed Effect Models-GMM for short-term testing and Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) for long-term. The results show that ZIS has a significant negative influence on poverty, income inequality, and HDI, both in the short and long term, indicating that ZIS distribution can help reduce social inequality and improve people's quality of life. In addition, ZIS has been shown to have a positive impact on people's purchasing power, which shows that the assistance provided can increase the economic capacity of individuals. This study suggests that governments and Islamic philanthropic institutions, such as BAZNAS, strengthen the management and distribution of ZIS with a focus on economic empowerment to maximize its impact on sustainable development.

Abstract

The development of the capital market has experienced quite good growth in Indonesia, including the Islamic capital market. The existence of a sharia capital market with various investment instruments such as sharia shares, sukuk, and sharia mutual funds provides investment opportunities for those who wish to invest with sharia principles. The development of sharia investment instruments, especially sharia shares, continues to show improvement. It is then supported by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) by issuing the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) which is a benchmark for the performance of sharia shares in Indonesia. The development of the Sharia Stock Index has continued to increase since it was published although it experienced fluctuations in several periods. It is presumably due to changes in macroeconomic variables. Therefore, the study aims to analyze the effect of the BI interest rate variable, exchange rate, and inflation on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) for the period 2015 to 2020. The study uses quantitative methods, with data analysis The Error Correction Model (ECM) uses the EViews version 9 application, ECM analysis to determine long-term and short-term economic phenomena from the interaction of several research variables. The results obtained show that in the long term, the exchange rate and BI interest rate variables have an influence on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) while in the short term the exchange rate variable has an influence on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI). Whereas, the inflation variable has no effect on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) in the long and short term.
