Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of population growth, inflation rate, and foreign direct investment on economic growth in eight developing countries from the perspective of Islamic economics. Secondary data were sourced from the World Bank for the period 2016 to 2021. Panel data regression analysis was employed to test the established hypotheses, considering these independent variables. The results indicate that population growth, inflation rate, and foreign direct investment do not have a significant effect on economic growth in these countries during the study period. These findings are interpreted within the framework of Islamic economics, which emphasizes principles of economic justice, wealth distribution, and resource management in accordance with Shariah law. This research provides deep insights into how conventional economic factors interact with Islamic economic principles and their implications for economic policy in developing countries

Abstract

This service evaluates the impact of village fund management on improving community welfare in Warmon Kokoda Village, Mayamuk District, Sorong Regency. By applying Islamic economic principles that emphasize justice, transparency, and accountability, this study uses qualitative and quantitative approaches to assess changes in various indicators of community welfare, including education, health, income, and access to social services. Through surveys and interviews with local residents, the results of the service show a real increase in community welfare, which is driven by effective and participatory fund management. These findings provide empirical evidence supporting the use of village funds as a tool for village development and community empowerment, recommending management strategies that can be adapted to different contexts to achieve broader and more inclusive outcomes.

Abstract

In Sorong City, West Papua, financial and digital literacy challenges are still the main obstacles in utilizing full economic potential, especially for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of digital and financial literacy training programs designed to increase the economic independence of local communities. This study uses quantitative and qualitative methodologies to collect and analyze data related to capacity building and implementation of post-training financial and digital literacy knowledge. The results of the study are expected to provide valuable insights into the effect of training on improving the digital and financial skills of Sorong residents, as well as its contribution in expanding access to markets and information networks.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian dengan tema Strategi Peningkatan Minat Usaha Santri Melalui Pelatihan Santripreneur Di Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Kabupaten Sorong. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Panti Asuhan Putri Muhammadiyah Kabupaten Sorong yang beralamatkan di Jl. Wortel Malasom, Malawele, Distrik Aimas, Kabupaten Sorong, Papua Barat Daya. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dihadiri oleh 19 mitra yang terdiri dari santri putra dan santri putri. Alasan pelaksanaan santripreneur di panti asuhan yaitu : 1). mengatasi tantangan ekonomi; 2). pembentukan karakter, 3). meningkatkan ketrampilan. Metode pelaksanakan dengan tahapan : 1). pemaparan materi tentang pemanfaatan dan pengolahan daun kangkung; 2). respon yang baik umpan balik berlangsung; 3).praktek pembuatan keripik kangkung; 4. diskusi; 5. penguatan materi. Para santri dan santriwati mendapatkan penguatan materi mengenai aspek kewirausahaan dan strategi produksi. Penguatan materi ini memperluas wawasan para santri dan santriwati dalam menjalankan usaha mereka di masa yang akan datang. Dengan kegiatan pengabdian dari tim diharapkan selalu berinovasi dan menciptakan nilai tambah dengan melihat perluasan pasar potensial. Program ini memberikan dorongan bagi santri untuk mengembangkan kemandirian dan keterampilan wirausaha, serta memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap ekonomi lokal.

Abstract

Enhancing Islamic financial literacy and utilizing digital financial systems are crucial, particularly for women in the Al-Muhajirin Majelis Taklim community in Sorong City. This group often faces challenges in financial management, highlighting the need for greater understanding of sharia-compliant financial principles. This community service program aims to provide education through lectures, reinforcement by lecturers, and interactive discussions. An innovative approach through interactive Islamic preaching podcasts was also used to present material in a more engaging and relevant manner. The program has demonstrated improvements in participants’ understanding and skills in managing finances according to Islamic principles, as well as in safely using digital financial technology. The success of the activity is evident from the high level of community participation, strengthening Islamic financial literacy among majelis taklim members. It is expected that this program will serve as a sustainable model for empowering sharia-based financial literacy.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine the influence of motivation, technological advances and financial literacy on students' interest in investing in the Islamic capital market. The method in this research uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were students from the Sharia Economics Study Program at IAIN Sorong with the 2020 and 2021 classes. The sample used was 66 students. The data collection method in this research uses a questionnaire and the data analysis used is multiple linear regression using the SPSS version 20 process. The results of this research show that partially motivation and financial literacy have a significant effect on interest in investing in the sharia capital market among IAIN Sharia Economics Study Program students. Meanwhile, technological advances do not have a significant effect on interest in investing in the capital market among Islamic Economics Study Program students at IAIN Sorong. Simultaneous test results of motivational variables, technological advances and financial literacy together have a significant effect on investment interest in the Islamic capital market among Islamic Economics Study Program students at IAIN Sorong.Keywords: Technological Progress, Financial Literacy, Investment Interest, MotivationAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi, kemajuan teknologi dan literasi keuangan terhadap minat investasi di pasar modal syariah pada Mahasiswa. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Prodi Ekonomi Syariah di IAIN Sorong dengan tahun angkatan 2020 dan 2021, sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 66 Mahasiswa. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuisioner dan analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda melalui proses SPSS versi 20. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa secara parsial motivasi dan literasi keuangan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat investasi di pasar modal syariah pada Mahasiswa Prodi Ekonomi Syariah IAIN. Sedangkan kemajuan teknologi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat investasi di pasar modal pada Mahasiswa Prodi Ekonomi Syariah IAIN Sorong. Hasil uji simultan variable motivasi, kemajuan teknologi dan literasi keuangan secara berasama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat investasi di pasar modal syariah pada Mahasiswa Prodi Ekonomi Syariah IAIN Sorong.Kata Kunci: Kemajuan Teknologi, Literasi Keuangan, Minat Investasi, Motivasi

Abstract

Latar belakang: Dengan adanya kemajuan teknologi yang begitu pesat, telah mengubah banyak hal dalam kehidupan manusia. Adapun beberapa contoh pengaruh dari adanya teknologi yang berkembang sangat signifikan dalam kehidupan manusia diantaranya adalah kecerdasan buatan (AI), dimana teknologi ini dapat melakukan tugas tertentu dengan menggunakan kecerdasan buatan, dan Internet of Things (Iot), dimana teknologi ini dapat menghubungkan berbagai perangkat ke internet. Namun, dengan adanya kemajuan teknologi ini, sebagian masyarakat Papua Barat Daya khususnya di Kota Sorong, belum bisa memanfaatkan internet sebagai sarana promosi dalam pemasaran produk. Masyarakat Papua Barat Daya khususnya di Kota Sorong, masih mengandalkan metode lama atau offline dalam pemasaran produk. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini dalam bentuk pelatihan pemasaran produk dengan memanfaatkan media sosial, terkhusus Marketplace pada Facebook. Karena Masyarakat Papua Barat Daya terkhusus di Kota Sorong mayoritas memiliki akun Facebook. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah masyarakat Papua Barat Daya yang berdomisili di Kota Sorong. Materi yang disampaikan adalah tentang digitalisasi UMKM dalam pemasaran produk. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama 1 hari dengan jumlah peserta 25 orang. Metode pengabdian: Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah ceramah dan pembagian materi dalam bentuk softfile. Gadget dan Wifi adalah media yang digunakan dalam menunjang pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini. Hasil pengabdian: Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah menambah pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam menggunakan sosial media social dan fitur-fiturnya untuk mempromosikan produk sehingga mampu meningkatkan kuantitas penjualan. Membuat branding produk sendiri dan mampu mengidentifikasi kebutuhan konsumen/pasar. Kesimpulan: Setelah kegiatan pengabdian ini, pengetahuan pelaku UMKM mengenai digitalisasi UMKM dan pemasaran produk semakin bertambah. Selain itu, pelaku UMKM yang mengikuti kegiatan ini dapat membuat branding produk mereka sendiri, serta mampu melakukan identifikasi dan observasi pada kebutuhan konsumen/pasar. Dengan adanya kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan masyarakat Kota Sorong dapat lebih cerdas menggunakan media sosial beserta fitur-fiturnya dalam memasarkan produk mereka secara online.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the partial and simultaneous influence of accountability and service quality on muzaki's trust in BAZNAS Sorong Regency. The data collection tool used questionnaires which were distributed to 72 respondents and 61 questionnaires were returned which were selected using non-probability sampling techniques. To answer research problems and test hypotheses, the Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) V.28 analysis technique was used. The results of this research show that partially accountability has no significant effect on muzaki's trust with a tcount value of 0.227 < ttable 2.001 and a significance value of 0.821 > 0.05, while service quality has a significant effect on muzaki trust in BAZNAS Sorong Regency with a tcount of 3.409 > ttable 2.001 and a significance value 0.001 < 0.05. Furthermore, accountability and service quality simultaneously influence the trust of muzaki in BAZNAS Sorong Regency with a Fcount value of 7.316 > Ftable 2.764 and a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. Then the contribution of the muzaki trust variable is explained by the accountability and service quality variables with an R-Square value of 20.2%, while the remaining 79.8% is explained by other variables outside this research. Because the contribution of the independent variable has a low percentage, future researchers are expected to be able to increase the number of samples and the number of other independent variables that have an influence on muzaki beliefs, for example knowledge, religiosity, community culture.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tema peningkatan omset penjualan melalui penerapan bauran pemasaran kelompok usaha mikro kecil menengah skala rumah Kelurahan Pal Putih Sorong dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan omset penjualan melalui penerapan bauran pemasaran kelompok usaha skala rumah. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pengabdian masyarakat yang melalui beberapa yaitu tahap pelatihan pembuatan label menggunakan aplikasi canva, pelatihan penentuan packaging, dan persiapan penerapan bauran pemasaran secara digital dengan menggunakan platform media sosial seperti facebook, instagram, dan tiktok. Kegiatan di Kelurahan Pal Putih berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pemasaran produk. Produk yang digunakan untuk pengaplikasian penerapan bauran pemasaran yaitu kerupuk udang. Kerupuk udang yang dimaksud adalah produk hasil karya dari ibu-ibu kelurahan Pal Putih yang merupakan hasil ide bisnis dari tim. Penerapan bauran pemasaran dapat dikendalikan oleh pemasar untuk mempengaruhi calon konsumen yang meliputi produk, harga, lokasi, dan promosi. Dan era teknologi tim juga menerapan bauran pemasaran digital melalui media sosial menjadi strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan omzet penjualan. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini mencerminkan peluang dan dukungan kuat dari masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

The background of this research focuses on consumer protection in the practice of end-of-year discount sales from the perspective of Islamic economics. End-of-year discount practices often do not align with the principles of Islamic economics, which require transactions to be conducted with transparency, honesty, and fairness. This research uses the library research methodology, collecting and analyzing literature related to Islamic economics, consumer protection, and discount practices. The purpose of this research is to analyze the extent of consumer protection in end-of-year discount transactions and identify the application of Islamic principles in these practices. The results show that end-of-year discount practices often neglect Islamic principles such as fairness, transparency, and trustworthiness. Many businesses fail to provide clear product information, which can harm consumers. The study also finds that current regulations do not fully accommodate Islamic values, requiring enhanced oversight and education for both businesses and consumers. In conclusion, integrating Islamic principles into end-of-year discount transactions can improve consumer protection and create a more just economic ecosystem. The contribution of this research is to provide a new perspective for the development of consumer protection policies that align with Islamic economic principles.
