Abstract

The importance of the role of motor vehicles in human life is revealed through its transformation from a tertiary need to a secondary one. In Indonesia, the number of motor vehicles reached 136.191 million units in 2020, prompting the government to regulate registration and identification through Presidential Regulation No. 5 of 2015. This research addresses issues related to motor vehicle administration in Indonesia, focusing on transparency, data integrity, and information availability. Inspired by the rapid growth in the number of motor vehicles and the increasing cases of theft, this research aims to design and implement an innovative motor vehicle ownership recording system using blockchain technology. This approach aims to enhance the accessibility of information on the origin and ownership of vehicles or Vehicle Registration Numbers (VRN), which is currently limited in both manual and online forms. The research methodology involves the design and implementation of blockchain technology, tested to verify its effectiveness in achieving transparency and data security goals. The research results indicate that this system can provide more comprehensive and distributed information to the general public, overcoming the limitations of centralized systems. The conclusion of this research affirms that the application of blockchain technology can be an innovative and effective solution to improve motor vehicle administration. The implications of this research include increased efficiency, security, and availability of information in handling vehicle administration, potentially having a positive impact on the general public and related industries

Abstract

Mata Pelajaran Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi merupakan mata pelajaran wajib untuk siswa siswi SMK Yapim Perdagangan. Namun, berdasarkan hasil wawancara tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) kepada pihak sekolah, siswa siswi pada SMK Yapim Perdagangan belum mendapatkan edukasi yang cukup mengenai bidang ilmu Internet of Things (IoT). Sehingga kegiatan edukasi mengenai IoT perlu untuk dilakukan. Kegiatan PKM ini dirancang dalam bentuk seminar atau ceramah dan akan diselenggarakan di lingkungan sekolah tersebut, dengan estimasi durasi pelaksanaan selama tiga jam. Waktu pelaksanaan kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2025. Adapun hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pemahaman warga sekolah, khususnya siswa dan tenaga pendidik, mengenai konsep dasar serta implementasi teknologi Internet of Things.

Abstract

This study aims to design, develop, and test a prototype of an automatic trash bin based on HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors and Arduino Uno R3 microcontrollers to improve cleanliness, efficiency, and awareness of waste management at the LP3I Polytechnic in Medan. This system is designed to detect the presence of users at a distance of less than 30 cm using an ultrasonic sensor, which then triggers the SG90 servo motor to automatically open the trash can lid and display information on capacity status and full warnings via a 16x2 LCD screen. After a 2-second delay, the lid will close again to prevent the spread of odors and maintain environmental hygiene. The prototype was developed through a research approach that included direct observation in the campus area, literature studies from reliable sources, and system design with hardware and software integration. Testing was conducted at strategic locations such as rest areas and campus corridors for 10 days, involving 100 trials with 10 daily tests per location. The test results showed a system effectiveness rate of 92%.

Abstract

Penggunaan akses internet oleh mahasiswa diluar jam aktivitas kampus merupakan pelanggaran terhadap peraturan dan disiplin yang diterapkan oleh kampus. Pelanggaran ini dipicu salah satunya oleh lemahnya pengawasan dan implementasi pembatasan jam akses internet di kampus. Salah satu cara untuk melakukan pembatasan jam akses internet adalah dengan menggunakan fitur scheduler dan fitur hotspot pada perangkat jaringan berbasis Mikrotik. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil pengaturan dan pembatasan akses internet berdasarkan jam akses yang telah di tetapkan pada pukul 21:00 WIB – 07:30 WIB dengan nilai efektivitas sebesar 70%. Implementasi ini menunjukkan bahwa pengaturan jam akses internet sangat berpengaruh terhadap kedisiplinan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan akses internet secara bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah meningkatkan kebutuhan tenaga kerja yang memiliki kompetensi di bidang jaringan komputer. Mikrotik merupakan salah satu sistem operasi jaringan yang banyak digunakan pada institusi pendidikan maupun industri. Namun demikian, siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan masih memiliki keterbatasan pengalaman praktik dalam melakukan konfigurasi perangkat jaringan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa SMKS YWKA Medan dalam melakukan konfigurasi perangkat Mikrotik. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 23 siswa dan dilaksanakan melalui metode ceramah, demonstrasi, diskusi, dan praktik langsung. Materi pelatihan meliputi pengenalan RouterOS, konfigurasi IP Address, DHCP Server, Network Address Translation (NAT), Firewall, dan pengujian jaringan. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa dalam melakukan konfigurasi jaringan menggunakan Mikrotik. Peserta mampu melakukan konfigurasi dasar jaringan secara mandiri dan memahami implementasi jaringan komputer pada lingkungan nyata. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi siswa sebesar 85,6% serta mendukung kesiapan mereka dalam menghadapi kebutuhan dunia kerja.

Abstract

Decision Support Systems (DSS) play a crucial role in minimizing cognitive biases in human resource management processes, particularly in employee incentive or bonus schemes. This study aims to design, develop, and implement a web-based decision support system to determine which employees are most deserving of annual bonuses at Uflo Technology Indonesia by applying the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Conventional performance evaluations, which are often subjective, have the potential to reduce work motivation and lead to organizational injustice. To address these dynamics, this system objectively evaluates employee performance based on five main criteria: discipline, productivity, teamwork, work quality, and initiative and creativity. Empirical evaluation data is sourced directly from Uflo Technology’s internal systems, including digital attendance records and daily job reports. Through the AHP algorithm, each criterion is analyzed using hierarchical decomposition and pairwise comparison to generate a consistent global priority weight, where the Consistency Ratio (CR) is rigorously tested to ensure it remains ≤ 0.1. The final results of the study show that the system successfully performs automatic evaluation synthesis and alternative ranking. Computational validation using real-world data placed the Dodi alternative at the highest rank with a final score of 0.335. The implementation of this web-based system has proven capable of improving accuracy, transparency, and time efficiency in the managerial decision-making process within a corporate environment.
