Abstract

The importance of the role of motor vehicles in human life is revealed through its transformation from a tertiary need to a secondary one. In Indonesia, the number of motor vehicles reached 136.191 million units in 2020, prompting the government to regulate registration and identification through Presidential Regulation No. 5 of 2015. This research addresses issues related to motor vehicle administration in Indonesia, focusing on transparency, data integrity, and information availability. Inspired by the rapid growth in the number of motor vehicles and the increasing cases of theft, this research aims to design and implement an innovative motor vehicle ownership recording system using blockchain technology. This approach aims to enhance the accessibility of information on the origin and ownership of vehicles or Vehicle Registration Numbers (VRN), which is currently limited in both manual and online forms. The research methodology involves the design and implementation of blockchain technology, tested to verify its effectiveness in achieving transparency and data security goals. The research results indicate that this system can provide more comprehensive and distributed information to the general public, overcoming the limitations of centralized systems. The conclusion of this research affirms that the application of blockchain technology can be an innovative and effective solution to improve motor vehicle administration. The implications of this research include increased efficiency, security, and availability of information in handling vehicle administration, potentially having a positive impact on the general public and related industries

Abstract

Mata Pelajaran Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi merupakan mata pelajaran wajib untuk siswa siswi SMK Yapim Perdagangan. Namun, berdasarkan hasil wawancara tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) kepada pihak sekolah, siswa siswi pada SMK Yapim Perdagangan belum mendapatkan edukasi yang cukup mengenai bidang ilmu Internet of Things (IoT). Sehingga kegiatan edukasi mengenai IoT perlu untuk dilakukan. Kegiatan PKM ini dirancang dalam bentuk seminar atau ceramah dan akan diselenggarakan di lingkungan sekolah tersebut, dengan estimasi durasi pelaksanaan selama tiga jam. Waktu pelaksanaan kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2025. Adapun hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pemahaman warga sekolah, khususnya siswa dan tenaga pendidik, mengenai konsep dasar serta implementasi teknologi Internet of Things.

Abstract

This study aims to design, develop, and test a prototype of an automatic trash bin based on HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors and Arduino Uno R3 microcontrollers to improve cleanliness, efficiency, and awareness of waste management at the LP3I Polytechnic in Medan. This system is designed to detect the presence of users at a distance of less than 30 cm using an ultrasonic sensor, which then triggers the SG90 servo motor to automatically open the trash can lid and display information on capacity status and full warnings via a 16x2 LCD screen. After a 2-second delay, the lid will close again to prevent the spread of odors and maintain environmental hygiene. The prototype was developed through a research approach that included direct observation in the campus area, literature studies from reliable sources, and system design with hardware and software integration. Testing was conducted at strategic locations such as rest areas and campus corridors for 10 days, involving 100 trials with 10 daily tests per location. The test results showed a system effectiveness rate of 92%.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan teknik dasar perawatan dan perbaikan laptop yang ditujukan untuk murid sekolah tingkat SMK. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMK Satria Budi 2 Perdagangan pada tanggal Oktober 2025 dan dihadiri oleh 25 murid kelas XII. Metode pelaksanaan berupa seminar dan praktik langsung dalam melakukan perawatan dan perbaikan laptop dengan jumlah waktu maksimal 90 menit untuk setiap sesi. Adapun hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran warga sekolah, khususnya siswa dan tenaga pendidik, mengenai konsep dasar dalam melakukan perawatan dan perbaikan skala ringan pada perangkat teknologi informasi.
