Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic brought deep sorrow, but it also had quite an intense impact on the economic, social, educational and other situations. Without exception, violence against women has increased quite sharply. This is caused by various factors, one of which is: women who often experience domestic violence do not dare to report and fight. Like the general word they often feel 'knowing'. In addition, there is also a lack of specialization and education for women from the government and the Church or religion. What more if they are housewives and without a job or skill. This is our concern to carry out Community Service activities. In detail, the objectives of this Empowerment activity are: Empowering women victims of domestic violence through mentoring activities. Mentoring here is not spiritual assistance but rather education and increasing knowledge and courage to act without retaliating with violence and solutions to avoid domestic violence. In addition, so that victims are more courageous in expressing their cases without being ashamed of receiving social sanctions, knowing their rights as danita, other impacts are: the development or education of children is disrupted. The assistance in question is: legal, social and spiritual assistance.

Abstract

The study is entitled The Effect Of Competency Of Catholic Religion Teachers On Student Learning Achievements In Kupang 2 State Smp. The reason the authors chose this title was because based on the writer's observations while carrying out field experience in Kupang State Middle School 2, the authors saw the lack of activeness of students in attending lessons, it was caused due to lack of infrastructure such as classrooms to carry out learning activities and most students also thought religious studies are lessons that are young or not difficult. Because it is called for a Catholic teacher who has competence in teaching. The results of the study showed that based on descriptive statistical analysis the achievement of Catholic teacher teacher competency indicators on student achievement in Kupang 2 Public Middle School was 33.10% or in the poor category, while the achievement of student learning achievement indicators was 33.8% at categorically not good means that Catholic teachers do not show the ability in teaching and learning activities. Based on the results of the partial test (t) it is known that the calculated value 1.369 with a significant level of 0.000 this significant value is smaller than the alpha set which is 0.05, the decision is to reject the null hypothesis (Ho) and accept the alternative hypothesis (Ha), meaning variableCatholic teacher competence (X) has a significant effect on student learning achievement (Y) in Kupang State Middle School 2.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out how the learning methods applied by Catholic religion teachers in class VIII A of SMP Negeri Oelneke and how the learning motivation of students was when faced with the application of these teaching methods. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation and interviews. Data analysis techniques are carried out through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the teaching methods used by Catholic religion teachers at SMP Negeri Oelneke, especially class VIII A, have so far been less varied, causing students to be less motivated to participate in learning activities. To overcome this problem, Catholic religious teachers are required to apply teaching methods that are more diverse but relevant. This means that there is a choice for teachers to use more than one teaching method as long as it can motivate students to be actively involved in the Catholic religion learning process.

Abstract

The Wuat Wa'i tradition is one of the traditions of the East Manggarai community which aims to support regional children who want to continue their education at university. This tradition is better known as "children's school party". This habit is closely attached to the Mbapo community and is a good tradition because the people realize that it costs a lot of money to send children to a higher level of education. However, if we look at the realities of today's developments, this tradition is not well understood by young people. This tradition is used as a place to have fun and have fun without interpreting it properly. The focus of this research is to examine the noble values ​​found in the Wuat Wa'i tradition and relate them to the teachings of the Gravissimus Educationis Catholic Church which talks about education. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. From the results of interviews with 7 informants, the author can conclude that the Mbapo community has a good understanding of the meaning of education for their children, even though their lives are simple and deficient, they still help and support each other so that their children can continue their studies at university level. tall. The noble values ​​contained in this tradition are a sense of brotherhood, togetherness, mutual support and help, mutual cooperation and making the Wuat Wa'i tradition a custom to help humanize humans.
