Abstract

Sharing the Holy Bible is an activity held by the Church for the development of the faith of all people, both adults and Catholic Young People (OMK). All people are expected to take part in this activity. However, with changing times and increasingly rapid technological advances, OMK's awareness of the importance of participating in Sharing the Holy Book in Basic Community Groups,  the environment and parishes is decreasing. Young Catholics at Jesus Maria Yoseph Station are less active in sharing the Holy Bible because they think that sharing the holy book is just boring and tedious. This is because they do not understand properly and correctly about sharing the Holy Scriptures themselves. The method used in this research is qualitative with a rational empirical approach, prioritizing data analysis from observations and interviews. As a result, sharing the Holy Bible must become a habit so that OMKs love the Holy Bible more as a guide and foundation for Catholic life. Because the activity of sharing the Holy Bible itself aims to raise awareness and increase the Catholic faith in a good and correct way.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which the creativity of SEKAMI coaches affects children's interest in attending SEKAMI coaching at Maria Bunda Selalu Menolong Kambajawa Parish. The research method used is quantitative research with a descriptive correlational approach. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and documentation studies. The questionnaire was addressed to 214 SEKAMI coaches and children, to find data on the level of creativity of SEKAMI coaches and the level of children's interest in joining SEKAMI coaching. The data analysis technique used was descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. As a result of the research, the average of each indicator of the SEKAMI coach's creativity variable (X) was 80.98% and the average achievement of each indicator of the child interest variable was 71.13% and the child's interest in participating in SEKAMI coaching was in the good category. In addition, in the calculation of the coefficient of determination (R2), SEKAMI coach creativity (X) has a contribution of 81.7% to children's interest (Y) (0.817 x 100 = 81.7%). Based on the t-test, 6.678 is greater than the t table value of 1.971. Therefore, the hypothesis in this study is accepted and there is a positive and significant influence of SEKAMI coaches' creativity on children's interest in joining SEKAMI coaching at Maria Bunda Selalu Menolong Kambajawa Parish.

Abstract

The study is entitled The Effect Of Competency Of Catholic Religion Teachers On Student Learning Achievements In Kupang 2 State Smp. The reason the authors chose this title was because based on the writer's observations while carrying out field experience in Kupang State Middle School 2, the authors saw the lack of activeness of students in attending lessons, it was caused due to lack of infrastructure such as classrooms to carry out learning activities and most students also thought religious studies are lessons that are young or not difficult. Because it is called for a Catholic teacher who has competence in teaching. The results of the study showed that based on descriptive statistical analysis the achievement of Catholic teacher teacher competency indicators on student achievement in Kupang 2 Public Middle School was 33.10% or in the poor category, while the achievement of student learning achievement indicators was 33.8% at categorically not good means that Catholic teachers do not show the ability in teaching and learning activities. Based on the results of the partial test (t) it is known that the calculated value 1.369 with a significant level of 0.000 this significant value is smaller than the alpha set which is 0.05, the decision is to reject the null hypothesis (Ho) and accept the alternative hypothesis (Ha), meaning variableCatholic teacher competence (X) has a significant effect on student learning achievement (Y) in Kupang State Middle School 2.

Abstract

Latar belakang PkM ini adalah sebuah realitas sosial dalam SMAK Sint Carolus Kupang. Realitas sosial yang dimaksud adalah krisis sosial para peserta didik di dalamnya. Secara konkret, realitas ini adalah krisis sosial peserta didik yang ditemukan melalui berbagai sikap hidup yang tidak berlandaskan pada iman yang baik, karakter yang bermartabat dan Kesehatan mental yang baik. Tujuan PkM ini adalah menerapkan pastoral sekolah sebagai langkah dalam menanggulangi berbagai krisis sosial yang dialami oleh peserta didik. Dalam melakukan Pk Mini, tim PkM memilih dua metode, yaitu metode ceramah dan diskusi. Kedua metode ini dilaksanakan dengan cara melakukan integrasi antara materi yang dipaparkan dan realitas krisis sosial yang ditemukan oleh peserta didik melalui diskusi, dalam hal ini diskusi membantu peserta didik untuk menyadari berbagai sikap buruk yang telah dilakukan sebagai bentuk nyata dari krisis sosial. Melalui metode ini, ditemukan hasil bahwa peserta didik di SMAK Sint Carolus Kupang telah terjerat dalam krisis sosial dalam kehidupannya. Hasil lain yang ditemukan adalah elemen-elemen dalam pastoral sekolah yang digunakan dalam menanggulangi secara konkret segala krisis sosial peserta didik. Hasil dari Pk Mini adalah bentuk generalisasi umu atas hasil yang didapatkan.

Abstract

Di era globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi yang pesat, Orang Muda Katolik (OMK) menghadapi tantangan serius dalam mempertahankan nilai-nilai iman Katolik. Pengaruh budaya sekuler, dominasi media sosial, serta terbatasnya pembinaan rohani mengakibatkan pemahaman iman yang dangkal, rendahnya partisipasi dalam kegiatan gereja, dan meningkatnya kerentanan terhadap nilai-nilai materialistik. Menjawab permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan di Paroki Santa Maria Immaculata-Batuna dengan melibatkan 47 OMK sebagai mitra utama. Tujuan kegiatan adalah memperkuat spiritualitas dan karakter OMK melalui internalisasi nilai-nilai iman Katolik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Shared Christian Praxis (SCP) dengan pendekatan partisipatif yang mencakup seminar, diskusi, dan sharing pengalaman iman. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tahapan pre-test, penyampaian materi, diskusi kelompok, sharing pengalaman, serta evaluasi post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman nilai-nilai iman Katolik, yang terlihat dari perbandingan skor pre-test dan post-test. Selain itu, peserta lebih aktif dalam diskusi, berani mengungkapkan pengalaman iman, dan menunjukkan komitmen untuk mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai iman dalam kehidupan nyata di gereja maupun masyarakat. Kesimpulannya, penerapan metode SCP terbukti efektif dalam membangun spiritualitas, memperkuat karakter, serta meningkatkan partisipasi aktif OMK. Model ini berpotensi untuk direplikasi di paroki lain guna mendukung pembinaan iman generasi muda Katolik secara berkelanjutan dan kontekstual.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to discover whether work motivation and lecturer’ competence influence lecturer’ performance at STIPAS Keuskupan Agung Kupang. The research method that used in this research is a quantitative method with an explanatory research approach to test the hypothesis. The data collection technique used a questionnaire which distributed to the research sample, and the data analysis technique uses descriptive data analysis and inferential data analysis. The results of the descriptive statistics analysis showed that the work motivation was catagorized as good, lecturers’ competence as good, and lecturers’ performance as good. The results of t-test showed that partially work motivation and lecturer’ competence had a positive and significant effect on the lecturer’ performance of STIPAS Keuskupan Agung Kupang. The results of F-test indicated that simultaneously the two independent variables: work motivation and, lecturers’ competence had a positive and significant effect on the lecturer’ competence. Therefore, these two variables are very necessary or very useful to improve the lecturer’ performance at STIPAS Keuskupan Agung Kupang, especially in the fields of education, research and community service.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the description of academic procrastination on student achievement for class of 2020 for the 2022/2023 academic year STIPAS Archdiocese of Kupang, to find out the relationship between academic procrastination on student achievement for class 2020 for the 2022/2023 academic year STIPAS Archdiocese of Kupang. This study used a descriptive quantitative method with research locations at STIPAS, Kupang Archdiocese. The population in this study were 78 people consisting of 38 students in class A and 40 students in class B and the sample used was the same as the population. The data collection technique used in this research is. While the data analysis techniques in this study are descriptive data analysis and inferential data analysis techniques. The results of the research based on statistical analysis show that the relationship between academic procrastination and student achievement in class 2020 at STIPAS Archdiocese of Kupang is 68.2%, meaning that academic procrastination has a significant relationship to learning achievement. Based on the results of the hypothesis testing it was found that the significance value was 0.00 with a probability of 0.05, so the decision was to reject the hypothesis (Ho) and accept the hypothesis (Ha) meaning that the academic procrastination variable has a significant relationship to learning achievement.

Abstract

The work-based learning model is a learning model that is student-centered, because this learning model is a means or provision that allows students to use the workplace context to learn and apply learning material. STIPAS Archdiocese of Kupang has currently implemented a work-based learning model in certain courses, but it is not well developed, because the learning model only focuses on theory. Meanwhile, by maximizing the work-based learning model, the results and achievement of learning targets can help students who, after graduating, can work in a number of formal sectors according to their skills. The aim of this research is to analyze the application of the work-based learning model so that we can find out the general picture of the use of work-based learning, supporting and inhibiting factors and what efforts need to be made so that this learning model can be optimized, because if this model is used effectively and efficiently then can improve the quality of student learning. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, where this method describes a particular situation which is the object of research. With this method, researchers obtained a lot of information regarding the implementation of the work-based learning model at STIPAS KAK. The results found are that the work-based learning model has been implemented well at STIPAS KAK, this can be seen from the results of graduates who have obtained jobs not only as religious teachers but some also work in other fields.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the motivation for boarding life and its impact on character formation of boarding children at STIPAS Kupang Archdiocese. This research uses qualitative methods with an empirical-rational approach, prioritizing content analysis of data from observations and interviews. The results show that dormitory life provides easier access to campus, opportunities for independent study, involvement in extracurricular activities, and supportive academic facilities. Despite the presence of inhibiting factors such as conflict between residents, academic stress, and lack of staff support, concrete steps have been identified to address these challenges, including education, mediation mechanisms, and increased staff support. Thus, the life of female students in the St. Theresia Avila STIPAS Kupang Archdiocese can be an important contributor in forming the character of female students as prospective catechists, by providing opportunities for the development of skills and values that are important in pastoral ministry.
