Abstract

Flood is an event of flow or stagnation of water in an area that occurs due to the overflow of water from existing canals exceeding the capacity of water disposal caused by high rainfall and the topographical conditions of the area in the form of lowlands to basins, causing physical, social and economic losses. This type of research is qualitative research because the results of this research were obtained from various data collection techniques such as interviews, document analysis, observation and documentation. The population in this study were residents in Tanjung Rejo Village, Medan Sunggal District. The sample is part of the population that has a quality that can represent the entire population. The sampling process was carried out non-randomly (nonprobability sampling) with a purposive sampling technique, namely the method of taking samples based on certain withdrawals. The criteria referred to in this study are local residents who have been affected by floods.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan dan kepatuhan petugas Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL) terhadap penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) melalui kegiatan sosialisasi dan penyebaran poster di lingkungan IPAL Rumah Sakit Umum Mitra Medika Amplas. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan petugas IPAL, yang menunjukkan bahwa meskipun sebagian besar petugas mematuhi peraturan penggunaan APD saat pengelolaan limbah medis, beberapa masih merasa kurang nyaman saat menggunakannya, terutama karena rasa panas dan pengap. Ketidaknyamanan ini dapat menurunkan konsistensi dalam penggunaan APD, meskipun rumah sakit telah menyediakan APD sesuai Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemahaman petugas tentang bahaya limbah medis cukup baik, seperti risiko infeksi, paparan zat radioaktif, dan cedera benda tajam. Namun, kendala seperti kurangnya pengawasan dan pelatihan berkelanjutan tetap menjadi hambatan. Edukasi yang berkelanjutan, peningkatan kualitas APD, dan evaluasi rutin diperlukan untuk memastikan kepatuhan yang optimal. Selain itu, pentingnya dukungan institusi dalam penyediaan fasilitas yang memadai dan pembentukan budaya keselamatan menjadi faktor kunci dalam keberhasilan penerapan Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja Rumah Sakit (K3RS). Temuan ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan kebijakan keselamatan kerja, menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih aman, serta mendukung implementasi K3RS untuk mengurangi risiko kecelakaan kerja dan penyakit akibat paparan limbah medis.

Abstract

Community service activities are a series of activities that involve the community to improve skills and knowledge as well as empower the community both economically and socially. In this research, community service focuses on interactive outreach about the importance of healthy and nutritious food to students at Muhammadiyah Middle School 61 Tanjung Selamat, In this research, the counseling method was used with an Education and Training approach to students at SMP Muhammadiyah 61 involving 50 students in grades 8 c and d. The results of this activity show a positive impact in increasing students’ knowledge and understanding regarding healthy and nutritious food. In the aspect of knowledge about Healthy and Nutritious Food there has been an increase of 56%, students are better able to know what healthy and nutritious food is and its purpose. Why we should eat healthy and nutritious food. Furthermore, knowledge about Healthy and Nutritious Food Components has increased by 74% where students are able to identify important components in healthy food such as protein, fat, carbohydrates, fiber and vitamins and minerals. In conclusion, healthy and nutritious food is an indicator of clean, healthy living behavior at school. This counseling can provide practical experience to students, so that they can apply this knowledge in everyday life. And it is hoped that students will prioritize eating healthy food, especially healthy snacks, bringing lunch and breakfast every day before doing activities.
