Abstract

This study analyzes the innovation, diffusion, and impact of the Tartila Method within the Gerakan Sekolah Mengaji (GSM) in Lumajang Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative case study, data were obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation involving 12 informants from JQH-NU administrators, teachers, and students. Data analysis followed Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña’s interactive model. Findings reveal that the Tartila Iqra’ Bil Qolam innovation—reducing six volumes into four—enhanced students’ Quranic reading and writing skills. The diffusion process aligned with Rogers’ five stages (knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation, confirmation) and was supported by Zaltman’s facilitative, educational, persuasive, and coercive strategies. The method fostered higher student participation, parental involvement, and strengthened religious character. The study contributes to Quranic education innovation in schools and offers a model for broader application. Future studies should expand regionally and adopt mixed methods for quantitative validation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of 21st-century skills (4C: critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration) with Islamic values in learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and library research method, the study reviews relevant national and international literature from 2020-2025 related to 4C development and Islamic education. Data were analyzed through content and thematic analysis to identify key concepts, strategies, and challenges in applying 4C within Islamic schools. The findings reveal that learning models such as STEM, Project-Based Learning, Problem-Based Learning, and Quantum Learning effectively foster students’ critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. However, the integration of Islamic values such as amanah (trustworthiness), ta’awun (cooperation), ijtihad (creative effort), and tafakkur (reflection) remains underexplored. This study proposes a new conceptual framework, the 4C-Islamic Integration Model, combining 21st-century competencies with Qur’an-based values to promote holistic and character-based learning. Theoretically, it enriches the discourse of progressive Islamic education, while practically it offers guidance for teachers and policymakers to design creative, collaborative, and value-oriented learning in the digital era.

Abstract

TikTok has become a significant platform transforming how teachers deliver content and share educational ideas. This study examines the application of teacher professional ethics in using TikTok as a learning tool and educational expression, and its effects on teacher professionalism and student engagement. Using a qualitative descriptive approach through library research, data were analyzed from literature on digital ethics, microlearning pedagogy, and teacher-student interaction. Findings indicate TikTok enables creative, concise, and interactive learning, increasing student motivation. Teachers who apply professional ethics ensuring content integrity, modeling digital behavior, separating personal and professional content, and managing interactions responsibly can optimize the platform’s benefits. Ethical challenges such as privacy, blurred boundaries, and reputational risks persist. Future research should include empirical observation, interviews, and content analysis.
