Abstract

Gross motor development in children is an important role for the progress of their movement skills and physical activities. Gross motor development is one of the important aspects that teachers and parents should pay attention to. Children who have good gross motor skills will be more flexible in mingling with their friends. This of course will affect the child's confidence when socializing with their friends. But not for those with disabilities. Grahita disabilities have problems related to gross motor, namely balance, coordination, body movement, muscle and bone strength and gross motor abilities of children with grahita disabilities can be associated with many physical activities. One of the physical activities is traditional games. This type of research uses a literature study in writing to review literature through various journals, theoretical references that are relevant to the research topic. The impact of traditional games on gross motor skills of children with disabilities is the main topic studied in this study. Based on the findings of the review, it can be concluded that traditional game activities have a significant important role in the gross motor development of children with disabilities. Various studies have shown that through traditional games, children with disabilities can experience improvements in gross motor skills, including aspects of balance, coordination, body movement, muscle strength, and other gross motor abilities.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the positive impact of traditional games on the gross motor development of children with intellectual disabilities through a literature review. The method employed was a literature study, analyzing relevant journals and theoretical references. The research findings indicate that traditional games play a crucial role in enhancing gross motor skills in children with intellectual disabilities, including balance, coordination, body movements, muscle strength, and other gross motor abilities. Traditional games provide varied movement stimuli, involving body coordination, and increasing children's participation in physical activities. Through traditional games, children with intellectual disabilities can improve their gross motor abilities, gain better self-confidence, and enhance social interaction with peers. Therefore, traditional games significantly contribute to the development of gross motor skills in children with intellectual disabilities. It is important to pay attention to and implement traditional games in the education and rehabilitation of children with intellectual disabilities. The implementation of traditional games can help improve the quality of life for these children by enhancing their gross motor skills and facilitating participation in physical activities. Thus, traditional games have the potential to be a valuable component in intervention programs for children with intellectual disabilities. Abstract

Permainan tradisional menjadi salah satu metode efektif untuk mendukung perkembangan ini, karena melibatkan aktivitas fisik sekaligus mengasah keterampilan sensorik, kognitif, sosial, dan olahraga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas permainan tradisional dalam meningkatkan motorik kasar anak pra-sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah tinjauan literatur (literature review) dengan menganalisis 11 jurnal ilmiah relevan yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria tertentu, seperti fokus pada permainan tradisional dan pengaruhnya terhadap motorik kasar anak pra-sekolah. Pencarian artikel dilakukan melalui beberapa platform database ilmiah, yaitu Scopus, Google Scholar, dan ScienceDirect, dengan kurun waktu terbit tahun 2019-2024. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa permainan tradisional, seperti engklek dan bakiak, secara signifikan meningkatkan koordinasi, keseimbangan, serta kekuatan otot anak. Aktivitas ini melibatkan gerakan tubuh yang dinamis, yang merangsang perkembangan motorik kasar secara alami. Selain itu, permainan tradisional juga mendukung interaksi sosial anak dan pengembangan keterampilan kognitif melalui aturan sederhana dan kerja sama dalam bermain.

Abstract

Background Extracurricular activities in schools play an important role in student character building, one of which is pencak silat. This study aims to analyze the influence of pencak silat extracurricular activities on student character building through a literature review approach. Objectives This study reveals that pencak silat not only develops physical abilities, but also values of discipline, responsibility, and respect for others. Through literature analysis, this study concludes that pencak silat can be an effective medium in student character building. Methods Research method This research uses a literature review approach by analyzing various secondary sources such as relevant journals, books, and articles. The analysis process involves identifying, evaluating, and synthesizing findings related to pencak silat and character building. Results The results of this study show that pencak silat extracurricular activities contribute significantly to student character building. The values taught in pencak silat include discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and respect, which are important for students' character development. Therefore, schools need to support this activity as an integral part of character education. Conclusion Based on a literature review, extracurricular pencak silat activities contribute significantly to student character development. The values taught in pencak silat include discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and respect, which are essential for student character development. Therefore, schools need to support these activities as an integral part of character education.
