Abstract

The purpose of this research is to optimize work facilities and security facilities for security officers at Banyuwangi Airport, with the hope of increasing the performance and efficiency of security officers in carrying out their duties. The research method used is a quantitative research method using questionnaires distributed to 50 security officers at Banyuwangi Airport to obtain data which is then analyzed. The results of the F test show that simultaneously or together the Work Facilities and Security Facilities have a significant effect on the Performance of Security Officers. Furthermore, the results of the t-test show that Work Facilities and Security Facilities each have a significant effect on Security Officer Performance. Therefore, it is important for airport management to pay attention to and improve Work Facilities and Security Facilities in order to improve the Performance of Security Officers at Banyuwangi Airport. The results of this study, it can be concluded that Work Facilities (X1) and Security Facilities (X2) have a significant effect on Security Officer Performance (Y) at Banyuwangi Airport. Work Facilities and Security Facilities factors affect 79% of Security Officer Performance, while 21% are influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

This research was conducted to investigate the effect of physical exercise on the flight performance of fixed-wing cadets at Indonesia Civil Pilot Academy in Banyuwangi. The research employed a quantitative methodology, utilizing data collection through a questionnaire. The questionnaire was distributed to the cadets selected as samples, specifically DIII PST 2, DIII PST 3, and DIII PST 4 cadets, with 43 participants. Based on the instrument test conducted using regression analysis with ANOVA, it was found that the regression model (H1) significantly explained the variation in the observed data, with a significant F-ratio of 33.153 and a very low p-value (<.001). The hypothesis test results revealed that the coefficient for the dependent variable, flight performance, was 0.728, with a standard error of 0.126. The standardized coefficient (standardized) for this variable was 0.669. The obtained t-value was 5.758. The research findings indicate a significant influence of the independent variable, "physical exercise", on the dependent variable, flight performance. Aviation training facilities can use the results of this study to develop policies that encourage the inclusion of hands-on training in the flight curriculum. By doing this, you can ensure cadets are in good enough physical shape to complete their flight training. This study's results may open the door for the creation of fresh hypotheses on the connection between physical preparation and flying performance. The results of this study may serve as the foundation for creating a novel conceptual framework in this area.

Abstract

A person's mental condition played a crucial role in shaping their overall well-being and influenced multiple aspects of their life. The study aimed to provide insights into the complex experiences of individuals dealing with depression, enhancing our understanding of mental health. Focusing on the character Laurel in Love Letters to the Dead, the research explored depression symptoms, factors, and coping mechanisms. Data was obtained by repeatedly reading the novel, taking notes, and then categorizing data related to this study. The results of this study show that the factors contributing to Laurel's depression were categorized into two main categories they were: firstly, a stressful environment and life events, and secondly, psychological vulnerability. Laurel also exhibited depression symptoms, including emotional, cognitive, motivational, and physical depression symptoms. Laurel used four types of the defense mechanisms they were repression, displacement, reaction formation, and sublimation to cope her depressive disorder.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of being overweight on cadets' mobility within the cockpit of the Cessna 172 SP aircraft during flight practice. The background of this research is the concern that being overweight may reduce the comfort and ability of cadets to operate aircraft instruments and controls, ultimately affecting flight safety. This research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to cadets of the Indonesian Aviation Academy Banyuwangi who practiced flying with the Cessna 172 SP aircraft. Data analysis was conducted using validity, reliability, and regression tests. The results indicate that being overweight has a significant impact on cadet mobility within the cockpit. Overweight cadets experience limitations in movement space, comfort, and the efficiency of operating aircraft instruments. These findings support the hypothesis that being overweight can affect cadet performance in the cockpit environment. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that aviation training institutions consider the health and fitness aspects of cadets as part of their training programs. Therefore, appropriate health and fitness standards can be established to ensure safety and efficiency in flight operations.

Abstract

The flight training process at APIB is not an easy task. Cadets will be exposed to situations that test their physical, mental, and psychosocial limits. Good psychosocial adjustment enables cadets to cope with the pressure and stress that arise, maintain emotional balance, boost motivation, and build positive interpersonal relationships with instructors and fellow cadets. However, at API Banyuwangi, there is a lack of counselors available to provide psychological support and emotional guidance to the cadets. This research aims to investigate the importance of counselor presence in enhancing the psychosocial adjustment of cadets at API Banyuwangi during the flight training process. This research used a quantitative approach with data collection through questionnaires administered to pilot cadets at the Banyuwangi Flight Academy. The results of the study indicate that the presence of counselors at API Banyuwangi has a significant impact on the psychosocial adjustment of cadets. Counselors serve as empathetic listeners, providing emotional support, practical advice, and career guidance that help cadets overcome the psychological pressures and challenges of intensive flight training. A strong positive correlation between the role of counselors and the psychosocial adjustment of cadets is revealed through linear regression analysis, marked by high t-statistic values and very low levels of significance (p < 0.001).

Abstract

Belajar membaca tidaklah mudah, siswa sering kali dihadapkan pada permasalahan yang ada di dalam dan di luar dirinya atau yang biasa disebut faktor internal dan eksternal. hal inilah yang menjadi penyebab kesulitan belajar membaca siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor kesulitan belajar membaca pada siswa kelas VI SDN 26 Pa’baeng-baeng Kabupaten Jeneponto. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyebab siswa mengalami kesulitan belajar membaca yaitu karena faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal meliputi tingkat kecerdasan siswa dan kurangnya motivasi serta minat membaca siswa. Adapun faktor eksternal yang menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesulitan belajar membaca yaitu keadaan lingkungan keluarga dan keadaan ekonomi orang tua

Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan ketahanan ekonomi pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) yang berada di wilayah pesisir Desa Blimbingsari melalui kegiatan pavingisasi. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra adalah akses jalan yang buruk menuju lokasi usaha, terutama saat musim hujan, yang menyebabkan terganggunya mobilitas barang dan pengunjung, serta menurunnya daya tarik kawasan sebagai destinasi wisata. Kondisi ini berdampak langsung pada menurunnya pendapatan UMKM dan berkurangnya stabilitas ekonomi masyarakat pesisir. Melalui pendekatan partisipatif, kegiatan pavingisasi dilakukan di jalur strategis yang menghubungkan area usaha dengan jalur utama dan titik kunjungan wisata pantai. Kegiatan ini melibatkan masyarakat setempat secara aktif dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan perawatan infrastruktur yang dibangun, serta didampingi oleh tim pengabdian dari perguruan tinggi. Selain pembangunan fisik, kegiatan ini juga disertai dengan pendampingan kepada pelaku UMKM terkait pentingnya infrastruktur pendukung dan peran lingkungan usaha yang tertata dalam menarik pelanggan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pavingisasi memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan aksesibilitas, kenyamanan lingkungan usaha, dan jumlah pengunjung ke lokasi UMKM. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga memperkuat kolaborasi antarwarga dan menumbuhkan kesadaran kolektif mengenai pentingnya menjaga infrastruktur publik sebagai bagian dari strategi ketahanan ekonomi lokal. PKM ini diharapkan menjadi model pemberdayaan masyarakat pesisir berbasis infrastruktur mikro yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain dengan karakteristik serupa.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini merupakan bagian dari pelaksanaan tridharma perguruan tinggi yang berfokus pada peningkatan literasi dan edukasi masyarakat terkait pengelolaan sampah di sekitar wilayah Bandara Banyuwangi, khususnya di Desa Badean, Kecamatan Blimbingsari. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran dan meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap pentingnya pengelolaan sampah yang baik dan berkelanjutan melalui pendekatan partisipatif. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan tentang dampak sampah terhadap lingkungan dan kesehatan, pelatihan pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga, serta pembentukan bank sampah berbasis masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah, terbentuknya satu unit bank sampah aktif, serta tumbuhnya inisiatif warga dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan secara berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong terbentuknya jejaring kolaboratif antarwarga dan perangkat desa dalam menjaga lingkungan bebas sampah di Desa Badean.

Abstract

This research investigates eco-friendly packaging practices at PT Yakult Indonesia Persada Cab. Padang, focusing on the relationships between packaging materials, marketing communications, perceived environmental impact, and consumer purchase intentions. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 100 consumers using structured surveys and analyzed through Smart PLS. The findings reveal that packaging materials significantly influence consumer perceptions of environmental impact and purchase intentions. While marketing communications were effective in enhancing purchase intentions, their impact on perceived environmental impact was not significant. Furthermore, perceived environmental impact was identified as a crucial mediator between packaging materials and consumer purchasing decisions. These insights underscore the need for PT Yakult to enhance its sustainability strategies and marketing efforts to align with consumer values, thereby fostering brand loyalty and promoting environmental sustainability in West Sumatra.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengoptimalkan fasilitas kerja dan fasilitas keamanan bagi petugas pengamanan di Bandara Banyuwangi, dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan kinerja dan efisiensi petugas pengamanan dalam menjalankan tugasnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada 50 petugas pengamanan di Bandara Banyuwangi untuk mendapatkan data sekunder yang kemudian dianalisis. Hasil uji F menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan atau bersama-sama Fasilitas Kerja (X1) dan Fasilitas Keamanan (X2) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Petugas Pengamanan yang ada di Bandara Banyuwangi. Selanjutnya hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa Fasilitas Kerja dan Fasilitas Keamanan masing-masing berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Petugas Pengamanan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Fasilitas Kerja (X1) dan Fasilitas Keamanan (X2) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Petugas Pengamanan (Y) di Bandara Banyuwangi.
