Abstract

This research investigates the use of drones and boats in monitoring the security of the water aerodrome area in Pang-Pang Bay. The aim is to measure the efficiency of using these two tools, compare their performance results, and evaluate the implications of the research results for security and operational development in the region. This research integrates qualitative and quantitative approaches to understand the role and challenges of each tool. The research results show that the use of drones provides significant efficiency in quickly reaching the incident point, covering a wide area, and aerial views that are useful in routine monitoring. On the other hand, boats have the advantage of quick response in emergency situations, stability in bad weather, and the ability to provide immediate assistance to individuals on the water. The results of the comparative analysis between the use of drones and boats reflect the special advantages of each tool in various aspects. The implication of this research is that the development of a security surveillance strategy in Pang-Pang Bay must consider the wise use of both tools, depending on operational needs and weather conditions. In an ideal situation, the combined use of drones and boats can provide a comprehensive solution to maintaining water safety. This research also makes an important contribution to the technology's development and application in the context of security surveillance. In conclusion, this research provides an in-depth understanding of the use of drones and boats in monitoring the Pang-Pang Bay water aerodrome area and provides a strong foundation for the development of better and more effective surveillance strategies in the area.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance the efficiency and security of the identity verification process for cadets at API Banyuwangi through the implementation of facial recognition technology using the Haar Cascade algorithm. In this study, experimental methods and statistical analysis were used to analyze the data obtained from a series of processing stages, including RGB to grayscale conversion, image resizing, and cropping. Data were collected through facial image acquisition using a webcam and processed to train the model and test the success of the verification system. Statistical analysis shows that preprocessing techniques have a significant impact on verification success, while facial recognition methods are also relevant. However, the data are not normally distributed, indicating the need for alternative analytical approaches. Thus, this research provides valuable insights into the potential of facial recognition technology in enhancing efficiency and security in identity management at educational institutions, while also highlighting the need for further research for the development of methods and deeper understanding.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of the integration of seafarers' competencies on the performance of aviation education by adapting the curriculum as a mediating variable at the Indonesian Aviation Academy Banyuwangi. The study uses an explanatory quantitative approach with structural equation modeling analysis based on Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire of 95 respondents consisting of cadets, instructors, and industry practitioners. The data was analyzed using SmartPLS 4 software to test the validity, reliability, and hypothetical relationships. The results of the study prove that the integration of seafarers' competencies has a significant effect on curriculum adaptation (β = 0.635; p < 0.01) and flight education performance (β = 0.274; p < 0.01). Curriculum adaptation also had a significant effect on the performance of aviation education (β = 0.615; p < 0.01) and acted as an effective partial mediator. The research model was able to explain the variation in flight education performance by 74.2% (R² = 0.742) with a substantive predictive relevance (Q² = 0.439). The integration of seafarers' competencies has been proven to improve the performance of aviation education directly or indirectly through curriculum adaptation. These findings recommend an interdisciplinary approach in the development of aviation vocational education curriculum through cross-sectoral competency integration.

Abstract

Abstract

This research investigates eco-friendly packaging practices at PT Yakult Indonesia Persada Cab. Padang, focusing on the relationships between packaging materials, marketing communications, perceived environmental impact, and consumer purchase intentions. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 100 consumers using structured surveys and analyzed through Smart PLS. The findings reveal that packaging materials significantly influence consumer perceptions of environmental impact and purchase intentions. While marketing communications were effective in enhancing purchase intentions, their impact on perceived environmental impact was not significant. Furthermore, perceived environmental impact was identified as a crucial mediator between packaging materials and consumer purchasing decisions. These insights underscore the need for PT Yakult to enhance its sustainability strategies and marketing efforts to align with consumer values, thereby fostering brand loyalty and promoting environmental sustainability in West Sumatra.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the regulation of legal protection for passengers who use scheduled national commercial air transportation services, as well as legal remedies for passengers who are harmed by scheduled national commercial air transportation companies. This study is normative legal research conducted by tracing the legislation relating to legal protection against commercial air transport passengers. Normative-qualitative analysis of data. The results showed that in the positive legal order in Indonesia, there are several laws and regulations relating to legal protection for air transportation passengers, namely: Law No. 15 of 1992, Law No. 8 of 1999, and Government Regulation No. 40 of 1995. The regulated legal protection material includes the responsibility of the air carrier company, which consists of responsibility for passengers, responsibility for goods, responsibility for delays (delays), and insurance responsibility. Considering that the legal instruments relating to the protection of air transportation passengers are old, it is necessary to review the materials or substances because they are no longer in accordance with the times (up to date), especially regarding the provisions of the Compensation Value. Therefore, it is expected that the legislator will immediately form a new law that accommodates the interests of the community as consumers.
