Abstract

Research on the influence of leadership orientation on employee performance in the health services sector, with a case study at the Husada Jombang Clinic. Effective leadership has been shown to have a significant impact on the performance of healthcare organizations. Using a quantitative approach, this research involved 100 employees of the Husada Jombang Clinic as respondents. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire that measured employee perceptions of leadership orientation and self-report performance. Data analysis was carried out using multiple regression methods and path analysis to test the relationship between variables. The research results show that transformational leadership orientation has a significant positive influence on employee performance (β = 0.45, p < 0.01). Mediation analysis reveals that work motivation acts as a partial mediator in the relationship between leadership orientation and employee performance. This research provides a theoretical contribution by expanding understanding of the mechanisms through which leadership orientation influences performance in the context of health services in Indonesia. Practically, these findings can be used by health leaders to develop more effective leadership strategies to improve employee performance and service quality.

Abstract

Background: The occurrence of failure to thrive in children under five is caused by chronic malnutrition so that children under five are short according to their age, which is usually called stunting. One of the factors causing stunting is pregnancy. Pregnant women with CED (Chronic Energy Deficiency) cause the reserves of nutrients needed by the fetus in the womb to be weak. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between the nutritional status of pregnant women and stunting in toddlers at the Husada Clinic, Jombang. Method: This research was conducted in July at the Husada Clinic, Jombang. This type of research is retrospective analytical. The population in this study was 55 toddlers with a sample of 33 toddlers. The sampling technique is simple random sampling. The independent variable in this research is the Nutritional Status of Pregnant Women, the dependent variable is Stunting in Toddlers. The instrument in this research is a questionnaire. Results: The results of the research from 33 respondents at the Husada Clinic showed that the majority of toddlers, 59.22%, had the status of pregnant women with CED (Chronic Energy Deficiency). The majority of toddlers, 62.14%, experienced stunting in the short category. Data analysis from the Chi-Square correlation test and asymptotic significance (2-sided) resulted in a p-value of 0.02 < 0.05. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between the nutritional status of pregnant women and stunting in toddlers at the Husada Clinic, Jombang. Conclusion: Based on this research, it can provide input and information to health workers to provide education about nutrition for pregnant women through activities, namely pregnant women's classes and posyandu so that health workers play a big role in efforts to prevent stunting.

Abstract

Background: Infectious diseases that women often experience in obstetric cases are usually problems in the vaginal area, puerperal infections and some cases of infections of the reproductive organs. Efforts to reduce the negative impact of infection can be done by looking for compounds that have antimicrobial activity, one of which is Telang Leaf (Clitoria ternatea). Telang leaves contain flavonoids, flavanols, kaempferol, quercetin and mirisetin. From the results of various studies Telang Leaves have a pharmacological influence as an antimicrobial. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the activity of telang leaf extract against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and Candida albicans fungi based on the diameter of the inhibitory zone. Design: This research used experimental design. Methods: The research method used is experimental laboratories. The test was carried out by extracting Telang leaves by the maceration method, then evaporated with a rotary evaporator so that a concentrated extract was obtained. Extracts Made concentrations of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%. The antimicrobial activity test of the extract against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and candida albicans fungus was carried out by disc diffusion method. Results: The results showed that negative controls did not have an inhibitory zone diameter. The average diameter of the inhibition zone of telang leaf extract in Staphylococcus aureus is the highest with a concentration of 50%, which is 17.8 mm and a positive control of 42.6 mm. while in candida albicans fungus with a concentration of 50% with an inhibitory diameter of 16.5 mm and a positive control of 26.2 mm. Conclusion: The conclusion is that telang leaves have antimicrobial activity at a concentration of 50% against Staphylococcus aureus and candida albicans. So that, telang leaf extract can be developed as a treatment in infectious diseases in case of obstetrics.

Abstract

Background: Anemia is a micronutrient problem that occurs widely worldwide, especially in developing countries, which is estimated to occur in 30% of the world's population. Postpartum hemorrhage is bleeding that is more than 500 cc that occurs after the baby is born vaginally or more than 1000 mL after an abdominal delivery. Objectives: The study's purpose is to determine whether there is a relationship between anemia in pregnancy and postpartum bleeding due to uterine atonia. Methods: The research design used cross-sectional. The population was all pregnant women with postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine atonia as many as 34 respondents, the sample was pregnant women with postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine atonia as many as 34 respondents, with a total sampling technique. The independent variable was anemia in pregnancy and the dependent variable was uterine atonia, data collection techniques using questionnaires, and data processing by editing, coding, scoring, and tabulating. Data analysis using the Chi-square test. Results: Data analysis using the Chi-square test can be found from 34 mothers giving birth at Syamrabu Bangkalan Hospital, 11 mothers with anemia in pregnancy were obtained, 45.5% experienced postpartum bleeding due to uterine atonia and 54.5% did not bleed. Meanwhile, 23 mothers did not experience anemia in pregnancy with 4.3% experiencing postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine atonia and 95.7% not experiencing postpartum hemorrhage. The results of the statistical test using there is a relationship between anemia in pregnancy and postpartum bleeding because of uterine atonia using the statistical p-value of the Chi-square p-value test < 0.05, then there is a relationship between the two variables with a p-value of 0.001 < 0.05.   Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is a relationship between anemia in pregnancy and postpartum bleeding due to uterine atonia.
