Abstract

Abstrak: Dalam era pendidikan global yang kompetitif, manajemen humas dan pemasaran berperan vital dalam memastikan lembaga pendidikan tidak hanya bertahan, tetapi juga berkembang. Hal ini sangat relevan bagi Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL) yang berada di luar negeri, di mana peserta didiknya berasal dari beragam budaya. Studi ini menganalisis peran kepemimpinan dalam strategi manajemen humas dan pemasaran yang diimplementasikan oleh SIKL untuk meningkatkan reputasinya dan menarik minat calon siswa, sambil tetap mengimplementasikan pembelajaran dan nilai-nilai pendidikan nasional Indonesia. Studi ini mengadopsi pendekatan kualitatif, mengumpulkan data melalui serangkaian wawancara, observasi langsung, dan analisis dokumen terkait. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan di SIKL memainkan peran kunci dalam menerapkan strategi komunikasi yang efektif, memanfaatkan berbagai media sosial, website, dan publikasi untuk membangun citra positif. Selain itu, kepemimpinan SIKL mendorong implementasi kegiatan pemasaran yang inovatif seperti penyelenggaraan acara budaya, seminar pendidikan, dan program orientasi yang tidak hanya meningkatkan visibilitas sekolah tetapi juga memperkuat hubungan dengan stakeholder utama termasuk siswa, orang tua, alumni, dan komunitas lokal. Studi ini menegaskan pentingnya kepemimpinan dalam merancang dan mengintegrasikan strategi humas dan pemasaran untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan citra pendidikan, khususnya bagi lembaga pendidikan Indonesia di luar negeri seperti SIKL, guna mempertahankan keunggulan kompetitif mereka di pasar pendidikan global.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the practice of inclusive education at Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL). This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Information sources were gathered from teachers, parents, and the school principal through semi-structured interviews. Observations were conducted using a non-participatory method, where the researcher acted as an observer of the implementation of inclusive education at Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur, encompassing the diversity of student practices. Documentation was collected from data on student diversity, supporting facilities for inclusive learning activities, and records of inclusive education evaluation results. Data analysis techniques employed triangulation, involving data collection, data reduction, verification, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that inclusive education at Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur is implemented through various strategies that support student diversity, including differentiated learning, multicultural classrooms, and innovative learning technologies. The positive impacts of inclusive education include students’ social development and increased student participation. This study recommends strengthening collaboration with external parties, enhancing teacher training, and developing policies that support the sustainability of inclusive education at Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur.

Abstract

The International Community Service program aimed to empower early childhood education by training kindergarten teachers at Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL), Malaysia, to design board games that enhance self-care skills in young children. This program utilized a participatory action research (PAR) approach, engaging 20 teachers through workshops and mentoring sessions. The results revealed a significant improvement in the teachers' ability to create interactive and engaging learning activities, with self-care concepts successfully integrated into the board games. The games were well-received by students, enhancing their motivation and engagement in practicing self-care routines. These findings emphasize the effectiveness of game-based learning in teaching essential life skills. It is recommended to continue the training sessions and expand collaboration with other educational institutions to ensure lasting impact
