Abstract

Naturalist intelligence of early childhood has a very big role in today's modern age as the basis for children to have environmental-loving behaviour. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Loose Parts learning media on the naturalist intelligence. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with data collection techniques through multiple intelligence tests of children's intelligence instruments. The subjects of this study were 17 children aged 5-6 years. The results showed that there was a significant effect of giving Loose Parts media to the naturalist intelligence of early childhood after seeing a difference between pre-test and post-test. The use of natural-based Loose Parts media can be a means for teachers to increase children's naturalist intelligence in kindergarten and be a development of conventional media made from manufacturers in the learning cycle so far. For further research, it is recommended to look at the influence of other factors on naturalist intelligence in early childhood. Abstract

Improving the quality of PAUD teacher services is essential in developing creativity and inspiring educational aids. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) technique is used to improve PAUD teacher services by encouraging creativity and producing educational teaching aids that are inspiring through Community Service (PKM). PKM begins with a collaborative planning phase with PAUD teachers and other relevant stakeholders. The PKM team engages teachers in workshops and meetings to identify needs and actively participates in training sessions, hands-on activities, and reflection sessions during implementation. They are encouraged to try new techniques, discuss their experiences, and work together to overcome problems and obstacles that arise along the way. The Joint Community Service team provides ongoing support and direction, fostering a collaborative and empowered atmosphere where instructors can leverage their creativity and build engaging instructional resources. The impact of the Joint Community Service was evaluated using a variety of data collection approaches, including surveys, observations, interviews, and recordings of the instructor's creative practices and the resulting pedagogical materials. These findings indicate that the self-confidence, knowledge, and abilities of PAUD teachers significantly increase in designing and making educational teaching aids that are inspiring. This study generates a sense of ownership, empowerment, and continued professional growth by integrating PAUD teachers as active participants and research partners. It also makes it easier for participating teachers and the more prominent early childhood education community to disseminate and share best practices. These findings can help educators, researchers, and policymakers create and implement collaborative, context-appropriate interventions to enhance teacher creativity in early childhood education. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of early childhood executive function on emotional dysregulation. Participants were parents of children aged 5 to 6. Primary data was acquired by sending surveys via a Google Form. A correlational quantitative research approach was used. The research findings indicate that there is a relationship between executive function and emotional dysregulation in early childhood, particularly in Tanah Datar Regency. With a hypothesis test, the obtained value of r is 0.156, while the critical value (rtabel) for a sample size of 162 individuals is 0.148 at a significance level of 5%. The correlation test using SPSS 21 yields a significance value of 0.161, indicating a strong correlation between the two variables. The results showed that children's emotional dysregulation was highly influenced by their level of executive function in early childhood. This study emphasizes the need of recognizing and fostering executive function in early children to promote healthy emotional regulation, providing parents with vital insights into understanding and supporting their children's emotional development.

Abstract

The aim of this International Community Service endeavor is to offer training to future educators of early childhood on creating basic storybooks for instructional use in preschool units. The focus lies on utilizing the Canva digital platform for crafting teaching materials. The target recipients of this service are 50 students affiliated with the Diploma Association of Early Childhood Education (PDPAKK) at UPSI, Malaysia. The methodology employed is Participatory Action Research (PAR). After the training was completed, an assessment carried out by the community service team revealed that the training participants responded positively to the training session. The enthusiasm of the participants was seen by active participation in training activities. The success of the training was proven by the participants' enthusiasm and active participation in activities such as asking, discussing, and answering questions from the presenters.

Abstract

The Joint Community Service aimed to provide training for early childhood education (PAUD) teachers in utilizing Google for Education for assessing the "Kurikulum Merdeka" curriculum within Early Childhood Education Units. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) method was employed, involving 40 PAUD teachers from the Tanah Datar District. The outcomes of this training program can be summarized as follows: 1) A significant enhancement was observed in the teachers' comprehension and skills in leveraging the Google for Education platform for curriculum assessment within the framework of "Kurikulum Merdeka" in Early Childhood Education Units, and 2) the training program achieved an average rating of 3.92, indicating its effectiveness. The implications of this program are substantial, as it lays a strong foundation for schools to continue training PAUD teachers in utilizing educational technology, such as Google for Education, to support the "Kurikulum Merdeka." Furthermore, the utilization of the Participatory Action Research approach in this community engagement initiative can serve as a model for similar endeavors in other regions, promoting active involvement from all stakeholders in educational program planning and evaluation.

Abstract

The various types of assessments that exist at the PAUD unit level require innovation to meet the demands of the times. In field observations, it was found that portfolio assessment was still manual, so it needed to be fully documented. This study aims to develop an early childhood assessment tool based on an e-portfolio in PAUD units. This type of research is development. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with a 4D model. This research only reached the development stage. The instrument used is the media feasibility test and the practicality test. The test subjects in this study were 20 kindergarten teachers. The resulting product has been validated by 3 material experts and 3 media experts. The methods used to collect data are interviews and questionnaires. The instrument used in collecting data is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The research results, namely the processing of the material feasibility test, obtained results of 90% and the media 91.67%. It was concluded that the e-portfolio device is valid and can be used, while for the practicality test, the results obtained were 85.86%, which means the device is practical to use.

Abstract

The International Community Service program aimed to empower early childhood education by training kindergarten teachers at Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL), Malaysia, to design board games that enhance self-care skills in young children. This program utilized a participatory action research (PAR) approach, engaging 20 teachers through workshops and mentoring sessions. The results revealed a significant improvement in the teachers' ability to create interactive and engaging learning activities, with self-care concepts successfully integrated into the board games. The games were well-received by students, enhancing their motivation and engagement in practicing self-care routines. These findings emphasize the effectiveness of game-based learning in teaching essential life skills. It is recommended to continue the training sessions and expand collaboration with other educational institutions to ensure lasting impact
