Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi otomasi dan elektronika saat ini diharapkan mampu mendukung pelaku usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM) dalam rangka meningkatkan produktifitasnya. Dalam penelitian ini, dibuat sebuah purwarupa sistem pengisian kemasan botol minuman dengan memanfaatkan beberapa teknologi, diantarnya modul PLC Outseal, HMI Haiwell, sistem pneumatika dan beberapa komponen elektronika pendukung. Dalam penelitian ini, sederet botol kemasan disusun di atas konveyor menuju sistem pengisian. Sensor akan mendeteksi posisi botol tepat di bawah outlet pengisi. Cairan akan diisikan ke dalam botol berdasarkan waktu yang ditetapkan. Saat selesai mengisi, posisi botol akan dirotasikan menuju sistem pneumatika guna menutup botol secara otomatisdan akan dijalankan menuju konveyor lain menuju bagian penyimpanan. Dari hasil pengujian performa sistem, diperoleh bahwa proses pengisian sebuah botol kemasan membutuhkan waktu 38,97 detik. Supaya waktu menjadi lebih efisien, kecepatan dan torsi motor penutup botol perlu ditingkatkan. Selain itu sensor level cairan perlu ditambahkan agar memberhentikan proses pengisian botol secara otomatis

Abstract

Beberapa inovasi teknologi dalam budidaya tanaman sayur hidroponik dilakukan secara outdoor dengan tujuan agar mendapatkan perlakuan yang lebih alami. Tetapi, metode tersebut menuntut perhatian yang lebih sehingga terhindar dari potensi kerugian seperti penyakit tanaman, iklim yang tidak menentu, dan sebagainya. Dalam penelitian ini, diaplikasikan metode indoor vertical farming pada pembudidayaan sayur Selada secara hidroponik dengan teknik Nutrient Film Techniques. Proses pengendalian dan pemantauan dilakukan secara real time dengan melibatkan beberapa teknologi semi industri seperti sensor, modul Arduiono dan ESP 32 serta teknologi Internet of Things. Sensor yang digunakan mengukur kelembaban udara, suhu air, pH, serta TDS dengan nilai set point telah diatur sesuai kebutuhan tanaman Selada, yaitu secara berturut-turut sebesar 80%; 26°C; 8; dan 560 ppm. Data yang terbaca oleh sensor telah berhasil dikirim ke platform ThingsBoard dan modul LCD HMI Nextion. Persen error secara keseluruhan dari data pembacaan sensor berkisar antara 0,16% sampai dengan 4,70%. Kepresisian sensor diperoleh sebesar 1,809 % dengan perhitungan pooled relative standard deviation. Di masa mendatang, perlu dikembangkan penerapan perlakuan cahaya buatan dan pemanfaatan gas tertentu yang kemungkinan mampu mempengaruhi pertumbuhan tanaman hidroponik.

Abstract

Kegiatan tridarma perguruan tinggi adalah aktifitas yang wajib dilaksanakan oleh dosen, yang salah satu kegiatannya adalah Pengabdian pada masyarakat (PPM). Aktualisasi PPM dapat berupa pemberian Training Kompetensi kepada guru-guru sekolah vokasi (SMK). Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan SDM tenaga pendidik yang dapat ditularkan kepada peserta didik.Kegiatan ini berupa pelatihan kepada guru-guru se Kabupaten Sintang dibidang Otomasi Industri berbasis Outseal PLC. Tujuannya selain untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dan murid SMK di Sintang, juga untuk memperkenalkan teknologi murah otomasi berupa outseal seal PLC berbasis piranti mikrokontroller. Sehingga teknologi ini nantinya dapat menjadi alternatif pilihan dalam pengembangan modul praktikum di SMK-SMK se Kabupaten Sintang. Tempat pelaksanaan kegiatan di SMK Negeri 1 Sintang yang diikuti oleh 8 guru perwakilan jurusan teknik listrik, jurusan teknik elektronika dan jurusan audio vidio. Dan juga melibatkan 8 siswa semester XII yang akan melaksanakan kegiatan praktek kerja industri. Waktu pelaksanaan selama 4 hari dari tanggal 5 Oktober sampai 8 Oktober 2022, dengan durasi 32 jam pertemuan. Kegiatan ini juga melibatkan mahasiswa semester VI Program Studi Teknik Elektronika Jurusan Teknik Elektro sebagai pendamping pelaksanaan pelaksanaan pelatihan dan sebagai pembuat modul-modul latih praktikum. Hasil kegiatan terlaksananya pelatihan yang sangat antusias diikuti oleh peserta pelatihan dengan penuh selama 32 jam kegiatan. Selama pelaksanaan peserta aktif dalam melakukan percobaan sehingga memiliki kemampuan dalam membuat program, melakukan komunikasi antara perangkat PC ke Outseal PLC, mampu melakukan instalasi instrumen input dan output dan mampu mengoperasikan perangkat kontrol (PLC Outseal). Dan hasil kegiatan lain SMK memiliki ketetarikan dalam mengembangkan perangkat praktik otomasi berbasis Outseal PLC dan team PPM siap untuk membantu dalam pengembangan modul praktikum mereka.

Abstract

In modern times, aspects of life have developed increasingly rapidly, especially in the field of electronics and technology. Where there are various components that can be programmed digitally,which includes Field Programmable Gate Array, which has been widely developed and studied. Thesystem to be operated is the basic logic gate, running led, flip flop, dc motor and stepper. The materialdiscussed in the trainer system programming is about counters, ring counters, and buffers. This trainerhelps the student learning system in designing digital systems that will program a system using a programlanguage, namely the VHDL language.

Abstract

This research focuses on developing an IoT-based capacitive sensing system for monitoring water volume in tanks, suitable for specific residential and industrial applications. The main capacitive sensor utilizes a 32 cm x 6 cm x 2 mm aluminum plate coated with resin to protect against moisture and contaminants. Initial evaluations demonstrated high sensitivity and rapid response in detecting liquid levels, with an 8.23% margin of error. However, further evaluation is necessary to address specific aspects such as resolution and response stability. Next steps include refining the design, conducting additional experiments, and optimizing sensor parameters. These findings aim to provide deeper insights into capacitive sensor technology and open new possibilities for its application across various technological contexts.

Abstract

A monitoring system for fuel availability at Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) is an absolute necessity. The fuel availability in the generator set must be guaranteed because it ensures the energy supply and continuous operation. This research purpose is to create a robust and effective sensor that can be monitored in real-time so that industry players can estimate the consumption of fuel at the BTS in a certain period. The novelty of this research is that instead of looking at the amount of fuel consumption/reduction like the previous research, this study focuses on how much diesel availability is in the generator tank. So, calculating fuel requirements and predicting actual consumption are done directly. The sensor is a reed-switch oil level sensor and is connected to ESP32 as the microcontroller. It's installed horizontally and uses an optimum distance between sensors of 2.5 mm to improve the sensor reading's accuracy. The test results of converting voltage values into ADC signals on sensor readings produced a determination coefficient of 0.9987, which showed the reliability of the sensor-level design. The sensor precision test results produced an RSD value of 0.17% and the accuracy test produced an error range of -3% to 2% with an average error value of 1.59%. These results indicate that the designed level sensor has good precision and accuracy. Through this research, the provider can predict and plan their fuel consumption needs for BTS power supply and increase the Domestic Component Level in the sensor industry.

Abstract

Solar Power Plants (PLTS) have great potential in Indonesia due to the year-round sunshine. To monitor the performance of solar panels, which are the main component of PLTS, an effective monitoring system is required. However, there are several challenges in remote monitoring of PLTS. The solution is to use a device that helps humans monitor PLTS performance and send notifications to phones or computers via the internet. One platform that can be used is Adafruit, an IoT platform that offers remote monitoring via the internet with hardware support and a broad community. The obtained data show that the measurement values of current, voltage, and power from the battery, solar panels, and inverter have relatively small deviations, with a Relative Deviation Average (RSR) of 4.4676%. The Overall Accuracy Rate, reaching 95.5324%, indicates that the system is reliable in providing accurate measurements, closely matching the expected reference values. Abstract

ABSTRACK Relating to climatic conditions or areas that have unstable temperatures. Many plants and animals experience physical weakness. Just like free-range chickens, they really need stable and adequate temperature conditions, so they can grow well and optimally. The optimal temperature for free-range chickens during the brooding period ranges from 31-32°C. Therefore, it is important to regulate the temperature of the cage to suit the needs of the chicks. When the chicks are still small, the temperature used as an artificial heating device is a yellow incandescent lamp installed in the cage to provide warmth to the chicks. To maintain the temperature in the free-range chicken coop. So, the right method is to provide a stable temperature for free-range chicks. An Intelligent System is used in the Village Chicken Cage, to be able to maintain the temperature in the cage remains stable and optimal, as well as automatic feeding and drinking. With the Smart System in the Village Chicken Cage, the village chicks can grow well. The temperature in this tool system can be maintained according to the set point, feeding also becomes automatic, so that when this tool is used, free-range chicks in the cage are rarely attacked by disease and can grow healthily and optimally. Abstract

This research aims to develop a prototype of a laboratory-scale wave generator to explore the potential of river wave energy, which has mostly been focused on marine energy due to its significant potential. The device consists of a container measuring 100x22x30 cm, using a servo motor to generate water ripples and an ultrasonic sensor to detect ripple height. Two propulsion methods are employed: simultaneous and alternating, with more varied ripple patterns observed in the alternating method. Changes in the servo motor’s angle produce three thrust levels with different wave heights: slow (1-2 cm), moderate (2.5-3 cm), and strong (3 cm). The findings highlight the renewable energy potential of river wave energy, which can be harnessed sustainably, reducing carbon emissions, dependency on fossil fuels, while enhancing energy security and job creation.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the utilization of water waves as a source of electrical energy using piezoelectric crystals. In this study, a device is designed to harness water waves to drive an iron marble that strikes piezoelectric crystals, generating electrical signals. The generated electrical signals are then directed to a peak detector circuit to convert the AC signal into DC, which is temporarily stored in a capacitor. This process ensures signal stability before further processing. Subsequently, the stored electrical signals in the capacitor are processed using a step-up boost converter to increase the voltage. The boosted voltage is then regulated by a charger module for efficient and safe battery charging. The generated electrical energy is stored in a battery for future use. This research aims to harness the kinetic energy from water waves and convert it into stable and well-managed electrical energy, thereby potentially supporting the development of wave-based renewable energy technology
