Abstract

The current environmental crisis still requires special attention from all parties considering that the impacts will be felt globally. All religions, including Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism and others, also have a crucial role in maintaining environmental conservation. Through teachings, religion is believed to be able to be a power to always preserve the environment. This has been proven by the people of Reco Kertek Village, Wonosobo, who consistently maintain environmental sustainability in the Mount Sindoro area so that it becomes a tourist destination with its natural beauty. The purpose of this study is to reveal how environmental conservation is carried out by the multi-cultural community of Reco Village and how they use the Qur'an as an inspiration for environmental conservation. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative field-based methodology (field research) with the object of research in Reco Village, Kertek District, Wonosobo Regency, using phenomenology as its approach based on Petter L Berger's social construction theory. With this methodology and approach, this study succeeded in revealing the finding that the spirit of the Qur'an implemented by the Reco community was able to motivate them to carry out environmental conservation programs, including the Mountain Belt Program, Basecamp Management, and social community activities.. The Reco Village community bases their conservation spirit on QS Al-Rum: 41 and QS Al-A’raf: 10 which state that the destruction of nature is caused by human actions, whereas nature itself provides many benefits for human life.

Abstract

This study explores the challenges and strategies of Arabic language teachers in addressing student plagiarism in the era of Large Language Models (LLMs) from a constructivist learning perspective. The research is motivated by the increasing use of artificial intelligence tools that provide instant answers, which potentially reduce students’ critical thinking and original learning processes. The objective of this study is to describe forms of student plagiarism, patterns of LLM utilization in Arabic learning, and effective teacher strategies to maintain academic integrity. The research subjects were documents and scientific articles related to AI use in education, selected through purposive sampling. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using a library research method. The research instruments consisted of document analysis sheets. Data were collected through literature review and documentation, and analyzed using content analysis techniques involving coding, categorization, and thematic interpretation. The findings indicate that while LLMs contribute positively to vocabulary enrichment, translation practice, and adaptive learning, they also increase the risk of plagiarism due to students’ dependency on instant outputs. Teachers face challenges in students’ digital literacy and ethical awareness. Effective strategies include process-based assessment, reflective tasks, portfolio-based evaluation, and strengthening AI literacy. In conclusion, LLM integration in Arabic learning requires pedagogical adaptation and clear ethical guidelines so that technology functions as a learning aid rather than a substitute for students’ intellectual work.

Abstract

This study analysis the problems of the implementation of the inquiry learning model in Arabic language learning in Indonesia (Madrasah Tsanawiyah) and Malaysia (Sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan) through a comparative literature study based on content analysis. Data were obtained from scientific journals related to the inquiry learning model in Arabic language learning and journals, books, and policies published 2010-2024. The results showed multidimensional problems in both countries: (1) Teachers: low mastery of inquiry methodology and Arabic; (2) Students: low basic language skills and passive learning habits; (3) Linguistics: the complexity of Arabic grammar and the interference of the mother tongue; (4) Resources: limited time allocation and inadequate facilities. Integrative solutions include: intensive and practical teacher capacity building through Indonesia-Malaysia hybrid teacher training, adjustment of learning models and approaches using guided inquiry, use of technology and development of learning resources, preparation of students and creation of learning climate, adjustment of evaluation systems and supporting policies. It can be concluded that the success of the inquiry requires a holistic approach based on the local reality of each country.
