Abstract

Abstract; Academic procrastination is an individual's deliberate delay in starting, working on, and completing academic tasks. Procrastination is caused by finding it difficult to do tasks, when given a task load, a procrastinator tends to delay and prefer to do things he likes. This article aims to examine the handling of academic procrastination. The research method used study of literature on how to overcome academic procrastination from relevant sources. The data collection technique collect several previous studies and then analyze and conclude them conclusion is obtained regarding the prevention of academic procrastination. The data sources used are articles, journals, and books that discuss academic procrastination. Data sources are obtained from various search sites such as Google Scholar, Science Direct, SAGE Pub, etc. The results showed that academic procrastination can be overcome by increasing self-regulation, making plans, setting schedules based on priorities, preparing thoroughly, doing tasks step by step, upgrading knowledge and skills, identifying constraints, motivating yourself. Keyword; Academic procrastination, College student, Overcoming. Abstrak; Penundaan akademik adalah penundaan yang disengaja individu dalam memulai, mengerjakan, dan menyelesaikan tugas akademik. Penundaan disebabkan karena merasa sulit mengerjakan tugas, ketika diberi beban tugas, seorang penunda cenderung menunda-nunda dan lebih suka melakukan hal-hal yang disukainya. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penanganan prokrastinasi akademik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan tentang cara mengatasi prokrastinasi akademik dari sumber-sumber yang relevan. Teknik pengumpulan data mengumpulkan beberapa penelitian sebelumnya kemudian dianalisis dan disimpulkan bahwa diperoleh kesimpulan mengenai pencegahan prokrastinasi akademik. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah artikel, jurnal, dan buku yang membahas tentang prokrastinasi akademik. Sumber data diperoleh dari berbagai situs pencarian seperti Google Scholar, Science Direct, SAGE Pub, dll. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prokrastinasi akademik dapat diatasi dengan meningkatkan regulasi diri, membuat rencana, menetapkan jadwal berdasarkan prioritas, mempersiapkan dengan matang, mengerjakan tugas langkah demi langkah, meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan, mengidentifikasi hambatan, memotivasi diri sendiri.

Abstract

This family financial planning training for pre-marital age aims to prepare future husbands and wives to have understanding and skills regarding family financial management, especially in making family financial plans so that financial stability is created in the household, and the formation of a prosperous family, sakinah mawaddah warahmah. The method of Family Financial Planning training activities, for the pre-marital age community of Pasir Nangka Village at the Pasir Nangka Village Hall Office, Tigaraksa District, Tangerang Regency, Banten, is carried out in the form of lectures and material presentations using power points, practice or simulations, discussions and questions answer. Overall, this community service activity went very well. Participants' enthusiasm during the training activities was very high. Participants listened to the material carefully and were active in discussion and question and answer activities, and requested that training be held again

Abstract

Background: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini dilakukan dengan memberikan penyuluhan terkait praktik judi online. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap bahaya, ancaman, dan risiko dari praktik judi online. Metode: PkM ini dilakukan dengan metode pendidikan masyarakat, khususnya dalam bentuk penyuluhan dengan metode sosialisasi dan diskusi. Kegiatan ini bekerja sama dengan Liga Mahasiswa Nasional untuk Demokrasi (LMND) dan Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika Republik Indonesia. Penyuluhan diikuti lebih dari 180 peserta dari civitas academia Universitas Muhammadiyah A.R. Fachruddin dan umum. Persepsi peserta mengenai praktik judi online diambil sebagai data melalui pengisian formulir sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan berlangsung. Hasil: Melalui pengambilan data yang telah dilakukan, terlihat hasil penyuluhan berupa peningkatan persepsi peserta terhadap bahaya judi online. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan PkM ini menjadi sikap tegas dan diharapkan dapat mendorong langkah berikutnya dalam pemberantasan praktik judi online yang merugikan masyarakat.

Abstract

Culture shock is a phenomenon that manifests in individuals encountering alterations in their surroundings or cultural context compared to their original environment and culture. This occurrence frequently manifests within professional, social, or academic settings. This research endeavors to elucidate the phenomenon of academic culture shock experienced by Aanvulen postgraduate students. This research methodology employs a quantitative survey approach. The participants in this study comprised active postgraduate students with diverse academic backgrounds from various departments, totaling 20 respondents from the West Java province, each having a maximum of two years of lecture attendance. The instrument employed in this study was a culture shock questionnaire comprising 16 statement items designed to identify and assess affective, behavioral, and cognitive dimensions. The analysis of data employed in this study was of a descriptive nature. The findings indicated that 60% of Aanvulen students experienced culture shock within the moderate shock category.

Abstract

Students frequently face difficulties in academic management causing mental health disorders such as anxiety, stress, and even depression. This research aims to describe the level of stress and anxiety experienced by students. The current study applied a descriptive quantitative with a non- probability sampling procedure and a saturated sampling technique on 27 students as its respondents. The Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 21 (DASS 21) was used to measure the stress and anxiety level with the respect of age, job, and residence.

Abstract

Project-based learning (PjBL) is a recommended learning model for the Independent Curriculum. PjBL prioritizes student activities aimed at generating products through the use of skills such as investigation, analysis, creation, and presentation. These products are based on real-life experiences.  In order to enhance kids' excitement for literacy, it is imperative to make PjBL books captivating and groundbreaking. Developing digital-based learning tools, such as flipbooks, is of utmost importance. The research employs the ADDIE methodology, which encompasses analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The analyzed data include both quantitative and qualitative data. The flipbook based on PjBL to support Independent Curriculum in primary schools was deemed very valid, with a validity value of 93% as assessed by material experts, 95% by media experts, and 93% by teachers, all falling inside the extremely valid category. The individual test, small group test, and field test results demonstrate a high level of validity for the flipbook, with respective percentages of 87%, 95%, and 90%. According on the findings of this assessment, it may be inferred that the product possesses high validity, practicality, and effectiveness. It is appropriate for facilitating Project-based learning (PjBL) and Independent Curriculum in primary school.
