Abstract

Education continues to develop from time to time, educational organization management has an important role in directing, managing and improving the quality of learning in various educational institutions. The effectiveness of educational management plays a role in optimizing the use of human resources, directing goals, and overcoming challenges that arise in the world of education. This research aims to improve the quality of learning, as well as the challenges and obstacles in implementing effective strategies. This research uses library research methods. The results of this research show that an effective strategy in education management is to improve the quality of learning by developing integrated learning plans, evaluating the learning process, developing the quality of educators, and developing an inclusive learning environment. Challenges and obstacles in implementing effective strategies result from a lack of adequate resources and infrastructure.

Abstract

Dunia pendidikan, Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) merupakan pendidikan dimana ketakutan emosional tidak dapat dikendalikan dengan baik. Siswa terkadang merasa cemas karena takut untuk berbicara di depan umum atau di depan kelas dan tidak mampu menghadapi masalah atau masalah yang muncul secara pribadi di sekolah. Kecemasan merupakan salah satu gangguan emosional yang paling umum, ditandai dengan perubahan fisik seperti rasa takut, panik, mimpi buruk dan sebagainya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan REBT teknik yang bertujuan untuk men-dispute pemikiran negatif/irasional menjadi rasional. Pendekatan REBT memiliki tujuan untuk mengubah pandangan dan keyakinan irasional menjadi rasional, membantu mengubah sikap, cara berpikir dan persepsi. Teori ini dikembangkan berdasarkan hasil pengamatannya bahwa banyak anak yang tidak mencapai kemajuan karena dia tidak memiliki pemahaman yang tepat dalam hubungannya dengan peristiwa-peristiwa yang dialami. oleh karena itu konseling diharapkan mampu mengembangkan dan mencapai realisasi diri secara optimal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Salah satu yang dapat meningatkan keefektifan ialah layanan konseling Rasional Emotive Behavior Therapy menggunakan Peran guru bimbingan konseling di sekolah baik itu SMP/MTA sangat di butuhkan untuk membantu menyelesaikan masalah yang dialami oleh siswa menggunakan pendekatan REBT memisahkan antara pemikiran negatifnya/ irasionalnya menjadi rasional.

Abstract

The increasing incidence of student brawls in various regions of Indonesia often becomes headline news in various media, both print and social media. However, in reality, not all students have knowledge about the dangers of brawling. The reality in schools shows that nearly 50% of students are still unaware of the dangers of such behavior. The purpose of this study is to explore in depth how the OARS technique, when applied in group counseling services, can significantly enhance students’ knowledge about brawl prevention. This research is categorized as quantitative and employs a pre-experimental method using a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The subjects of the study were 32 students from class XI-8 of SMA Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar. The data analysis technique used was a non-parametric statistical test with the Wilcoxon test. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test, an Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.005 was obtained, indicating a statistically significant result since the value is < 0.05. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. From these results, it can be concluded that group counseling services using the OARS technique are effective in preventing student brawling behavior among students at SMA Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar.
