Abstract

Education continues to develop from time to time, educational organization management has an important role in directing, managing and improving the quality of learning in various educational institutions. The effectiveness of educational management plays a role in optimizing the use of human resources, directing goals, and overcoming challenges that arise in the world of education. This research aims to improve the quality of learning, as well as the challenges and obstacles in implementing effective strategies. This research uses library research methods. The results of this research show that an effective strategy in education management is to improve the quality of learning by developing integrated learning plans, evaluating the learning process, developing the quality of educators, and developing an inclusive learning environment. Challenges and obstacles in implementing effective strategies result from a lack of adequate resources and infrastructure.

Abstract

Dunia pendidikan, Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) merupakan pendidikan dimana ketakutan emosional tidak dapat dikendalikan dengan baik. Siswa terkadang merasa cemas karena takut untuk berbicara di depan umum atau di depan kelas dan tidak mampu menghadapi masalah atau masalah yang muncul secara pribadi di sekolah. Kecemasan merupakan salah satu gangguan emosional yang paling umum, ditandai dengan perubahan fisik seperti rasa takut, panik, mimpi buruk dan sebagainya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan REBT teknik yang bertujuan untuk men-dispute pemikiran negatif/irasional menjadi rasional. Pendekatan REBT memiliki tujuan untuk mengubah pandangan dan keyakinan irasional menjadi rasional, membantu mengubah sikap, cara berpikir dan persepsi. Teori ini dikembangkan berdasarkan hasil pengamatannya bahwa banyak anak yang tidak mencapai kemajuan karena dia tidak memiliki pemahaman yang tepat dalam hubungannya dengan peristiwa-peristiwa yang dialami. oleh karena itu konseling diharapkan mampu mengembangkan dan mencapai realisasi diri secara optimal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Salah satu yang dapat meningatkan keefektifan ialah layanan konseling Rasional Emotive Behavior Therapy menggunakan Peran guru bimbingan konseling di sekolah baik itu SMP/MTA sangat di butuhkan untuk membantu menyelesaikan masalah yang dialami oleh siswa menggunakan pendekatan REBT memisahkan antara pemikiran negatifnya/ irasionalnya menjadi rasional.

Abstract

The proliferation of hoaxes among adolescents has emerged as a critical challenge in the digital era, driven by the high intensity of social media use and limited digital literacy skills. This study examines the effectiveness of group guidance using the ABCDE technique—derived from Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT)—in reducing hoax-spreading behaviour among junior high school students. A pretest–posttest one-group design involved a purposive sample of eight eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Panyabungan. Data were collected using a validated hoax behaviour questionnaire and analysed through descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. Pretest results showed that all participants were categorised as having “high” or “very high” hoax behaviour. After four structured group guidance sessions using the ABCDE model (Activating Event, Belief, Consequence, Disputation, Effect), all students showed a significant behavioural shift to the “low” category. Statistical results confirmed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (Z = -2.527, p = 0.012). These findings indicate that the ABCDE technique effectively restructures students’ irrational beliefs and emotional responses, promoting critical thinking, responsible digital behaviour, and ethical media engagement. The study underscores the relevance of incorporating structured psychological interventions such as the ABCDE technique into school counselling programs to foster digital character and strengthen media literacy among adolescents.
