Vocabulary is one of the important components to master all of language skills. It has strategic positions in education and teaching. Fly Swatter game is an interesting technique in teaching and learning that makes the students can learn through playing. Therefore, this study aims to find out whether the game of Fly swatter can significantly enhance the student’s vocabulary mastery or not. It focuses only on mastering adjective and noun class. The sample of this research was the students of Paguyaman Junior high school at VII B class. Further, this study is using quantitative analysis, in investigating the student’s improvement in mastering vocabulary, the researcher give test to the students which consist of 40 numbers, which divided into 20 tests each for noun and adjective. To analyze the student’s improvement, the researcher use pre experimental design, there are three steps used that are pre test, treatment, and post test. The finding reveals that there is significance improvement on the result of pre test and post test. It was from 40% which categorized in poor level increase into 95% which categorize in excellent level, with the total increases was around 55% . Furthermore, it was proved by the result of hypothesis verification, it is found that T count = 19, 44 at the level of significance (a = 0, 05) and degree of freedom (df ) = 19-1=18. Then, it is found that T table = 2,101, it can be concluded that fly swatter game can increase students ability in vocabulary, because based on the criteria above shows that T count is more than T table 19, 44 ≥ 2,101.

The objective of this research is to obtain the empirical data about the correlation between vocabulary achievement of Computer Engineering Network (TKJ) students and their learning habit using computer at SMKN 1 Pulubala. This research use correlation method and quantitative descriptive design to measure the correlation. This research was conducted to 67 Computer Engineering Network (TKJ) students at SMKN 1 Pulubala. After doing the research, the researcher concluded that there is a correlation between vocabulary achievement of Computer Engineering Network (TKJ) students and their learning habit using computer. It can be seen through the result of the correlation calculate using SPSS Computer for Windows show a value of 0.507. Based on the interpretation of the correlation result, it can be concluded that correlation between vocabulary achievement of Computer Engineering Network (TKJ) students and their learning habit using computer has medium correlation. The researcher has also measured the influence of correlation between vocabulary achievement of Computer Engineering Network (TKJ) students and their learning habit using computer found 91.04% in the frequency of learning habit and 80.59% in verb. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk membantu siswa SD mengatasi kesulitan dalam menulis bentuk huruf dari angka dalam bahasa Inggris menggunakan media visual berupa Number Tracing Worksheet. Melalui penggunaan media visual ini, diharapkan terdapat beberapa perubahan atau pembaharuan, yaitu meningkatkan minat siswa dalam belajar English numeral, meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap English numeral, meningkatkan keterampilan motorik halus siswa, dan meningkatkan kreativitas siswa. Dengan demikian, diharapkan pengajaran English numeral pada siswa SD dapat memberikan manfaat yang lebih besar bagi siswa dalam mempelajari bahasa Inggris.

Melalui penggunaan media visual ini, diharapkan terdapat beberapa perubahan atau pembaharuan, yaitu meningkatkan minat siswa dalam belajar English numeral, meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap English numeral, meningkatkan keterampilan motorik halus siswa, dan meningkatkan kreativitas siswa. This community service aims to improve the English vocabulary mastery of elementary school students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah (MIM) in Gorontalo City through the use of pictorial dictionaries. The implementation method consists of several stages, including needs analysis, pictorial dictionary compilation, implementation in learning, and evaluation. The results of this service show a significant increase in students' vocabulary mastery after using the pictorial dictionary. Observations and interviews with teachers also show an increase in students' motivation and enthusiasm in learning. This success is due to the use of images that help students understand vocabulary in a meaningful context and active student involvement in learning. The impact of this service is not only limited to increasing vocabulary mastery but also in developing innovative learning media. The compiled pictorial dictionary can become a reference for other schools, and the methods used can inspire improving the quality of English language education and other fields.

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Inggris siswa Sekolah Dasar Laboratorium Universitas Negeri Gorontalo melalui metode pengajaran yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Dalam kegiatan ini, berbagai teknik digunakan termasuk permainan edukatif, alat bantu visual, dan metode STAD serta gamifikasi, yang terbukti efektif dalam memotivasi siswa dan membuat proses belajar lebih menarik. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan siswa mengenali, mengingat, dan menggunakan kosakata baru. Selain itu, siswa menjadi lebih percaya diri dalam berpartisipasi dan menggunakan Bahasa Inggris dalam komunikasi sehari-hari. Dampak positif dari pendekatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengajaran yang kreatif dan interaktif tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan bahasa, tetapi juga membangun motivasi dan antusiasme belajar siswa, sehingga model pengajaran ini layak diterapkan lebih luas di berbagai sekolah dasar di Indonesia.

There were some problems faced by teacher during the process of teaching reading skill. These problems were hard to be figured out by the teacher in SMP Negeri 8 Dulupi. Thus this research was conducted to find the empirical data which observed in detail related to these problems. Moreover, the dominant explanation of this research took an aim to find out the teachers’ problems in teaching reading there were deciding the appropriate method, students’ less motivation and interest, students’ lack of vocabulary, limited facilities in teaching, overcrowded class and not enough material sources. This research took the method of qualitative research through observation and interview as the technique of collecting the data and took teacher of SMPN 8 Dulupi as the participant of research. The researcher had examined the aim of this research and it was found that the biggest problems faced by the teacher were deciding the appropriate method, students’ less motivation and interest, students’ lack of vocabulary, limited facilities in teaching, and not enough material sources while the overcrowded class was not affecting the teaching reading process since the amount of students in the class was well-handled.

This research aimed to find out the student's perception of learning English during the pandemic covid 19. This research used a qualitative descriptive method. In order to answer the research question, the researcher collected the data from 13 open-ended statements interviewed by students at SMP Negeri 2 Satap Dungaliyo. The researcher used data reduction, data display, and conclusion to analyze the data. And the result of this research is that English in the pandemic covid 19 has various student answers. There are advantages and also disadvantages to the implementation of online classes in the pandemic era. It depends on the students themselves; each of them has their own perception regarding learning English during the pandemic covid 19, and also their own experienced they faced in their environment. These statements were gained by the result of the research conducted in SMP Negeri 2 Satap Dungaliyo.The coronavirus outbreak that has hit this country poses a challenge for the community and educational institutions, so to anticipate the spread of the virus, the Ministry of Education has set the learning system to be carried out with an online system.

The objective of this research is to find out the students' vocabulary mastery before and after being taught using Indonesian subtitle movies. This research used a quantitative method. Experimental research was applied in this study. The researcher used pre-experimental research to obtain the data. The samples of this research are class C of the English department, class of 2021, consisting of 20 students. The data is obtained by using pre-test, post-test, and treatment. Students are asked to watch the movie in 8 meetings, including pre-test and post-test. To analyze the data, the researcher used a validity test, reliability, paired T-test, and hypothesis verification. The result of this research shows that there are differences between the pre-test and post-test, which means that there was an influence of the use of movies with subtitles on students' vocabulary mastery. In the pre-test, students achieved a score of 65%, while in the post-test, 94%.
