Abstract

The importance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for the Indonesian economy has become an important concern. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, SMEs in Indonesia has experienced an increase and has become the most stable sector while other businesses, including large companies, have been affected by COVID-19. However, as SMEs increases, competition also increases. To help SMEs compete in the market, innovation such as building branding is needed. However, many MSMEs have not mastered the application of branding in their business. To this end, product branding training is organized for SMEs trained by Suku Dinas PPKUKM Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur. This training is an implementation of cooperation between the S1 Management Study Program Faculty of Economics Universitas Negeri Jakarta and Suku Dinas PPKUKM Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur. The training is conducted online using the Zoom platform. The implementation of the activity begins with the preparation stage, the implementation stage, activity evaluation, reporting and publication of activity outcomes. As a result, SMEs understand the importance of branding for their business. In addition, SMEs are also able to determine the branding strategy that they will implement in their business. Abstrak Tingginya peranan UMKM untuk perekonomian Indonesia menjadi perhatian penting. Terlebih pada saat pandemi COVID-19, UMKM di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan dan menjadi bidang yang paling stabil disaat usaha sektor lain termasuk perusahaan besar goyah akibat adanya COVID-19. Namun, dengan meningkatnya UMKM tentu persaingan ikut meningkat. Untuk membantu UMKM bersaing di pasarnya, diperlukan inovasi seperti membangun branding. Namun, banyak pelaku UMKM yang belum menguasai penerapan branding dalam usaha mereka. Untuk itu, diselenggarakan pelatihan mengenai product branding bagi UMKM yang dibina oleh Suku Dinas PPKUKM Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur. Pelatihan ini merupakan implementasi kerja sama antara Program Studi S1 Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Jakarta dengan Suku Dinas PPKUKM Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur. Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara daring menggunakan platform Zoom. Pelaksanaan kegiatan diawali dengan tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, evaluasi kegiatan, pelaporan dan publikasi luaran kegiatan. Hasilnya, pelaku UMKM memahami pentingnya branding untuk usaha mereka. Selain itu, pelaku UMKM juga mampu untuk menentukan strategi branding yang akan mereka terapkan dalam usahanya.

Abstract

This community service is aimed to teach students about the important role of financial literacy in shaping students' understanding of personal financial aspects. The participants of this activity is students of the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. To teach financial literacy to students, the research team invited a lecturer speaker and a speaker from Finansialku as a digital financial application to give knowledge about about financial planning, investment, and debt management. The outcome of this event is the findings that provide insight into the effectiveness of financial literacy training and its potential impact on students' financial lives. Abstrak Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengajarkan kepada mahasiswa tentang peran penting literasi keuangan dalam membentuk pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap aspek keuangan pribadi. Peserta kegiatan ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Untuk mengajarkan literasi keuangan kepada mahasiswa, tim peneliti mengundang pembicara dosen dan pembicara dari Finansialku sebagai aplikasi keuangan digital untuk memberikan pengetahuan mengenai perencanaan keuangan, investasi, dan pengelolaan utang. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah temuan yang memberikan wawasan tentang efektivitas pelatihan literasi keuangan dan potensi dampaknya terhadap kehidupan keuangan mahasiswa.

Abstract

Without good financial planning, it will not be easy to achieve all of one's financial goals in the future. The purpose of this community service is to teach students how to manage finances so that they can understand personal financial planning and be wise in managing their finances. This activity is aimed at students of the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Accountancy Universiti Malaysia Sabah and students of the Faculty of Economics and Management Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Knowledge of financial planning will be taught by a lecturer and a speaker from Finansialku as a digital financial application to introduce how to use the application for financial planning. The result of this event is that students need to have sufficient and good financial literacy in order to be able to prepare their financial condition for the future.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study purposes to examine the effect of CEO characteristics on the performance of financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used a sample of 72 financial sector companies listed on the IDX. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling method. Meanwhile, the analytical method used is panel data regression analysis. In this study, there were other samples that served as a comparison, namely during the pre-pandemic period. In this study it was found that CEO power had a positive and significant effect on company performance during the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, before the pandemic it was found that CEO power had no effect on company performance. Then, CEO education had a significant positive effect on company performance before the pandemic but had no effect during the pandemic. CEO narcissism and CEO tenure had no effect on company performance both before the pandemic and during the COVID-19 pandemic. ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh karakteristik CEO terhadap kinerja perusahaan sektor keuangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Pada penelitian ini digunakan sampel sebanyak 72 perusahaan sektor keuangan keuangan yang terdaftar di BEI. Sampel penelitian dipilih dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Sedangkan, untuk metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi data panel. Pada penelitian ini terdapat sampel lain yang berfungsi sebagai pembanding yaitu pada masa sebelum pandemi. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa CEO power berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Sedangkan, pada sebelum pandemi ditemukan bahwa CEO power tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Kemudian, CEO education berpengaruh positif signfikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan pada sebelum pandemi namun tidak berpengaruh pada masa pandemi. CEO narcissism dan CEO tenure tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja perusahaan baik pada sebelum pandemi maupun selama pandemi COVID-19.
