Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Montessori curriculum in Early Childhood Education (ECE) to support the development of Generation Alpha, who live in the digital era. Using a literature review method, the research explores the application of the Montessori curriculum, its diffusion as an innovation, and the factors influencing its success. Based on Everett M. Rogers’ diffusion of innovation theory, key elements such as innovation, communication channels, time, and social systems are examined within the context of the Montessori curriculum. The findings reveal that the successful implementation of this curriculum heavily depends on the synergy within the social system, involving the community, stakeholders, and the government. Collaboration among teachers, parents, and the community enhances support for the Montessori approach, while funding and professional training provided by the government improve teaching effectiveness. Although the Montessori curriculum fosters independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills in young children, the primary challenge lies in public understanding and support for children’s freedom in learning. This study underscores the importance of continuous communication and collaboration to accelerate the diffusion of innovation and ensure the successful implementation of Montessori in ECE.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the cooperation of parents and teachers in the form of parenting, communicating, and learning at home for preventing early childhood bullying behavior at the Al Adabiy Kindergarten in Pontianak City. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method with the technique of distributing close ended questions to 105 parents of students and interviews with teachers. The analytical technique used is descriptive analysis, that is data analysis in research conducted by describing the data that has been collected through the presentation of statistical data. The results of the general calculation that all parents and teachers for preventing early childhood bullying behavior have a very good success rate category with a percentage calculation 77.85%. Cooperation in the form of parenting between parents and teachers for preventing early childhood bullying behavior with a calculation of percent to 74.05% which is classified as a success rate in the good category. Cooperation in the form of communicating between parents and teachers for preventing early childhood bullying behavior with a calculation of 79.89% percent belonging to the category of very good success rate, while cooperation in the form of learning at home between parents and teachers for preventing early childhood bullying with a percentage calculation to 78.20% which is classified as a very good success rate category.

Abstract

Generasi Z saat ini menunjukkan pengaruh yang kuat dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Mereka dikenal memiliki pandangan yang luas, integritas tinggi, serta ketekunan yang besar. Generasi ini juga menghargai stabilitas finansial, hubungan yang baik, pekerjaan yang memberikan tujuan, dan kebahagiaan. Dengan keterampilan teknologi yang mumpuni, mereka mampu mengakses isu-isu global, menghadapi berbagai tantangan, dan menemukan solusi dengan efektif. Salah satu elemen penting dalam kehidupan Generasi Z adalah self-love, yang memainkan peran besar dalam meningkatkan rasa percaya diri dan kemampuan mereka untuk menghadapi tantangan di masa kini maupun mendatang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif inferensial dengan menganalisis data sampel untuk menarik kesimpulan mengenai populasi. Data diolah menggunakan IBM SPSS Statistics 27. Di Kota Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat, Generasi Z mencakup 25,24% dari populasi. Sehingga, dari kelompok tersebut menunjukkan, 15,35% memiliki tingkat self-love yang rendah, 68,56% memiliki self-love sedang, dan 16,09% memiliki self-love yang tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil uji t, ditemukan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan dalam tingkat self-love antara generasi Z laki-laki dan perempuan. Selain itu, hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan dalam tingkat self-love di antara kelompok pelajar, mahasiswa, dan pekerja. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun generasi Z memiliki banyak potensi, tingkat self-love mereka bervariasi berdasarkan faktor demografis dan peran sosial mereka.
