Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze Lifebuoy shampoo advertisements using van Dijk's critical discourse analysis model with the main focus being on microstructure. The approach applied in this study is the critical discourse analysis of van Dijk's model. Data collection techniques use free listening, transcription techniques, and screenshot techniques. The data analysis techniques used are certain element sorting techniques or called PUP and BUL techniques or called Direct Element Sharing. The results of the study include an in-depth understanding of microstructure that discusses syntax, semantics, stilistics, and rhetoric in Lifebuoy shampoo advertisements. Through this discourse analysis, you can find out in depth about the discussion in Lifebuoy shampoo advertisements.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh munculnya serial drama komedi pada layanan Subscription Video On Demand. Salah satunya adalah serial drama Imperfect the Series rilis pada 2021 yang menampilkan banyak tuturan-tuturan yang menyimpang dari maksim pujian seperti mengejek, menghina, atau mengkritik tokoh lain yang tujuannya untuk menghibur penonton. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai seberapa dominan penyimpangan maksim pujian, bentuk tuturan yang menyimpang dari maksim pujian, dan faktor penyebab terjadinya penyimpangan maksim pujian. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori kesantunan berbahasa Leech (1993) dan penyebab ketidaksantunana Pranowo (2009). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif, metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak dan metode analisis data menggunakan metode pada referensial dan pada pragamtis. Hasil penelitiaan dari 78 data penyimpangan maksim kesantunan berbahasa, penyimpangan maksim pujian adalah penyimpangan yang paling dominan dengan jumlah 21 data tuturan atau 29,92% dengan rincian 9 penyimpangan maksim pujian pada tindak tutur ekspresif dan 12 penyimpangan maksim pujian pada tindak tutur asertifg. Faktor yang memengaruhi penyimpangan maksim pujian tersebut terjadi adalah, kritikan secara langsung, dorongan rasa emosi, dan sengaja memojokkan petutur. Selain itu, faktor lain yang menyebabkan penyimpangan maksim pujian terjadi

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe violations of the maxim of cooperation in the A+ series and the reasons for these violations. The theory used is Grice's principle of cooperation. This research is a qualitative research. The data source for this research is dialogue from six episodes of Series A+ broadcast on the Prime Video application. The data collection method used in this research is the listening method, and the basic technique is the tapping technique, complemented by advanced techniques such as the free, skillful listening technique, the recording technique, and the note-taking technique. After the data has been collected as a whole, the data is categorized, described and analyzed according to the research questions. The research results include violations of the maxim of cooperation principles and the reasons for these violations.

Abstract

Local languages represent a vital pillar of cultural identity, yet they currently face serious challenges due to globalization, urbanization, and the dominance of national and foreign languages. This study aims to analyze strategies for revitalizing local languages in the digital era as an effort to preserve their existence and strengthen Indonesia’s cultural identity. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through literature review, digital content analysis, and examination of revitalization practices conducted by communities, educational institutions, and government agencies. The findings indicate that digital technology, particularly social media, language learning applications, and creative platforms, offers significant opportunities for sustaining local languages. Revitalization efforts, however, require not only technological innovation but also multi-stakeholder collaboration among policymakers, academics, and communities. The study concludes that local languages hold great potential to thrive within digital spaces, thereby reinforcing cultural identity among younger generations amidst global cultural homogenization.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is entitled "Affixation to the lyrics of Feby Putri's song in the album Riuh: Morphological Study". This research aims to describe (a) the types of affixations in the lyrics of Feby Putri's song in the album Riuh, and (b) the morphophonemic and morphosyntactic structure of the affixes in the lyrics of Feby Putri's song in the album Riuh. This type of research is qualitative research with the data source in the form of song lyrics. The data collection methods and techniques used in this research are the observation method with note-taking techniques, the data analysis methods and techniques used are the agih method with basic techniques in the form of techniques for direct elements, as well as the methods and techniques for presenting the results of data analysis in the form of formal, informal methods with techniques. descriptive. The results of this research include the types of affixations, morphophonemic and morphosyntactic structure of the affixes found in the lyrics of the song Feby Putri in the album Riuh, which are as follows. The types of affixation found amounted to 100 data with the following details. Prefixation amounted to 73 data, suffixation amounted to 9 data, confixation amounted to 3 data, and joining affixation amounted to 17 data. In this data, no infixation was found. The morphophonemic and morphosyntactic structures found are as follows. Morphophonemics were found based on changes, additions and deletions of phonemes (ng) totaling 23 data. Morphosyntax was found based on the form and type of word, 50 data of word form and 100 data of word type.
