Fonem-fonem tersebut adalah: 6 vokal: /ʌ/, /I/, /ʊ/, /ɛ/, /∂/, and /ɔ/; 7 diftong: /ʌʊ/, /Iʌ/, /Iʊ/, /ʌɔ/, /ʌ∂/, /ʊʌ/, and /ʌɛ/; 19 konsonan: /b/, /c/, /d/, /g/, /h/, /ʔ/, /j/, /k/, /l/, /m/, /n/, /p/, /r/, /s/, /t/, /w/, /y/, /ñ/, and /ŋ/; dan 12 kluster: /mb/, /nd/, /sg/, /ŋg/, /jl/, /nj/, /ŋk/, /kr/, /mp/, /ms/, /nt/, and /rn/. Kata Kunci : fitur linguistik, fitur fonologis, fitur leksikal, dialek The study aimed at finding out the linguistic features that unite and differentiate Denbantas Dialect (DD) and Banyuasri Dialect (BD) in terms of phonological and lexical features. Abstract

Abstract

This research investigated intransitive verb markers in Balinese. The objectives of the research were: 1) to identify various markers of intransitive verb construction, and 2) to identify the syntactic behaviours of the markers in marking the intransitive verb. The research was conducted in three stages: data collection, data analysis, and data display. The data were collected by applying interview method. The data were obtained from Balinese speakers, Balinese literature, as well as the researcher as a native speaker of Balinese. The data were analyzed by using the distributional method. The display of the results were done formally and informally. The results show that there are four intransitive verb markers consist of ma-, N- (ny-, ng-, and m-), ma-an, and ma-in markers. The occurrence of intransitive verb markers as in ma- and N- are located on the left of the verb while marker ma-an and ma-in are located on the left and right of the verb. The four markers categorize as bound morpheme and placed as a central marker. The marking direction of the entire markers is considered as markers of a central element that mark the verb itself in order to form intransitive verb construction.

Abstract

The previous study already conducted a similar study in several fields, except education, thus, this study was conducted to complete it. This study aimed at investigating discourse patterns of research article abstracts in the education discipline. The data were a set of research article abstracts of five sub-disciplines in education, i.e., language education, mathematics and natural science education, social education, technological education, and elementary education. The data were collected from journals of education study. This research was conducted by implementing a four-move abstract structure. The results found that Moves 1 (research space), 2 (research procedure), and 3 (result summary) were obligatory, while Move 4 (result evaluation) was considered an optional move. The most common pattern discovered was 1-2-3. The pattern of 1-2-3-4 is another common pattern obtained, except for social education. These results provide the discourse patterns of educational research article abstracts and are regarded as new findings in the previous and related studies.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the nationalism values in “Tanah Surga...Katanya” film. It is a qualitative descriptive study based on audiovisual of film. The results indicate that, in the border, the value of Indonesian nationalism is faded, such as lack of recognition of the Indonesia Rupiah, low appreciation on the national anthem, and looking down on the potential of the region. That condition is due to the government’s lack of attention to education, health, transportation, communication, and economic facilities. But, on the other hand, the spirit of nationalism and nationality emerged, as well as sacrifice to defend the country.

Abstract

The use of ICT in teaching develops more important in present times because teachers also have to be able to keep up with the technological knowledge of their students. This study aims to analyze the pre-service teachers’ use of ICT in their classrooms during the practice teaching experience. This study employed both quantitative and qualitative data collection tools. The data were obtained from 86 pre-service teachers at senior high school and Junior High School. The data were collected qualitatively through observation and semi-structured interviews and quantitatively using a questionnaire. The qualitative results were mapped in tabular form. The researchers analyzed qualitatively to explain why pre-service teachers do not use ICT tools. The data were also made in tabular form and were described. The results showed that the practicum schools were not very rich in the technological devices offered to the pre-service teachers for their EFL classes. The pre-service teachers were not helped by ICT available to them in their teaching practice at a not satisfying level. Insufficient training, lack of basic facilities in the practicum schools, and pre-service teachers’ selections were the main reasons for teachers to utilize ICT in teaching practice. The study’s findings discovered a mismatch between teacher training programs and real-world classrooms in ICT integration in EFL instruction. Pedagogical inferences of the study consist of the need for better integration of ICT in EFL teacher training and a more vital link between the schools and the university.
