Abstract

Sangat lama pendidikan budi pekerti yang lahir dari bumi pertiwi terlindas pendidikan global yang menaruh harapan besar pada nilai-nilai Barat yang cenderung material dan amat hedonis. Pembangunan hanya mengejar nilai ekonomis, kurang memperhatikan pembangunan mental spiritual yang tumbuh dari peradaban sendiri sehingga mengakibatkan generasi penerus bangsa menjadi generasi “kolokan”, tidak tahu tata etiket bangsanya. Arti dari kegetiran itu adalah kita sejak lama membutuhkan santapan rohani yang membumi, agar anak bangsa ini tidak tercerabut dari akar tradisi luhurnya. Oleh karena itu, pada kesempatan ini penulis menyajikan nilai-nilai moralitas bangsa yang tertuang dalam karya-karya klasik, khususnya karya Geguritan Sarasamuscaya. Pengungkapan nilai-nilai ajaran yang dikandung kiranya dapat dipakai ancangan untuk mengisi pendidikan budi pekerti yang dilupakan dalam kurikulum sekolah di Indonesia. Namun, belakangan ini semakin santer terdengar manfaatnya untuk diajarkan dari tingkat pendidikan paling dasar hingga ke pendidikan perguruan tinggi. Dalam rangka merancang nilai moralitas dari teks Geguritan Sarasamuscaya menjadi bahan  jadi yang dapat dipedomani, penulisan ini dibantu dengan pendekatan yang bersifat pascastruktural yang kritis. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori resepsi Jauss, teori semiotika Pierce, dan teori mitologi dari Barthes. Nilai-nilai moralitas teks Geguritan Sarasamuscaya sangat baik dipakai pedoman  untuk pengajaran budi pekerti. Dengan demikian, moralitas bangsa yang kita cintai ini tidak jatuh pada titik nadir.Abstract:It has been a decade that character building education taken from national cultural h er it ag e  s qu as hed  b y gl ob al  edu ca t io n.  T he g lo ba l edu ca ti on  h as  cou n ted   grea tl y  o n western values    tending to be  the material and very hedonistic. Development only pursues on  economic value and less attention to  development of mental spiritual  that has grown from his own civilization. As the result it has created  ”spoiled” generation , not knowing  the character of their own nation. The meaning of bad condition  is that we have been searching for finding our spiritual teaching. Hence, child ren of this na tion are not up rooted f rom tra dition i nherited by ou r ancest ors. Therefore, on this occasion the writer presents the nation’s moral values   contained in the classical works, particularly works of Geguritan Sarasamuscaya. Disclosure of moral values    contained in it  can  be applied  as a subject of national character building of  the school’s curriculum in Indonesia. However, it has been a big issue about the advantage of teaching nation character building started  from the most basic level of education up to university. In order to design moral value of the text Geguritan Sarasamuscaya into materials that can be applied in education,  the writer applies the critical pascastructural  approach . The supporting theory used is Jaus’s reception theory, semiotics Pierce theory, and mythology theory  of Barthes Moral values of  text Geguritan Sarasamuscaya   is  very  essential  to  be  applied  as    guidelines for  manner teaching . Thus, the morality of our beloved nation is not falling so badly.

Abstract

Kalangwan is state of Beauty and cause melting of the distance between the seeker and the sought after. The melting distance causes the soul to drift into the sublime beauty. Distance not only as the conception of space and time, but also the consciousness that separate subject and object. Melting distance means the dissapearance of space, time, and consciousness. Such a condition become a goal by Kawi.Bhramara Sangu Pati more like a monologue that contains the expressions of love for the godness. Love expressions of hope, disappointment, sadness, beauty, especially the longing. Such expressions are axpressed in a soft metamorphosis. Literary is a kind of literature that is still in vague areas especially for researchers.Kalangwan in this text does not stop only on the aesthetic, but also the miystical. Aesthetic because it is a literary work of a hymn that has its own prosody. Mystical because in it there are teachings, especially the teachings that can be used as death. Kalangwan in this study is the level that must  be followed by those who want to achieve death. Kalangwan is not abolished, but skipped. Its like climbing a ladder, to get to the tenth step, it must be through the first, second, third and so on.

Abstract

Bali has an abundant cultural heritage, one of which is a literary culture of ancient manuscripts, written on media taken from nature, preserved, shaped, to a script. The purpose of this research is to understand the utilization of natural resources as media literacy in Bali. The data of this research were collected through direct observation, interview, and literature study. The result of this research is the utilization of biotic resources such as palm leaves, intaran tree bark, yam gadung, spices of isin rong wayah, coconut base bark, aubergine leaf, and candlenut. In addition to the utilization of biotic resources are also utilized abiotic resources such as clean water, sunlight, salt, wind and soot. Based on the results of the analysis it can be seen that the media literacy in Bali is very dependent on nature, because this function will affect the environmental sustainability, and grow a sense of appreciation, then trying to create harmony to nature. Bali memiliki warisan budaya yang melimpah, salah satunya adalah budaya literasi berupa naskah kuno, ditulis pada media dari alam, diawetkan, dibentuk, hingga menjadi naskah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan sumber daya alam daun lontar dan prosesnya sebagai bahan pembuatan media literasi serta proses penulisan literasi di Bali. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian berupa pemanfaatan sumber daya biotik; daun lontar, kulit pohon intaran, ubi gadung, rempah-rempah yakni isin rong wayah, kulit pangkal pohon kelapa, daun terong, dan kemiri. Selain pemanfaatan sumber daya biotik juga dimanfaatkan sumber daya abiotik; air bersih, sinar matahari, garam, angin dan jelaga. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media literasi di Bali sangat bergantung kepada alam, karena fungsi ini berdampak kepada kelestarian lingkungan, dan tumbuh rasa menghargai untuk menciptakan keharmonisan terhadap alam. Kata kunci: sumber daya alam, media literasi, bali.

Abstract

This study analyzes the tribute discourse in Kakawin Raja Patni Mokta. The composition of this kakawin is dominated by the theme of tribute for first lady, Tien Soeharto. The focus of this research are to reveal the form of puja bhakti (tribute), its function, and its meaning in Kakawin Raja Patni Mokta. Semiotic theory from Pierce is used to intreprete the text, while sociological theory of literature by Wellek and Werren is used to analyze the function of tribute discourse in Kakawin Raja Patni Mokta. Abstract

Gending Sang Hyang Jaran merupakan lagu yang mengiringi Tari Sang Hyang Jaran. Pemujaan di dalam Gending Sang Hyang Jaran menarik untuk diteliti, karena berkaitan dengan ritual penolak bala yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Banjar Bun. Tulisan ini menggunakan teori fungsi milik Bascom untuk mengungkapkan fungsi pemujaan dan teori semiotika Barthes untuk mengungkapkan makna pemujaan. Fungsi pemujaan dalam gending terdiri atas fungsi religi, fungsi estetika, fungsi pendidikan, fungsi sosial, dan fungsi penetralisasi. Makna diungkapkan melalui konotasi yang ada di dalam gending. Konotasi mengacu kepada makna harmoni, yang berkaitan dengan konsep Tri Hita Karana di dalam ajaran Agama Hindu.

Abstract

Semesta dan manusia memiliki hubungan yang saling berkaitan. Jika antara bhuwana agung dan bhuwana alit tidak seimbang, akan terjadi bencana alam dan kebobrokan mental manusia. Dalam teks Kakawin Hañang Nirartha dituliskan beberapa bait metrum yang menyuratkan keindahan alam sebagai refleksi dari bhuwana agung dan keelokan wanita sebagai refleksi dari bhuwana alit. Pujasmara merupakan sebuah wacana pemujaan yang dipersembahkan kepada Bhatara Smara dan Bhatari Ratih dalam manifestasinya sebagai dewa cinta. Cinta yang dimaksud di sini tidak hanya sekadar cinta terhadap lawan jenis, tetapi juga dapat mencintai diri sendiri dan menyadari keberadaan alam semesta sebagai tempat berinteraksi dengan makhluk hidup lainnya. Pada penelitian ini analisis difokuskan pada makna pujasmara yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna wacana pujasmara dalam Kakawin Hañang Nirartha. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori semiotika Roland Barthes mengenai makna pada tataran kedua. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah dengan melakukan persiapan, tugas lapangan, dan tahap analisis. Lokasi penelitian, yaitu di Pusat Kajian Lontar Universitas Udayana. Jenis data penelitian adalah data kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian, yaitu naskah berbentuk lontar yang berada di Pusat Kajian Lontar Universitas. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah kamus sebagai alat bantu menerjemahkan teks yang berbahasa Jawa Kuno ke bahasa sasaran. Metode dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi kepustakaan. Metode dan teknik analisis data menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik deskriptif analitik. Metode dan teknik penyajian hasil analisis data menggunakan metode formal dan informal. Hasil penelitian terhadap makna Pujasmara, yakni cinta kasih dan cara untuk mengendalikan pikiran, pernapasan (pranayama) menuju kesadaran tertinggi. Ketika sudah mampu menyadari siapa dirinya, berserah diri, dan mulai memusatkan pikiran pada satu tujuan (moksa) barulah manusia dapat menunggal dengan Hyang Pencipta.

Abstract

Ganapati Tattwa merupakan teks yang bersifat Siwaistik dengan tokoh utama Dewa Siwa dan Gana. Teks Ganapati Tattwa terdiri atas 60 bait sloka Sanskerta disertai dengan ulasan bahasa Kawi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fungsi dan makna yoga dalam Ganapati Tattwa. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori semiotik. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa yoga berguna untuk latihan pernapasan, pengendalian diri dan meditasi. Sebagai suatu cara untuk mendekatkan diri dengan Tuhan, maka yoga merupakan wujud konkret cinta kasih, jalan karma dan jalan untuk mencapai moksa

Abstract

Based on the language mapping conducted by The Language Development and Fostering Agency, there are around 560 regional languages in Indonesia. Of all these languages, only 11 regional languages have their own literacy system. One local language that has a literacy system is Balinese. Balinese script has a vital function in the effort of documenting and transmitting various systems of knowledge found by Balinese people from the past to the present. Besides having as documentation media, Balinese script is also functional in the three important stages of Balinese people's life. From the first stage (being born), the Balinese people used the script as a provision for the burial of the placenta. During adulthood, Balinese script is also used in a tooth- cutting rite. Similarly, when the Balinese people died, Balinese script was used as rajah-rajah kajang. There are contradictions that seem to be the gap between the functionalities of Balinese script and the reality of the low knowledge of Balinese people about Balinese script. It is an indisputable fact that Latin letters dominate various spheres of life. Realizing this, it needs the effort to make people realize the potential of Balinese script in the creative process of Balinese Script Calligraphy, which is important to be studied further. Balinese script that has a rounded shape (ngawindu) is very aesthetic to be developed into aesthetic forms of a variety. Not only that, from the searches carried out in some lontar storage sites in Bali, Balinese script calligraphy contains the use of interesting language and important literary values as a medium of educational media.

Abstract

This paper was written based on the results of qualitative research which aims to examine some of the functions of Markum's discourse in learning Islamic Sufism in the Sasak community of Lombok. This study uses Bragenski's theory with the focus of its study on text studies. The Sasak people of Lombok view that the Markum manuscript is a very acceptable discourse. This is because this manuscript has functions, including: 1). The function of Markum's discourse is to grow a sense of beauty, 2). Markum's function which positions Mursyid as an Important Figure, 3). Markum Functions that Form good Adab, especially when studying, and 4). Markum's function that makes Murshid a source of knowledge. With the facts above, it can be said that the Markum discourse has a very significant function in learning Sasak Islamic Sufism. In other words, Sufism learning through Markum's discourse can shape the character of a civilized society starting or commendable. This is what makes the Sasak people very synonymous with the character of Islam.
