Abstract

Background: There is a significant relationship between eating habits and the prevalence of hypertension in elderly citizens receiving care at community health centers. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine whether the prevalence of hypertension in the community of Benteng Village RT 004/07, Benteng Health Centre Working Area, correlates with physical activity. Method: This study employed a cross-sectional methodology and was quantitative in nature. The sampling technique used was comprehenThe study employed a GPAQ questionnaire, a stethoscope, written consent, research tools, stationery, and data analysis procedures using Spearman's rank. tudy. Twenty-four respondents became the research sample. Results: According to the results of the Spearman rank statistical test, the incidence of hypertension in the Benteng Village community significantly correlates with physical activity (p value = 0.000), and the correlation is unidirectional (relationship coefficient = -0.324). The degree of hypertension among respondents decreased with increased physical activity. Suggestion: Community health centres can provide weekly fitness instructions for the elderly in an effort to reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients through physical activity.

Abstract

Work stress is one of the main concerns for occupational safety and health for workers, both in the field of welfare and health. It has been estimated that about half of all workers absenteeism and work accidents at work are caused by disorders related to work-related stress. This study aims to determine the relationship between work stress and work accidents on workers in the oil palm harvesting section. This research is an analytic observational research which is directed to explain a situation or situation, using a cross sectional approach. The results of this study show that there is a positive relationship between work stress and the risk of work accidents. The results of statistical analysis using the Chi-Square test obtained a p-value of 0.005 when compared to the degree of significance (p-value <0.05). Suggestions for the company can be used as reference material for training K3 workers in the company to increase awareness of occupational health and safety in the company.

Abstract

Sometimes umbilical cord infections occur because young mothers are unaware of the need to provide umbilical cord care to their babies after giving birth. The umbilical cord, a type of connective tissue, holds the placenta and foetus together. The umbilical cord functions as a source of life for the foetus while it is in the womb. Umbilical cord care is a procedure for handling the umbilical cord in a sterile, clean, and dry manner to avoid infection. The aim of the research is to find out how health education on umbilical cord care influences the behaviour of postpartum mothers in the work environment at the Kaiely Community Health Centre, Buru Regency, in 2024. This research uses a pre-experimental research strategy. Total sampling was used as the sampling technique. We used the Wilcoxon test to analyze the data. The research findings showed a p-value of 0.001 when compared with the significance level (p-value <0.05), thus approving Ha. This shows that health education regarding correct umbilical cord management influences the behaviour of postpartum mothers in the operational area of the Kaiely Community Health Centre, Buru Regency. Based on the research conclusions, postpartum mothers fall into the poor knowledge category, negative attitude category, action not implemented, poor pre-test and post-test behaviour category, and action not taken. behaviour is classified as very good, and the behaviour of postpartum mothers at the Kaiely Community Health Centre, Buru Regency, is influenced by health education about umbilical cord care.
