Abstract

Corona virus or severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a virus that attacks the respiratory system. This viral infection is called Covid-19, which causes mild disorders of the respiratory system, severe lung infections and even death. This virus can attack anyone, both children, adults and the elderly. As of July 18, 2021, there were 190,794,652 cases of Covid-19 globally, while in Indonesia there were 2,877,476 positive cases. Various efforts have been made by the government to prevent the transmission of Covid-19, but some people do not comply with health protocols. The purpose of this study was to examine compliance with health protocols for students during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The sample of this study was 50 semester 5 students of STIKes Maluku Husada. The variable observed was student compliance in carrying out health protocols on campus. Data was collected through filling out questionnaires to reveal health protocol compliance in students. Data were analyzed descriptively in the form of frequency and percentage. The results showed that as many as 42 respondents obeyed in the use of masks, 34 respondents obediently washed their hands, 19 respondents obeyed to keep their distance and 16 respondents obeyed to stay away from the crowd. It was concluded that student compliance in health protocols was not maximized, so socialization was needed about the importance of health protocols to prevent the transmission of Covid-19.Keywords: compliance; health protocols; college student; Covid-19ABSTRAK Virus corona atau severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) merupakan virus yang menyerang sistem pernapasan. Infeksi virus ini disebut Covid-19, yang menyebabkan gangguan ringan pada sistem pernapasan, infeksi paru-paru yang berat hingga kematian. Virus ini bisa menyerang siapa saja, baik anak-anak, orang dewasa dan lansia. Kasus Covid-19 per 18 Juli 2021 secara global sebanyak 190.794.652 kasus, sementara itu di Indonesia tercatat 2.877.476 kasus positif. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan pemerintah untuk mencegah terjadinya penularan Covid-19, namun sebagian masyarakat tidak patuh terhadap protokol kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji kepatuhan menjalankan protokol kesehatan pada mahasiswa di masa pandemi Covid-19. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif diskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 50 mahasiswa semester 5 STIKes Maluku Husada. Variabel yang diamati yaitu kepatuhan mahasiswa dalam menjalankan protokol kesehatan di kampus. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengisian kuesioner untuk mengungkap kepatuhan protokol kesehatan pada mahasiswa. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif berupa frekuensi dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 42 responden patuh dalam penggunaan masker, 34 responden patuh mencuci tangan, 19 responden patuh menjaga jarak dan 16 responden patuh menjauhi kerumunan. Disimpulkan bahwa kepatuhan mahasiswa dalam protokol kesehatan belum maksimal, sehingga perlu sosialisasi tentang pentingnya protokol kesehatan untuk mencegah penularan Covid-19.Kata kunci: kepatuhan; protokol kesehatan; mahasiswa; Covid-19

Abstract

Pesticides are toxic chemicals that can interfere with health and the environment. Exposure to pesticides endangers human health because pesticide residues accumulate in agricultural products and the surrounding environment.Effects of pesticides on human health, especially children can affect the process of growth and development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the history of pesticide exposure in the presence of pesticide metabolites in the urine of children.Type of this study was observational analytic with cross sectional design. The independent variables were history of pesticide exposure and dependent variable, the presence of pesticide metabolite in child urine.Research subjects were elementary school students in Brebes region as many as 48 students, using total sampling in grade 4 students in 2 elementary schools of Bulakamba sub-district Data collection was done by interview, observation and urine metabolite examination.Chi square was used for data analysis. The results showed that there was a relationship between parent's job (p=0.023, OR = 3.053), children's involvement in agricultural activities (p=0,001, OR=4,400), student's habits of playing in agricultural area (p=0,002; OR=4,583). The presence of pesticides in the home environment (p=0.013; OR=3,536), drinking water source (p=0.008; OR=8,400) in the presence of pesticide metabolites in studentsThus, there is a relationship between the history of exposure to pesticides with the presence of pesticide metabolites in the urine of students.

Abstract

Intense use of toxic chemicals can have a bad effect on the environmental ecosystem and public health. Farmers as pesticide sprayers on agriculture have a risk of being exposed to pesticides. The problem of family economic needs makes farmers survive the health risks arising from these toxic materials. Long-term exposure to chemical pesticides can have a bad effect on human health, especially systemic diseases. Difficult economic pressures related to family income, family needs and family health cause farmers to surrender to health risks. This study aims to describe the health risks in maintaining the family economy of pesticide spraying farmers in Brebes Regency, Indonesia. This research used qualitative methods with case studies and interviews with informants (family heads). The respondents were interviewed to find out the health and economic conditions of their families. The data collected were then compiled to describe the health and economic conditions experienced by the head of the family. Respondents were interviewed that economic pressures were so difficult that they ignored the health risks they faced. Maintaining the family's economy in a difficult life, family heads are willing to face all kinds of illnesses they suffer. Pesticide spraying activities on agriculture are carried out routinely as farmer workers to meet the economic needs of the family. Pesticide poisoning that cause physical health disorders, the heat of the sun, rain and fatigue as health risks are ignored because there is no other choice to maintain the family economy. Keywords: health risks; economy; farmer; pesticides ABSTRAK Penggunaan bahan kimia beracun secara intensif dapat berdampak buruk pada ekosistem lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat. Petani sebagai penyemprot pestisida pada pertanian memiliki risiko terkena pestisida. Masalah kebutuhan ekonomi keluarga membuat petani bertahan dari risiko kesehatan yang ditimbulkan dari bahan beracun tersebut. Paparan pestisida kimia dalam jangka panjang dapat berdampak buruk bagi kesehatan manusia, terutama penyakit sistemik. Tekanan ekonomi yang sulit terkait pendapatan keluarga, kebutuhan keluarga dan kesehatan keluarga menyebabkan petani menyerah pada risiko kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan risiko kesehatan dalam mempertahankan ekonomi keluarga petani penyemprot pestisida di Kabupaten Brebes. Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi kasus dan wawancara dengan informan (kepala keluarga). Responden diwawancarai untuk mengetahui kondisi kesehatan dan ekonomi keluarganya. Data yang terkumpul kemudian disusun untuk menggambarkan kondisi kesehatan dan ekonomi yang dialami oleh kepala keluarga. Temuan; responden diwawancarai bahwa tekanan ekonomi begitu sulit sehingga mereka mengabaikan risiko kesehatan yang mereka hadapi. Kesimpulannya aktivitas penyemprotan pestisida di pertanian dilakukan secara rutin sebagai pekerja petani untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi keluarga. Keracunan pestisida yang menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan tubuh, panasnya matahari, kehujanan dan kelelahan merupakan risiko kesehatan yang diabaikan, karena tidak ada pilihan lain untuk mempertahankan ekonomi keluarga.Kata kunci: risiko; kesehatan; ekonomi; petani; pestisida

Abstract

Jurnal Penelitian Kesehatan Suara Forikes masih menemui kendala ketidakharmonisan peran antara journal manager, admin, editors, reviewers, authors dan readers, maka perlu dibenahi melalui sebuah kaji tindak yakni “Harmonizing and Accelerating Journal (HAJo)”. Kaji tindak dilaksanakan selama 1 tahun, dalam 3 siklus, masing-masing terdiri atas 3 tahap yaitu planning, acting, observing dan reflecting. Hasil siklus pertama menunjukkan adanya masalah teknikal yaitu belum ada DOI, review form, notifikasi e-mail otomatis; dan masalah proses publikasi yaitu penggunaan article template, proses submission yang tak lengkap dan editorial review yang lambat. Siklus kedua dapat menyelesaikan masalah dalam siklus pertama dan indeksasi DOAJ. Dalam siklus ketiga, status akreditasi pertama didapatkan (SINTA-3). Disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan HAJo berhasil memperbaiki keharmonisan manajemen jurnal dari segi teknis dan proses publikasi, serta mengakselerasi indeksasi dan akreditasi jurnal. Abstract

Keberhasilan program kesehatan berkaitan dengan kualitas pelaksanaan program di lapangan. Salah satu cara untuk mewujudkan keberhasilan program kesehatan adalah dengan memberikan kesempatan kepada pelaksana program untuk menyelesaikan masalah-masalah secara professional melalui action research yang dilaksanakan secara terkontrol. Idealnya action research dilaksanakan sendiri oleh para pelaksana pogram kesehatan secara on the job. Pendekatan ini dapat dilaksanakan dalam beberapa siklus sampai hasil yang ditargetkan dapat dicapai. Masing-masing siklus terdiri atas empat tahapan yaitu perencanan (planning), pelaksanaan (acting), pengamatan (observing), dan refleksi (reflecting). Dengan pendekatan ini, bisa diterapkan tindakan-tindakan inovatif yang efektif untuk memecahkan masalah-masalah dalam implementasi program kesehatan. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the activities of farmers using pesticides that pose a risk to the health of farmers in the agricultural area of Larangan village. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research with a cross-sectional study design. The samples taken were 67 respondents based on the inclusion criteria, namely actively spraying chemical pesticides and a minimum working period of 25 years. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire and data analysis using SPSS tools to describe the activities of farmers using pesticides. The results showed that activities that were at risk of being exposed to chemical pesticides were not using the correct personal protective equipment, mixing pesticides without using gloves, spraying against the wind, spraying while smoking cigarettes, mixing several types of pesticides with excessive doses when spraying was carried out during the day. Health complaints felt by farmers included shortness of breath, headaches, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, skin diseases, muscle disorders, blurred vision. Farmers' activities do not follow the procedures for using pesticides, which pose a risk to health. Suggestion; farmers must use chemical pesticides wisely according to the specified standards and must be equipped with knowledge about how to use pesticides correctly and their negative health impacts.Keywords: identification, farmer activities, pesticides, agriculture
