Abstract

This study aims to design a data-driven and analytical-based strategy for assessing student needs in Junior High School (JHS). A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing observation and literature review methods. The study population consisted of JHS students, with samples randomly selected from various schools. Research instruments included social media observation and literature review. Instrument validity and reliability were ensured through literature comparison. Data were analyzed through data reduction and triangulation approaches. The results indicate that JHS student needs assessment aims to measure learning achievement, provide feedback, promote active learning, adapt teaching methods, assess program effectiveness, and identify special needs. Assessment principles, types, data-driven design, and needs analytics are the main focuses. The implications of this research are to enhance the quality of education in JHS through more responsive and effective assessments. Suggestions for further research include involving more educational stakeholders to ensure program relevance and responsiveness. This study contributes to the development of better education in Indonesia.

Abstract

The rise of patriarchal culture in the 5.0 era is still a topic of conversation and debate among society. The observed patriarchal culture is still a hot topic of discussion because its dominance in society influences various aspects of life, such as gender inequality. Men have power in society, while women have a small percentage of influence. The method used for this research is a quantitative method which is defined as research in the form of numbers processed through scoring. Quantitative research was processed and analyzed using statistical calculation techniques with 277 respondents collected. And from the analysis carried out by researchers, Surabaya State University students disagree regarding patriarchy which is still a strong culture among society in the 5.0 era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Differential Reinforcement of Low Rates (DRL) technique in reducing tardiness behavior among ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 61 Surabaya. Student tardiness is considered not only a matter of discipline violation but also a factor that disrupts classroom effectiveness; thus, a classroom management strategy grounded in Skinner’s behaviorism is required. The research employed a quantitative approach with a Single Subject Research (SSR) A-B-A design. Five students with consistently high levels of tardiness were purposively selected as research subjects. Data were collected through attendance records across three phases: baseline one (A1), intervention (B), and baseline two (A2). The intervention involved providing positive reinforcement such as verbal praise, reward points, and special privileges whenever students arrived on time. Data were analyzed descriptively using frequency counts of tardiness per week and visualized through graphs to identify behavioral trends. The results revealed a significant decrease in tardiness frequency from the baseline to the intervention phase, with stability maintained during the second baseline. These findings confirm that DRL is a simple, effective, and contextually relevant strategy for fostering student punctuality and discipline. The novelty of this study lies in applying differential reinforcement in a public junior high school setting with limited resources, contributing fresh insights into the Indonesian context of classroom management.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media bimbingan dan konseling berupa website self awareness sebagai pencegahan penyalahgunaan narkoba yang tepat guna. Penelitian ini di dasarkan pada berbagai kasus penyalahgunaan narkoba, terutama pada peserta didik SMA yang memerlukan penanganan segera. Peserta didik SMA yang cenderung memiliki emosi yang belum stabil, sangat rentan terhadap berbagai pengaruh negatif di sekitarnya. Media website menekankan self awareness menurut Daniel Goleman dalam menunjang pencegahan narkoba. Hal ini didasarkan pada tiga aspek self awareness, yaitu emotional awareness, accurate self assessment, dan self confident. Media website ini dikembangkan menggunakan model penelitian ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) dengan melibatkan validasi media menggunakan expert judgment dan rumus Gregory. Validasi ini melibatkan ahli materi, ahli media, dan pengguna (Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling) sebagai validator. Hasil akhir validasi menunjukkan koefisien validitas bernilai satu. Nilai ini bermakna bahwa media berada pada validitas sangat tinggi atau layak digunakan. Dengan kata lain, media bimbingan dan konseling website self awareness sebagai pencegahan penyalahgunaan narkoba, relevan dan efektif sesuai kebutuhan permasalahan yang ada
