Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of using video-based learning media on student learning motivation on fable story material at Tomosa Christian Private Junior High School. The background of the research shows that learning media can increase students' understanding and interest, but many teachers still do not utilize it optimally. The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach, involving observation and written tests. The results showed that the use of videos as learning media was effective in increasing students' motivation and understanding. Videos help visualize fable material, make learning more interesting, and increase student engagement. In conclusion, video-based learning media has a significant positive impact on students' learning motivation, indicating that the integration of technology in education is essential to improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

Morfologi merupakan salah satu bagian dari cabang linguistik atau ilmu bahasa. Secara etimologi kata morfologi berasal dari kata morf yang berarti ‘bentuk’ dan kata logi yang berarti ilmu (Putria Monica Suci & Dewi Ratnaningsih 2022:483). Alasan mengapa morfem harus dikaji yaitu agar ketidaksesuaian antara kata-kata yang digunakan oleh para pemakai bahasa dengan kaidah tersebut tidak menimbulkan kesalahan sampai pada tataran makna. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan untuk menganalisis morfem pada kata ulang (reduplikasi) cerpen pada robohnya surau kami karya ali akbar navis yaitu menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu cerpen Robohnya Surau Kami karya Ali Akbar Navis . Sedangkan objek yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah menentukan morfem pada kata ulang yang berafiks. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji morfem pada kata ulang (reduplikasi) yang terdapat pada cerpen Robohnya Surau Kami karya Ali Akbar Navis. Terdapat beberapa morfem atau bentuk dasar yang mengalami reduplikasi berafiks pada cerpen Robohnya Surau Kami Karya Ali Akbar Navis yaitu: 1. Bentuk morfem pada kata yang mengalami kata ulang (reduplikasi) yang berafiks yang ditemukan dalam cerpen ini adalah (a) morfem “kira”, (b) morfem “muji”, (c) morfem “lain”, (d) morfem “teman”, (e) morfem “olah”, (f) morfem “sebut”, (f) morfem “cengang”, (g) morfem “tahun”, (h) morfem “ramai”, (i) morfem “sama”, (j) morfem “ulang”, (k) morfem “senyum”, (l) morfem “ulang”, dan (m) morfem “mudah”.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess the impact of using video media in improving the writing skills of description text in class VII-1 students at SMP Negeri 1 Alasa. The learning method involving video media was applied during the research period, focusing on vocabulary development sentence structure, conformity of content to the title and understanding of context. This study used Classroom Action Research Design (PTK), the type of data collection used was descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The population of this study was all students in SMP Negeri 1 Alasa, while the subjects used in this study were students of class VII-1 as many as 28 people. The results showed a significant improvement in the quality of students' writing, indicating that the utilization of video media proved effective in improving the ability to write descriptive texts at that grade level.

Abstract

Improving the quality of schools requires various strategies. One of the things that affects students' academic and non-academic abilities is influenced by the strategies used by the principal. The purpose of this research is to find out what are the school strategies in improving students' abilities in the academic and non-academic fields. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data source used in this study is primary data. The subjects in this study are school principals, teachers, and students. Meanwhile, the object of this study is the analysis of school strategies in improving student achievement. The instruments used in this study are questionnaires for students and interview sheets. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the data analysis showed that school strategies had a positive effect on the development of potential in students, both in the academic and non-academic fields. This is evidenced by the average score of the questionnaire which reached 91.8. The findings of this research are to improve student achievement in the academic and non-academic fields can be done by making policies, programs and activities adjusted to the vision, mission and goals of the school as a basis in determining strategies that can be implemented by all students, as well as utilizing various appropriate media and learning methods so that students are able to be motivated to learn
