Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendekripsikan kemampuan yang dimiliki mahasiswa angkatan 2022B Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia dalam menulis kata tulisan Arab Melayu. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian yaitu sampel mahasiswa angkatan 2022B dengan jumlah 20 orang dan objek penelitian yaitu kemampuan menulis kata Arab Melayu. Analisis data yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah statistik deskriptif dengan mengumpulkan hasil tes tertulis, kemudian diberi penilaian, menentukan presentase hasil pencapaian tes menulis, dan menghitung skor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis kata Arab Melayu angkatan 2022B belum sepenuhnya memahami kaidah penulisan Arab Melayu dengan baik. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dari hasil penilaian yang menunjukkan kemampuan mahasiswa angkatan 2022B berada pada kategori rendah dengan rata-rata 57,00%. Saran yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan merefleksikan diri tentang kelemahan dalam pembelajaran Arab Melayu sehingga pada mata kuliah Arab Melayu yang akan datang pada semester selanjutnya dapat membenahi kesalahan dan melakukan pembetulan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effective reading speed of non-fiction scientific articles among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Ukui using a descriptive quantitative approach. Data were obtained through reading speed tests and comprehension tests using cognitive aspects of reading literacy. Data analysis was performed using the formula reading speed x reading comprehension, then categorizing the KEM level at the junior high school level. The results of the study indicate that the students' KEM is very high, with an average of 124 kpm, and their reading comprehension is categorized as high, with an average of 67. These findings suggest that although students can read quickly, comprehension still needs to be improved through regular practice and strategies that balance both aspects in learning.
