Abstract

This research aims to analyze the lack of classroom facilities and its impact on the learning process in elementary schools. The data source for this research was taken from an iterative study and observations carried out in one of the schools, namely Attaufiq Elementary School, Medan. This research was carried out by observing first, then the research team looked for relevant research data sources from books, journals, documents and other written works, then carried out data analysis to obtain data that was relevant to the topic being researched, so as to be able to achieve the research objectives. The final stage is preparation, each source and research result is arranged systematically and structured, starting from the introduction, research methods, research results, conclusions and bibliography. With this study, it is hoped that it can provide an overview for school residents who experience the problem of lack of school facilities to be more innovative and creative in designing other alternative solutions or using alternative solutions offered to overcome and improve the learning process.

Abstract

Physical education plays an important role in improving the fitness and health of the younger generation, especially at primary school level. This study aims to analyze the effect of physical education programs on the physical fitness of elementary school students. With a qualitative approach, this research collects data through interviews and observations to understand the relationship between physical education programs and students’ physical fitness. The research results show that the level of physical fitness of students at SD Negeri 064966 is still less than optimal, mainly due to lack of physical activity. The physical fitness of male students is better than that of female students, and fitness levels increase with grade level. Physical education programs are proven to have many benefits, including improving physical health, motor skills, mental well-being, social interaction, preventing obesity, developing healthy habits, and improving concentration and academic achievement. In conclusion, a structured physical education program can significantly improve students’ physical fitness and quality of life, so it needs to continue to be developed and implemented effectively in elementary schools.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics as a study bridges mathematics with local cultural contexts, including traditional architecture. Istana Maimun, a cultural heritage of the Malay people, holds a wealth of geometric elements that reflect local wisdom and cultural values. This research aims to explore the geometric aspects of Istana Maimun's architectural design through an ethnomathematical approach. The study identifies patterns of symmetry, proportions, and geometric functions applied in architectural elements such as ornaments, spatial layouts, and building structures. The analysis reveals that the geometry in Istana Maimun's architecture not only serves an aesthetic purpose but also carries philosophical meanings closely tied to Malay cultural identity. This research is expected to contribute to the development of ethnomathematics studies and the preservation of local wisdom.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum provides thinking in learning, allowing teachers to adjust the material to the needs of students. However, challenges such as limited resources, teacher readiness, and variations in student learning styles are still challenges in its implementation (Kemendikbud, 2022). This study aims to examine the implementation of adaptive learning modules as a solution to improve learning effectiveness. Adaptive modules that integrate technology and personalization of teaching materials are expected to improve students' understanding in a way that is more appropriate to their individual needs (Mayer, 2009). The approach used in this study includes literature studies and field observations, which show that adaptive modules can significantly improve student learning outcomes. However, the implementation of this adaptive learning module still requires support in the form of adequate teacher training and supporting technological infrastructure so that learning can run effectively and efficiently (Batubara, 2019). This study provides recommendations to strengthen teacher readiness and provide the resources needed in the implementation of adaptive modules.
