Abstract

The development of the era which is known as the digital era has provided changes and challenges for the world of education and also in the economic and other fields. The digital era is a more advanced development that will make everything digital in accordance with the preparation of more professional Civics teachers for the future in creating the skills and competencies needed in the digital era. Preparations must be made from now on, where every teacher learns how to use digital systems which must be adapted to learning needs in the digital era. The research method used is the library study method which is research carried out using library literature using a library study approach which is a supporting material for completing and obtaining research results about professional teachers for the future needed in the digital era. Teachers prepare themselves to create skills and competencies in the digital era.

Abstract

Elections are an integral part of the Indonesian political system itself. Regular elections are held every five years during the leadership period. Indonesia adheres to a democratic system in which every citizen has the right to give their rights and votes to government officials or the highest state institutions and elections are part of the democratic system itself. We held a democratic party last February, we encountered many unique things during the election, especially in the younger generation or what is now called Gen-Z. In this research, our group used qualitative research methods. Qualitative research is research carried out directly in the field to obtain information or factual data that occurs in the field, assisted by several sources of informants who can strengthen our research. This research was carried out with the aim of finding out how participation was and how far Gen-Z understood the previous elections, whether there were any pros or cons during the leadership election. Therefore, let's discuss further in the discussion regarding Gen-Z participation in elections.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the book lending policy at the Digital Library of the State University of Medan (UNIMED) and explore student responses to the policy. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection through interviews and observations in the Digital Library building. The results of the study show that most students understand and feel helped by the new policy that requires the use of digital applications for book borrowing, which is considered to improve accessibility and convenience. However, there are concerns about the security of personal data, as well as dissatisfaction regarding the withdrawal of physical library cards. Overall, while this policy is effective, there is still a need for improvement, especially in the aspects of data security and better socialization. The proposed recommendations include improving security systems, more intensive policy socialization, and the development of additional in-app features to improve the user experience.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to find out how the Political Theory and Democracy Course is implemented in the Election of Chair and Deputy HMJPPKN FIS UNIMED as well as student problems in Democracy. The method used in writing this article is the qualitative method, observation and interviews in obtaining data. There are several factors that become problematic for students in democracy, namely busyness that cannot be left behind during general elections, because it is clear that the data is there. The vote is around 30%. As for the 30% who are 2017-2021 standard students and the factor is a lack of understanding about politics and democracy, this is where the role of theory and politics courses plays. However, this does not become the basis for the failure of the implementation of political theory and democracy courses because of the results of research data at the time of implementation. In the election, 70% of students were enthusiastic and participated in the election. As for the results of the researchers' research, the majority of students who fall into the 70% are in the 2022-2023 semester. Conclusion: Implementation of political theory and democracy courses in the Fis Civics Civics Department, Unimed. This is a manifestation of the fact that students are not only fixated on lecture theorems but are also carried out simultaneously with the practice of implementing these theories through holding elections for chairman and deputy chairman of HMJPPKN.
