Abstract

Introduction & Aim: This PPM activity is motivated by the high incidence of non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular disease. The epidemiological transition of this disease describes a tendency towards degenerative diseases which is determined by people's behavior. Based on a survey conducted in RT 2 RW 4, Gayungan, Surabaya City, most of the residents suffer from high blood pressure. High blood pressure is a type of cardiovascular disease. The aim of this activity is to provide education on healthy lifestyles to avoid the risk of contracting CHD to residents. Method of Activity: This community service is carried out by providing education about cardiovascular disease and its prevention. At the end of the education, being given a notebook of daily activities can be a motivation to continue to behave in a healthy way to manage stress. Results: This activity was carried out on Jl. Dukuh Menanggal RT 2 RW 4 Gayungan sub-district, Surabaya City. Education is provided through PowerPoint media, leaflets, and daily recording sheets to improve healthy living and manage stress. After being given counseling, the level of knowledge of residents increased. To be able to implement what they have learned, residents are provided with personal notes as a reminder to live healthily. Discussion: survey results show that the majority of residents still lack regular physical activity. Cardiovascular disease is prone to attack people who lack physical activity. Physical exercise and sports activities will increase cardiac output, redistribution of blood flow, and reduce cholesterol and blood fat levels. Eating foods with balanced nutrition, as well as fruit and vegetables can provide additional vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber that the body needs. Conclusion living a healthy lifestyle with regular physical activity and eating more fruit and vegetables can avoid degenerative diseases.

Abstract

Background: One of the main services in hospitals are the pharmacy department. Pharmaceutical services are expected to be carried out according to established standards, to provide excellent service to patients. Aims: To determine the relationship between the quality of pharmaceutical services and patient satisfaction in the pharmaceutical installation of X Hospital Surabaya Methods: Quantitative research with cross sectional study design. The inclusion criteria in this study were patients/patients' families, aged 20-65 years, and willing to fill out a complete questionnaire. The independent variable is the quality of pharmaceutical services at X Hospital, the dependent variable is patient satisfaction at the X Hospital pharmacy installation. The study population was all patients both inpatient and outpatient at X Hospital, with a minimum sample size of 53 people. Results: Most of the respondents were female (60.38%), aged > 60 years (49.06%) with polyclinic visits mostly 3-4 times and most were college graduates (PT) (43.40%). There was a relationship between satisfaction of respondents with redemption process of drug prescriptions at the Pharmacy Unit of X Hospital Surabaya (p= 0.000 (α≤0.05) and r = 0.498). This shows that the respondents' expectations of the tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy components were well fulfilled. Satisfaction from several of these dimensions indicates a good match between the quality of service at the X Hospital Pharmacy Unit and the level of patient satisfaction. Conclusion: The quality of service at the Pharmacy Installation of X Hospital must be maintained and improved to provide satisfaction to the community. Accuracy in carrying out procedures and supported by the optimization of tangible components, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy can certainly be a form of commitment in maintaining the quality of service in hospitals

Abstract

Background: the trend of teenagers hanging out with their friends nowadays is smoking. Many teenagers in Indonesia smoke because they are carried away by their environment. According to The Tobacco Control Atlas ASEAN Region 5th shows that Indonesia is the country with the highest number of smokers. The younger the smoking age, the longer the smoking habit. The longer a person's smoking habit, the greater the chance that person will get sick from smoking Aims: This study aims to look at factors from within adolescents to be able to bring up the intention to quit smoking. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design. The sample selection used purposive technical sampling with a vulnerable age of 13-21 years. Logistic regression analysis was used to see whether there was a relationship between attitudes, subjective norms, perceptions, and self-efficacy towards the intention to quit smoking. Results: 30 teenagers were sampled in this study, aged 13-20 years, and the majority were in grade 3 of junior high school. Self-confidence or self-efficacy is the variable that has the greatest influence on the emergence of intention to stop smoking (0.000; 0.845). The existence of a very strong self-confidence to be able to quit smoking will bring up a very strong intention as well. Conclusion: smoking is an activity that is very detrimental to oneself and others. Many teenagers today since junior high school already have a smoking habit. Therefore, it is necessary to have a special method to bring out the intention of teenagers to quit smoking

Abstract

Background: hospital is a comprehensive health service institution. In addition to curative and rehabilitative activities, hospitals also have promotive and preventive activities. Demand for health services increases along with population growth and the improvement of health services. The existence of the hospital is largely determined by the marketing strategy. A good marketing strategy will result in good patient loyalty. Every patient wants good and quality health services. Aims: This research was conducted at Adi Husada Kapasari Hospital to determine the relationship between brand image, service quality, and trust that has been built by the hospital on patient loyalty. Methods: The average number of outpatient visits was 70 patients. Then calculated the number of samples with simple random sampling and obtained a minimum sample of 49 people. This study used a cross-sectional method using a questionnaire and was conducted on the patient or the patient's companion. The independent variables in this study are brand image, service quality, and trust. dependent variable is patient loyalty. Results: The results of data collection showed that the level of patient loyalty was sufficient. The results of the spearman-rho test show that there is a relationship between brand image (0.604; 0.000), service quality (0.411; 0.000), trust (0.941; 0.000), and patient loyalty at Adi Husada Kapasari Hospital Surabaya. Conclusion: There is a relationship between brand image, service quality and trust on patient loyalty. Several studies have proven that the combination of these three independent variables will have an impact on the loyalty of consumers or service users. There needs to be an increase in service quality towards friendliness to patients. This is to improve the hospitality felt by patients at the Adi Husada Kapasari hospital.
