Abstract

Preeclampsia is a condition identified as diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg at ≥ 20 weeks of gestation. Preeclampsia is a risky condition for pregnant women, is one of the causes of maternal death in Indonesia, and causes fetal growth to be hampered. Games that can help you understand more easily are puzzles, containing word games. One of the puzzle games is the Spelling Puzzle Game. This activity aims to independently detect preeclampsia in pregnant women using the Spelling Puzzle Game. The method used in community service is health education outreach using the Spelling Puzzle Game media. The targets for this activity were pregnant women, women of childbearing age (WUS), and cadres in the RW 07 Kapasan Village area, Simokerto District, totaling 21 respondents. The results of the activity showed that the level of knowledge about preeclampsia was in the good category of 100% (21 respondents). Respondents should be able to carry out early detection of preeclampsia independently to help reduce or control blood pressure

Abstract

Introduction & Aim: The Emergency Department (ED) is one of the spearheads of hospital health services aimed at providing first aid for patients. Providing emergency services to reduce morbidity and mortality rates it requires the ability of nurses to sort out patients who need help first, this sorting is called Triage. This community service aims to provide education on the implementation of triage on the level of knowledge of the patient's family in the ED. Method of Activity: Implementation of community service at the ED of Adi Husada Kapasari Hospital, January 2023, the target is the patient's family. The method of providing education on the implementation of triage to the patient's family is with lectures and media leaflets. The first stage collects the patient's family and gives a questionnaire sheet. The second stage is the delivery of material and discussion of questions and answers about the implementation of triage, as well as giving questionnaires. Results: A total of 10 representatives of the patient's family members participated. Characteristics based on age showed that half (50%) were aged 36-45 years, based on gender the majority (60%) were female, and based on education the majority (80%) had high school/vocational high school education. Knowledge of the patient's family before being given triage education showed that most (60%) had less knowledge, whereas after being given triage education most (60%) had good knowledge about triage. Discussion: Providing education on the implementation of triage to the patient's family is very useful, and has proven to be able to provide information as well as understanding regarding health service procedures in the ED, families better understand the actions given to their family members while in the ED, and can change the behavior and perceptions of the patient's family towards the procedure given by ED health workers.

Abstract

Introduction & Aim: While the issue of malnutrition hasn't been completely overcome, the issue of overweight and obesity seems to be becoming worse. Obesity is a phenomenon similar to an iceberg that appears straightforward on the surface. If not treated right once, it would endanger the sustainability of future generations. Families and their members will have more access to complete health care. The aim of this activity is to carry out extensive community service projects that educate about the risks of obesity using a family-centered approach. Method of Activity: Educational Activities "RETAS" or Risk of Obesity is one of the health promotion activities with a family approach. The educational activity "RETAS" was carried out in Gubeng District, Surabaya, in December 2022. The implementation of community service activities included filling out pre-tests, giving materials, filling out food diaries, food diary, demonstration of physical activity, and post-tests. Activity. The "RETAS" activity was filled with the provision of comprehensive education, including obesity prevention, a community movement program for healthy living, balanced nutrition guidelines followed by filling out a food diary according to WHO guidelines, demonstration of physical activity, also distribution of media leaflets and booklets. Results: Participants' understanding increased by 72% after delivering education and materials. Discussion: Leaflets and booklets have been proven to increase participants' knowledge of the risk of obesity in families. Prevention of the risk of obesity with a comprehensive family approach through "RETAS" Education is hoped to be adopted as one of the health promotion efforts in urban and rural areas.

Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is being felt all over the world, especially in Indonesia. Covid-19 has had an impact on the health, economic and social sectors. The large number of deaths due to disease causes changes in the composition of the population. To prevent the spread from becoming more widespread, the government implemented large-scale social restrictions. Travel restrictions and long stays at home have the government fearing a post-pandemic boom in births. Therefore the government focuses on birth control. This study aims to determine the development of a pandemic and its impact on the number of new users of family planning methods in East Java Province.The research used secondary data that came from the website of the East Java Provincial Health Office and the Population and Family Planning Agency from March 2020 to November 2021. The results of the regression test showed that there was no effect between the number of positive confirmed cases of Covid-19 and the number of new users of contraceptive methods. This shows that the policies developed have been successful and it is hoped that there will be a strategy for family planning services for other emergencies. Socialization and establishing cooperation between health workers in the field also need to be improved, especially for health workers in the private sector.

Abstract

Background: Understanding customer needs and customer desires by providing the best quality service, it makes many hospitals stand up to meet customer needs by providing optimal service. So that management must provide the best service so that hospital can be recognized by the comunity. Service orientation can be carried out by human resources which are very valuable assets, service orientation can be measured by employee commitment to their organization. Because employees who have a commitment to their organization will continue to maintain the duties and responsibilities. Aims: The study aims to analyze the influence of service orientation towards organizational commitment at hospital X Surabaya. Methods: The study use a quantitative research design with a tpopulation of 171 and sample of 68 respondents. The research variables consist of : the influence of service orientation (independent) and organizational commitment (dependen) Results: The results showed that influence service orientation organizational commitment in non medical staffs at Hospital X Surabaya with p value (sig) of 0.000 below 0.05. The result of statistical processing show the ability of 71.4% of the service orientation variable to influence organizational commitment to non medical. . Conclusion: Service orientation has influence on organizational commitment hospital X Surabaya. This can occur because orientation is given to customers as a guide for employees in carrying out the task and responsibilities given and building a work culture and a conducive atmosphere in the hospital. Aims: The study aims to determine the influence of service orientation on organizational commitment at hospital X Surabaya. Methods: The study use a quantitative research design with a type of research used in a planned and structured manner with the use of many numbers from data collection, processing so it can produce a result. The research variables consist of : the influence of service orientation (independent) anda organizational commitment (dependen) Results: The result of the study indicate that service orientation influence organizational commitment to non medical at Hospital X Surabaya with a Tvalue of 7.464 and p value (sig) of 0.000 below 5%. The result of statistical processing indicate the ability of 71.4% of the service oreinetation variable to inlunfluence organizational commitment to non medical. . Conclusion: Service orientation has influence on organizational commitment hospital X Surabaya. This can occur because orientation is given to customers as a guide for employees in carrying out the task and responsibilitys given and building a work culture and a conducive atmosphere in the hospital.

Abstract

Background: Work safety in hospitals is still a problem. With so many dangers occurring, efforts need to be made to reduce or even eliminate hazard controls. For hospital accreditation, work safety must be managed well. Aims: The aim of this research is to reduce inhibiting factors in the implementation of this system so that hospitals can be managed well. Methods: This research design is quantitative with the Cross Sectional method, the research sample consists of 44 respondents. Results: Fisher’s test results show that there is no correlation between K3 and work capacity, workload and work environment. The majority of female respondents in hospital x (66%), had a bachelor;s degree (66%), and had worked for more than 5 years (55%). Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between work capacity, workload, work environment and work safety in hospital x.

Abstract

Banyak efek samping Kesehatan kronis akibat perilaku merokok. Tembakau dapat membunuh 1 dari 2 penggunanya. Remaja usia 13-17 tahun di Indonesia, sudah mulai merokok. Pengabdian masyarakat bertujuan untuk menyadarkan remaja bahwa merokok merugikan Kesehatan mereka. Pengabdian masyarakat memberikan edukasi tentang cara menabung karena berhenti merokok. Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan kepada remaja di Jl. Kalilom Lor Indah RT 10 RW 10. Pemilihan remaja karena daerah tersebut merupakan daerah menengah ke bawah dan banyak remaja yang sudah merokok. Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan memberikan penyuluhan dan berdiskusi dengan para remaja. Tingkat pengetahuan dan tindakan baik para remaja meningkat 23,12%. Sikap responden mengalami peningkatan sebesar 15,43%. Pengetahuan responden meningkat setelah pemberian penyuluhan terkait konsep penyuluhan terhadap upaya mengubah keyakinan Perilaku, keyakinan normatif, dan keyakinan kontrol. Pemberian pelatihan bermanfaat bagi para remaja yang berasal dari keluarga menengah ke bawah. Hal ini terbukti dari pemberian penyuluhan dan pemberian pengalaman perokok sebelumnya, tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap mereka terhadap rokok sudah mulai berubah. Penyuluhan ini tidak hanya bermanfaat bagi mereka yang sudah kecanduan merokok, tetapi juga bermanfaat bagi remaja yang tidak merokok. Remaja yang tidak merokok diharapkan dapat menjadi agen perubahan bagi orang-orang di sekitar mereka. Hal ini terbukti dari pemberian penyuluhan dan pemberian pengalaman perokok sebelumnya, tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap mereka terhadap rokok sudah mulai berubah. Penyuluhan ini tidak hanya bermanfaat bagi mereka yang sudah kecanduan merokok, tetapi juga bermanfaat bagi remaja yang tidak merokok. Remaja yang tidak merokok diharapkan dapat menjadi agen perubahan bagi orang-orang di sekitar mereka. Hal ini terbukti dari pemberian penyuluhan dan pemberian pengalaman perokok sebelumnya, tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap mereka terhadap rokok sudah mulai berubah. Penyuluhan ini tidak hanya bermanfaat bagi mereka yang sudah kecanduan merokok, tetapi juga bermanfaat bagi remaja yang tidak merokok. Abstract

Pemanfaatan Aplikasi Mobile JKN bagi pasien BPJS Kesehatan yang akan mendapat pelayanan rawat jalan di RS PKU Muhammadiyah Surabaya. Dalam pelaksanaannya masih ditemukan kendala akses sistem, ketidaksesuaian data, serta masalah teknis yang menghambat proses pendaftaran online. Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai hubungan antara penggunaan Mobile JKN dan tingkat kepuasan pasien, dengan pendekatan EUCS. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional. Populasi adalah pasien yang mendaftar lewat Aplikasi Mobile JKN, dengan minimum sampel 83 individu berusia 18 tahun ke atas, didapat melalui teknik consecutive sampling. Variabel penelitian ini meliputi content, accuracy, format, ease of use, timeliness. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner berbasis kertas dan Google Form yang mengukur 5 dimensi EUCS. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji korelasi Spearman. Seluruh dimensi EUCS memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap kepuasan pasien (p < 0,05) berdasarkan uji korelasi Spearman. Dimensi content (r = 0,526), format (r = 0,497), dan ease of use (r = 0,410) memiliki korelasi sedang, sedangkan accuracy (r = 0,247) menunjukkan korelasi lemah. Dimensi timeliness memiliki tingkat korelasi paling kuat (r = 0,596), menegaskan pentingnya ketepatan waktu dalam layanan digital kesehatan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik kualitas aplikasi Mobile JKN dari aspek content, accuracy, format, ease of use, dan timeliness, maka semakin tinggi tingkat kepuasan pasien rawat jalan. Peningkatan kelima dimensi EUCS perlu menjadi fokus pengembangan untuk mendukung layanan digital yang lebih optimal.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Perilaku self-medication, atau pengobatan mandiri, adalah tindakan individu yang secara sukarela mengobati gejala-gejala penyakit dengan menggunakan obat-obatan tanpa konsultasi terlebih dahulu dengan tenaga medis profesional. Menurut WHO fenomena ini banyak terjadi di seluruh dunia, terutama di negara berkembang, 64% orang di wilayah regional Asia pernah melakukan self medication. Di Indonesia, perilaku self-medication semakin umum, terutama di wilayah dengan keterbatasan infrastruktur kesehatan dan sumber daya medis Masyarakat Madura memiliki karakteristik budaya dan sosial yang unik, yang dapat mempengaruhi perilaku kesehatan mereka. Masyarakat Madura, dengan karakteristik sosial dan budaya yang khas, sering kali mengandalkan pengobatan tradisional dan obat-obatan yang mudah diakses untuk merawat penyakit sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau aspek sosio-demografi terhadap perilaku self medication pada masyarakat Madura Metode: Penelitian ini adalah studi observasional analitik dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan September-Oktober 2024 di Wilayah Pulau Madura dengan populasi masyarakat yang berdomisili di wilayah Madura. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 96 responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara beberapa faktor sosio-demografi, seperti jenis kelamin (p=0,006), usia (p=0,007), status pernikahan (p=0,032), dan kepemilikan asuransi (p=0,025), dengan perilaku self-medication di masyarakat Madura. Tingginya tingkat self-medication menunjukkan pentingnya edukasi masyarakat mengenai risiko penggunaan obat yang tidak tepat, serta perlunya regulasi yang lebih ketat terhadap distribusi obat bebas, terutama obat keras seperti antibiotic Saran: Pentingnya edukasi masyarakat tentang penggunaan obat yang aman dan perlunya regulasi terhadap distribusi obat bebas. Selain itu, peningkatan akses masyarakat terhadap layanan kesehatan formal juga harus menjadi prioritas untuk mengurangi ketergantungan masyarakat Madura pada self-medication yang kurang aman.

Abstract

Introduction & Aim: Hypertension was one of the most common degenerative diseases among the elderly and could reduce their quality of life if not properly managed. This community service aimed to improve the multidimensional wellness of elderly with hypertension through the SENIKEL (Healthy, Energetic, Comfortable, Inspirational) program in RW 07 Gading Karya, Gading Sub-district, Tambaksari District, Surabaya City. Method of Activity: The method used health education, participatory discussion, and relaxation practice involving 35 elderly people with the criteria of having good cognitive abilities, being cooperative, and willing to participate in the activities until completion, which were carried out on December 27, 2024. Results: The results showed an increase in multidimensional wellness after the intervention. Before education, elderly in the good category of wellness were only 40.0%, increasing to 62.9% after the intervention. Meanwhile, the fair category decreased from 45.7% to 28.6%, and the poor category decreased from 14.3% to 8.6%. Discussion: This activity proved that community-based educational programs were effective in improving the holistic quality of life of elderly with hypertension. It was recommended that similar programs be carried out continuously with the support of health cadres and families to maintain the sustainability of the outcomes.
