Abstract

Solidarity with human diversity in groups can be built when there is a connection to moral aspects. Morals can unite humans socially and be able to lead a person to have attitudes and actions to act wisely in order to avoid conflict, how is the conflict resolution education model based on Sabilulungan local wisdom values in building social cooperation skills competencies for elementary school students? Based on the formulation of the main problem, the research steps are elaborated into several sub questions as follows: How is the factual picture of social studies learning in elementary schools so far? How is conflict resolution education based on local wisdom sabilulungan in building the competence of cooperative skills of elementary school students? Social skills are an important part that a person needs in social life when interacting with others. Cartledge and Milburn (1992) state that social skills are the ability of a person or community member to establish relationships with others and the ability to solve problems so that they can adapt harmoniously to the surrounding community. This research and development produces a product model of Conflict Resolution Education Based on Sabilulungan Local Wisdom (PRK-BKLS) which produces a model syntax consisting of 5 (five) stages, namely: exploration, logical reasoning, consensus building, decision making, and conflict resolution reflection.

Abstract

Islamic studies as a field of discipline has undergone significant transformation throughout its history. The methodology used in Islamic studies continues to evolve, in line with the social, political, and intellectual developments within Muslim societies. This article explores the relationship between traditional methodologies in Islamic studies and the contemporary, more inclusive, and interdisciplinary approaches. By incorporating social theory, sociology, gender studies, and philosophy, the article argues that Islamic studies methodology needs to adapt to modern dynamics in order to provide a more holistic understanding of the religious and social phenomena faced by Muslims today. Furthermore, the article examines how traditional methodologies, focusing on tafsir, hadith, and fiqh, can be integrated with modern theories such as postcolonial theory, political sociology, and feminist theory. The research shows that while classical Islamic thought provides a strong foundation, contemporary methodologies that are more open to interdisciplinary approaches can offer new solutions in addressing contemporary challenges such as radicalization, secularization, and pluralism in the Muslim world.ABSTRAKStudi Islam sebagai disiplin ilmu telah berkembang seiring dengan perubahan sosial, politik, dan intelektual dalam masyarakat Muslim, yang memunculkan kebutuhan untuk menyesuaikan metodologi dengan tantangan zaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pergeseran metodologi dalam studi Islam, mengintegrasikan pendekatan tradisional dengan teori-teori sosial-politik kontemporer, seperti teori postkolonial, sosiologi, dan feminisme. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi literatur, mengkaji karya-karya klasik dan kontemporer terkait metodologi studi Islam. Data dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi tema utama dalam perubahan metodologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun metodologi tradisional yang berfokus pada tafsir, hadits, dan fiqh memiliki nilai penting dalam memahami ajaran Islam, pendekatan interdisipliner yang menggabungkan teori-teori modern semakin diperlukan untuk menjawab tantangan sosial-politik dunia Muslim masa kini, seperti radikalisasi, sekularisasi, dan pluralisme.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji gagasan dan pemikiran KH. Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) dalam bidang pemerintahan dan pendidikan melalui pendekatan library research. Gus Dur dikenal sebagai tokoh yang membawa pembaruan pemikiran di era Reformasi dengan menekankan prinsip demokrasi, pluralisme, dan penegakan hak asasi manusia. Dalam bidang pemerintahan, ia menegaskan pentingnya demokrasi partisipatif yang menghormati keberagaman serta menolak segala bentuk diskriminasi. Langkah-langkah konkret yang dilakukan, seperti pembubaran Departemen Penerangan dan penerapan otonomi daerah melalui dialog, menjadi bukti komitmen beliau terhadap keterbukaan politik dan keadilan sosial. Sementara dalam bidang pendidikan, Gus Dur menawarkan paradigma modern yang mengintegrasikan tradisi pesantren dengan ilmu pengetahuan kontemporer. Ia menekankan pentingnya pendidikan yang bersifat pembebasan, multikultural, dan inklusif, yang tidak hanya fokus pada tafaqquh fi al-din, tetapi juga menguasai ilmu umum, teknologi, dan keterampilan praktis. Dengan konsep tersebut, pendidikan Islam diarahkan untuk melahirkan generasi yang toleran, kritis, mandiri, serta adaptif terhadap perkembangan zaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gagasan Gus Dur tetap relevan hingga kini, baik dalam membangun sistem pemerintahan demokratis maupun pendidikan yang berkeadilan dan berdaya saing di tengah masyarakat plural.ABSTRAKThis study aims to explore the ideas and thoughts of KH. Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) in the fields of governance and education through a library research approach. Gus Dur is recognized as a reformist figure who emphasized the principles of democracy, pluralism, and human rights during Indonesia’s Reform Era. In the field of governance, he advocated for participatory democracy that upholds diversity and rejects all forms of discrimination. His concrete actions, such as dissolving the Ministry of Information and promoting regional autonomy through dialogue, demonstrate his commitment to political openness and social justice. In the field of education, Gus Dur proposed a modern paradigm that integrates traditional Islamic values with contemporary knowledge. He promoted a liberating, multicultural, and inclusive education model that not only focuses on tafaqquh fi al-din (religious understanding) but also equips students with general sciences, technology, and practical skills. This integrative approach reflects his vision to prepare a generation that is tolerant, critical, independent, and adaptive to global challenges. The findings of this study highlight that Gus Dur’s ideas remain highly relevant for strengthening democratic governance and advancing an inclusive and competitive educational system in today’s plural society.
