Abstract

Air merupakan sumber energi terbarukan yang berpotensi memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap kebutuhan energi Indonesia. Hal ini termasuk pembangkit listrik tenaga air, yang dapat dimanfaatkan dari energi potensial air dan diubah menjadi energi mekanik melalui turbin, dan kemudian menjadi energi listrik melalui generator, dengan memanfaatkan ketinggian dan kecepatan air. Pembangkit listrik tenaga air merupakan sumber energi bersih dan terbarukan yang dapat membantu mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca, yang terutama dihasilkan oleh pembangkit listrik berbasis bahan bakar fosil. Selain itu, air dapat digunakan untuk keperluan lain, seperti proses industri, pengolahan air, dan aplikasi pemanas. Pembangkit listrik tenaga air dapat dikategorikan ke dalam sistem skala besar dan skala kecil. Pengembangan pembangkit listrik tenaga air di Indonesia sangat penting bagi ketahanan energi negara, karena berpotensi mengurangi ketergantungan pada bahan bakar fosil dan berkontribusi terhadap tujuan pemerintah untuk meningkatkan porsi energi terbarukan dalam bauran energi negara. Pemerintah Indonesia telah menyadari potensi pembangkit listrik tenaga air dan telah menerapkan kebijakan untuk mendorong pengembangannya, termasuk pembentukan kerangka peraturan untuk pembangkit listrik tenaga air skala kecil.

Abstract

Rice and corn milling represent essential processes in enhancing the economic value of agricultural products through the application of physics-based design principles. This study investigates the integration of key physical concepts—such as mechanical forces, torque transmission, material wear, kinetic energy, and energy efficiency—in milling technologies. Comparative analysis of rice milling machines (hammer mill, disc mill, herb grinder) revealed significant variations in flour characteristics, including bulk density, whiteness, elasticity modulus, and water absorption​ In corn milling, the adoption of Pahl and Beitz's systematic design approach produced machines with optimized structural performance for flour and feed production​. The incorporation of magnetic traps within rice mill hoppers further enhanced output quality by mitigating contamination-induced damage​. These findings underscore the critical role of physics-informed engineering in advancing milling performance, ensuring consistent product quality, and prolonging machine operational life.

Abstract

At every change in time that occurs, there are lots of things that change at any time. This is because it is influenced by a person's curiosity about something new and wanting to do it with the knowledge they have obtained. So this creates a change in the world because it is based on curiosity towards science. In making a change that is based on this knowledge, there must be an attitude of appreciation and selectivity regarding the knowledge obtained from the surrounding environment in order to avoid confusion in science. Based on this, the researcher conducted a study of several reference sources related to science related to the role of science in developing society. Because human science and science have a relationship in life, which is found in a curiosity about science. Based on this discussion, the researchers linked it to several related matters, including; the relationship between humans and science, examples of science in society, the benefits of studying science and the goals of science in society.
