The population of this study was all grade 3 students at TELADAN Pematangsiantar Private Middle School as many as 5 million people, the sample technique used was total sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 47 people. Data analysis Univariate analysis was performed to find out the description of the respondents according to the variables studied in the form of a frequency distribution table, while bivariate analysis used the chi-sguare test. Results At the end of the study, it was found that 31 respondents (66.0%) experienced severe stress with details of 18 respondents (58.1%) with normal menstrual cycles and 13 respondents (14.9%) with abnormal menstrual cycles (polymenorrhea). . Value =-0.035(p0.05). The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between stress and menstrual cycle disorders with p-0.0.035 (p <0.05). Suggestions for society in general and female students in particular in dealing with stress to make stress as a motivation not as a pressure so that it does not have a bad effect on health,

Abstract

Hypertension in the elderly is mostly isolated systolic hypertension (HST), increased systolic pressure causes a greater likelihood of stroke and myocardial infarction even though the diastolic pressure is within normal limits (isolated systolic hypertension). Isolated systolic hypertension is the most common form of hypertension in the elderly. In one study, hypertension occupied 87% of cases in people aged 50 to 59 years. According to the World Health Organization, the elderly are grouped into: middle age, which is the age group of 45 -59 years. Elderly (Elderly): between 60-74 years, Old (Old): between 75-90 years, and very old (Very Old) over 90 years, the research method used is " Analytical with cross sectional design using primary data through a questionnaire based on the knowledge and attitudes of the elderly. The sampling technique in this study was random sampling, namely the researcher determined the sample taken because of certain considerations. From the results of this study it was concluded that there was a relationship between the knowledge of the elderly and the incidence of hypertension at the Tapian dolok Health Center, Simalungun Regency. 2016, this is evidenced by the results of the chi-square test with a p-value = 0.004.

Abstract

The cat's whiskers plant is empirically used by the community for the treatment of gout and rheumatism. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the anti-inflammatory power of cat's kumis (Orthosihon stamineus Benth) leaf extract. This study was a quasi-experimental study with a one-way completely randomized design. Kumis Kucing leaf extract was extracted using 70% ethanol. A total of 25 male wistar rats aged 2-3 months, weighing 150-200g were divided into 5 groups. Each group was treated orally with distilled water (negative control), diclofenac sodium 2.25 mg/kg BW (positive control). Kumis leaf ethanol extract tested at doses of 123, 245 and 490 mg/kgBB. Treatment 1 hour before the feet of rats were inflamed with 1% sublantar carrageenin. Measurements of the rat's foot volume were carried out every 0.5 hours for 6.5 hours. The obtained average edema volume curve is used to calculate AUC (Area Under The Curve) and the obtained AUC is used to calculate DAI (Anti-Inflammatory Power). The AUC and DAI data were tested statistically with one way Anava and followed by LSD with a 95% confidence level. The results showed that the ethanol extract of Kumis Kucing leaves had an anti-inflammatory effect on male white rats of the Wistar strain. Kumis Kucing ethanol extract at doses of 123, 245 and 490 mg/kg BW yielded 33.11%; 52.64% and 64.12% respectively. The results showed that the ethanol extract of Kumis Kucing leaves had an anti-inflammatory effect on male white rats of the Wistar strain. Kumis Kucing ethanol extract at doses of 123, 245 and 490 mg/kg BW yielded percent anti-inflammatory properties of 33.11%; 52.64% and 64.12%, respectively.

Abstract

Hair coloring preparations are cosmetic preparations used in hair cosmetology to color hair, either to restore the original hair color or another color. Turmeric rhizome contains alkaloids, flavanoid tannins and essential oils. The purpose of this study was to determine the chemical compounds contained in turmeric rhizome, to make turmeric rhizome change the color of gray hair. Hair dye preparation is made with a formula consisting of a concentration of turmeric extract rhizome, namely 20%. This research method is experimental by using maceration method. Physical evaluation carried out included homogeneity test, irritation test, color stability test against sun exposure, color stability test against washing. The results of this study indicate that turmeric rhizome extract can affect the color of the gray hair obtained. The stability test against washing can last for 5 times washing, the stability test against sunlight shows that the hair turns darker than before.
