Abstract

This comprehensive analysis explores the interplay between income, employee motivation, and compensation strategies, drawing insights from various studies in education and industry. The research, conducted using quantitative methods, uncovers a robust positive correlation between income and work motivation, highlighting the pivotal role of financial rewards in reinforcing desired work-related behaviors. Employing statistical analyses, the study quantifies the impact of income on motivation, providing empirical evidence of its significance. Nonetheless, it underscores the importance of adopting a holistic compensation approach that encompasses both extrinsic and intrinsic motivators. Organizations are advised to implement transparent and equitable compensation systems, offer performance-related incentives, and facilitate avenues for career growth. Moreover, cultivating a positive work environment characterized by open communication and recognition of employee contributions is emphasized as a key driver of job satisfaction and sustained motivation.

Abstract

Pajak karbon adalah instrumen ekonomi yang dikenakan pada emisi karbon dioksida (CO2) dengan tujuan mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca. Artikel ini membahas pengertian pajak karbon, asal mula terbentuknya pajak karbon, jenis-jenis pajak karbon, pengaruh iklim terhadap pajak karbon, serta contoh nyata penerapan pajak karbon di Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan kualitatif dengan menganalisis literatur yang relevan dan data sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pajak karbon dapat menjadi instrumen efektif dalam mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca dan mendukung upaya mitigasi perubahan iklim. Implementasi di Indonesia menunjukkan potensi besar, meskipun masih menghadapi beberapa tantangan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the direct and indirect relationships between competency, work experience, and information technology mastery on employee performance through work motivation as an intervening variable at the Regional Secretariat of Batam City. The population can provide useful information or data for a study. The population in this study consisted of 144 civil servants working at the Regional Secretariat of the Batam City Government. In this study, the sampling technique used is nonprobability sampling, specifically saturated sampling (census). The sample used in this study is the entire population of 144 civil servants at the Regional Secretariat of the Batam City Government. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple regression analysis, and path analysis.The results of the study indicate that there is a direct and indirect influence between the variables of competence, work experience, and information technology mastery on employee performance through work motivation as an intervening variable at the Regional Secretariat of the Batam City Government.
