Abstract

The aim of the research is to examine whether there is an influence of the use of teaching aids on the learning outcomes of students in the field of science study class IV at SDN Limbung Puteri, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. This research aims to determine the influence of the use of teaching aids in the learning process in the field of science study class IV at SDN Limbung Puteri, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. This type of research is pre-experimental research in the form of Pretest Posttest Design, namely an experiment which in its implementation only involves one class as an experimental class without a comparison class (control class) which aims to determine the effect of using teaching aids on student learning outcomes in the learning process in the field of study. Class IV Science at SDN Limbung Puteri, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency, 2016/2017 academic year. The experimental units in this research were 28 Class IV students. The research was carried out over 6 meetings. The success of the learning process is viewed from aspects, namely: achieving completeness of students' classical science learning outcomes and student activities in science learning. Learning is said to be successful if the above aspects are fulfilled. The data collection technique used is data on students' science learning outcomes which are collected using learning outcomes tests, data on student activities in science learning are collected using student learning activity observation sheets. The results of descriptive statistical analysis of student learning outcomes regarding positive teaching aids, understanding of material and concepts from science using teaching aids as media show better learning outcomes than before using teaching aids. The results of inferential statistical analysis using the t-test formula, it is known that the calculated t value obtained is 8.32 with a frequency of dk = 28 –1 = 27, at a significance level of 5% obtained t table = 0.381. So, t count > t table or the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This proves that the use of teaching aids in science learning has an influence compared to before using teaching aids as learning media.

Abstract

Tujuan Pengabdian Untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada Ibu-ibu (kaum perempuan) mampu membuat berbagai produk pangan olahan berbahan dasar ikan, pengemasan produk dan pemasaran produk yang telah dibuat, Pemasaran Produk Olahan Ikan, membuat laporan keuangan sederhana sehingga mereka tidak hanya sekedar menjadi pedagang tetapi juga bisa menjadi pebisnis dengan menguasai konsep dasar dalam berbisnis yaitu konsep untung dan rugi melalui laporan keuangan. Metodologi Pengabdian  digunakan Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode service learning (SL). Alasan pemilihan metode ini karena pada kegiatan pelatihan yang dilaksanan akan melibatkan mahasiwa yang memprogram MK Manajemen Kewirausahaan Jurusan Hukum Keluarga Islam STAI Al Furqan Makassar. Harapannya tidak hanya masyarakat yang mendapat manfaat langsung dari kegiatan pengabdian ini tetapi dengan melibatkan mahasiswa dalam kegiatan maka mahasiswa akan mendapatkan pengalaman praktis di masyarakat serta dapat mengaplikasikan ilmu yang telah dipelajari untuk membantu masyarakat menjadi lebih berdaya guna. Hasil Pengabdian Menunjukkan  dalam mengimplikasikan dalam bentuk pengabdian pada masyarakat dengan tujuan adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman dalam usaha pemanfaatan hasil tangkapan laut menjadi nilai tambah pendapatan keluarga ibu-ibu nelayan dalam bentuk usaha abon ikan tuna dambel Cumi . Dengan kegiatan usaha abon ikan dan sambel Cumi ini pendapatan ibu-ibu nelayan ini dapat lebih meningkat. Dengan penuh harapan usaha ini terus dikembangkan dengan berbagai varian bukan hanya pemasaran dilingkungan sekitar akan tetapi pemasarannya sampai kedaerah lain dan terus berkesinambungan

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate a performance assessment tool based on authentic assessment on buffer solution material in chemistry learning in secondary schools. The study uses a research and development (R&D) approach with reference to the 4-D model which includes the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The developed product includes an assessment specification table, a performance assessment grid, analytical rubrics in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, student performance tasks, student activity sheets, and a learning implementation plan. The validity of the tool was determined through expert judgment and analyzed using the content validity coefficient, while the practicality and effectiveness were tested through a limited trial on 40 grade XI science students. The results showed that all components of the performance assessment tool met the criteria of validity (V = 0.89–1.00), practicality (average value of implementation T = 4.35), and effectiveness. The effectiveness of the tool is demonstrated by an increase in cognitive learning outcomes from 47.5% to 80%, the achievement of affective and psychomotor learning outcomes, which are predominantly in the good and very good categories, and a positive student response of 89.79%. These findings indicate that the developed performance assessment tool is capable of supporting comprehensive and authentic chemistry learning assessments and has the potential to improve the quality of student learning processes and outcomes.

Abstract

Writing skills play an important role in supporting academic and professional communication, especially in the technology-dominated digital era. This study uses a qualitative approach to analyse students' ability to structure paragraphs, discover their strengths and weaknesses, and explore the influence of digital technology in learning to write. The findings show that students face challenges in constructing topic sentences, developing ideas, and stringing together relevant supporting sentences. Digital media, such as social media and blended learning, help them understand different types of writing, but the quality of the paragraphs produced has not met academic standards. The use of digital technologies, including platforms such as Facebook, improved students' motivation and writing performance and helped distinguish between informal and formal writing. The blended technology-based learning approach is effective in gradually improving writing skills, although further strategies are needed to ensure the quality of writing meets academic standards in the digital era. This research makes a novel contribution by presenting an innovative approach that leverages specific digital platforms, such as Facebook, supplemented with metadata to analyse its impact on the development of academic writing skills. Keywords: paragraph writing skills; learning; technology Abstrak Keterampilan menulis memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung komunikasi akademik dan profesional, terutama di era digital yang didominasi teknologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menganalisis kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyusun paragraf, menemukan kelebihan dan kelemahan mereka, serta mengeksplorasi pengaruh teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran menulis. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan dalam menyusun kalimat topik, mengembangkan ide, dan merangkai kalimat pendukung yang relevan. Media digital, seperti media sosial dan pembelajaran campuran, membantu mereka memahami berbagai jenis tulisan, tetapi kualitas paragraf yang dihasilkan belum memenuhi standar akademik. Penggunaan teknologi digital, termasuk platform seperti Facebook, meningkatkan motivasi dan performa menulis mahasiswa serta membantu membedakan tulisan informal dan formal. Pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi campuran efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis secara bertahap, meskipun diperlukan strategi lebih lanjut untuk memastikan kualitas tulisan memenuhi standar akademik di era digital. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi baru dengan menghadirkan pendekatan inovatif yang memanfaatkan platform digital tertentu, seperti Facebook, yang dilengkapi dengan metadata untuk menganalisis dampaknya terhadap pengembangan keterampilan menulis akademik.
