Abstract

Autisme merupakan gangguan perkembangan otak yang menyebabkan kesulitan dalam berinteraksi sosial, komunikasi, dan perilaku. Tingkat stres pada orang tua yang memiliki anak autis dapat meningkat karena berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi dalam merawat dan mendidik anak mereka. Pelatihan manajemen stres diharapkan dapat membantu orang tua mengatasi perasaan stres dan mendapatkan dukungan dalam menghadapi kondisi anak mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan manajemen stres terhadap tingkat stres pengasuhan orang tua yang merawat anak autis di Poliklinik Kesehatan Jiwa Anak dan Remaja Rumah Sakit Jiwa Provinsi Jawa Barat. Metode penelitian menggunakan quasi experiment dengan two-group pretest-posttest design. Menggunakan uji t dependen diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 sedangkan uji t independen diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,036. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan manajemen stres memiliki dampak yang signifikan dalam mengurangi tingkat stres pengasuhan pada orang tua yang mengikuti intervensi. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok intervensi, menunjukkan bahwa kelompok yang menerima intervensi pelatihan manajemen stres memiliki tingkat stres pengasuhan yang lebih rendah. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan manajemen stres dapat diintegrasikan dalam pelayanan kesehatan dan profesi keperawatan dapat berperan aktif dalam memberikan dukungan emosional kepada orang tua dengan anak autis.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the experiences of self-harm in young adulthood. The research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The findings reveal three main themes in the experience of self-harm among young adults: 1) causes of self-harm, 2) ideas about self-harm, and 3) the cycle of self-harm. The conclusion indicates that the causes of self-harm vary among individuals, including factors such as family, academic, psychosocial, intrapersonal, personality, unpleasant past experiences, and physical health history. The ideas about self-harm among participants are influenced by everyday media exposure, such as social media and preferred films. The self-harm cycle begins with an individual's negative response to stressors, the type of self-harm performed, the negative feelings experienced before self-harm, and the relief felt as an emotional release after self-harm, which leads individuals to feel addicted and engage in repeated self-harm. In summary, self-harm is a maladaptive coping mechanism that provides only temporary relief from emotional burdens. Social skills training and counseling are recommended to reduce the risk of recurring behavior for those who are not yet ready to stop. Keywords: Self-Harm, Students, Young Adult

Abstract

This study aims to compare the length of stay of mental disorder patients who receive non-specialist and specialist therapy at RSJMM. The method used is quantitative with a comparative method. The results showed that the length of stay of specialist therapy patients was 16.03 ± 2.945 days, with a median of 17 days, the shortest length of stay was 3 days, and the most extended length of stay was 21 days. The length of stay of non-specialist patients was 16.98 ± 2.81 days, with a median of 17 days; the shortest length of stay was 6 days, and the most extended length of stay was 28 days. The Mann-Whitney test (p of 0.015 <0.05) showed a significant difference in the average length of stay between patients who received specialist and non-specialist nursing services. In conclusion, specialist nurses better understand patient needs and design appropriate interventions, resulting in a fast discharge of an average of 0.95 days.   Keywords: Mental Disorders, Mental Health Nursing, Length of Stay, Specialist Therapy.
