Abstract

Abstract

Persistent underachievement in Arabic language learning particularly within post-COVID-19 online learning environments remains a critical concern. This study explores the impact of Kinemaster-based audiovisual media on improving Arabic learning outcomes among seventh-grade students at Al-Irsyad Junior High School in Banyuwangi, East Java. Positioned within the growing discourse on technology-integrated pedagogy, the research evaluates how digital media tools influence student engagement and academic success. Employing a quantitative associative design with pretest-posttest methodology, data were gathered from 23 students through observations, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Statistical analysis via SPSS, including normality tests, paired sample T-tests, and N-Gain calculations, indicated a significant performance increase from a total posttest score of 1424 to 1882 with a significance value of 0.001. The N-Gain score of 52.28 categorized the improvement as moderately effective. These results affirm the pedagogical potential of Kinemaster-based audiovisual media in Arabic instruction, offering promising implications for fostering student-centered, multimedia-enhanced learning. Further investigations are recommended to assess scalability and the mediating role of individual learner characteristics.

Abstract

In Indonesia, conflicts often occur between ethnicities, religions, races and groups. The survey results show that the proportion of students who are classified as having low or even very low attitudes towards religious tolerance is 30.16%. Based on the results of impartial observations in 2022, there were 25 violations of religious rights or freedom of religion documented by the media, such as refusal to build churches, prohibitions on wearing the veil, and religious blasphemy. The purpose of this article is; first, define and analyze the factors that can influence the religious tolerance of madrasah students through school culture. The author will highlight several factors that can influence students' religious tolerance in madarsahs by integrating them into school culture, which are carried out separately. The factors in question are school atmosphere, student relationships, student-teacher relationships, educational climate and justice, and a sense of belonging. This research uses a quantitative approach with an associative type of research. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis techniques and inferential analysis. Data was obtained from 181 high school students. Data was obtained through the school culture scale and religious tolerance scale. Data were analyzed using regression analysis. Based on the analysis, it was found that the factor that has a significant influence in school culture on students' religious tolerance attitudes at madrasas is a sense of belonging.

The results of the research show that (1) of the five teachers have used variations in teaching styles well during ongoing learning. in the activity of the teacher providing a variety of clear sounds, in the variation of focusing the teacher's attention using variations of attracting students' attention verbally, in the variation in silence the teacher gives students time to think which makes the students feel bored, in the variation of gaze contact the teacher pays attention to the students, in the variation of member movements The teacher's body is adapted to the learning material and the teacher also puts on an enthusiastic face for the ongoing learning. In various position shifts, the teacher has moved at the base of the target and around the room. (2) the interaction pattern used by the teacher uses 3-way interaction, namely student-student-teacher but there is no interaction between students. (3) of the five teachers, with variations in the use of media, the teachers only focused on learning materials and used teaching aids that were appropriate to the content of the material without any other teaching aids.
