Abstract

This research aims to describe the factors of initial reading difficulties experienced by class II students at SDIS Raudhatul Ulum 2 Puguk. The background to this research is the large number of students in the lower classes who experience difficulties in beginning reading. The type of recearch used in this research is descriptive with a qualitive opproach carried out at SDIS Raudhatul Ulum 2 Puguk. The aim of this research is to find out how early reading defficulties occur in class II students and what factors influince students starting reading difficulties at SDIS Raudhatul Ulum 2 Pugu. Data collection techniques include interviews. Data analysis techniques are carried out by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of research on factor Analysisof beginning reading difficulties in class II SDIS Raudhatul Ulum 2 Puguk can be said to be poor, including deletion of laters, reversal of words, repetition, lack of attention to punctuatoin, hesitation and stuttering.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the study of the implementation of the syllable learning method in class 1 of SDN 01 Anjongan carried out by class 1 teachers of SDN 01 Anjongan. A teacher needs the right method for the material to be conveyed. The learning method that must be chosen is to make it easier for students to begin reading. For example, when the syllable method was impllemented at SDN 01 Anjongan, the syllable metod was more effective than other learning methods. Therefore, the researcher focused his research which aims to fine out how the study of the implementation of the syllable learning method in class 1 SDN 01 Anjongan in the learning of beginning reading. This research uses a qualitative method, namely by describing the syllabic method implemented by the 1st grade teacher at SDN 01 Anjongan.the data collection techniques in form of interviews and observation form the two data colections are used as a whole according to needs. Matter this is so thst they can complement each other in corrcting the validity of the data collected. From the results of the research, it was found that the study of the implementation of the syllable larning method in reading learning at the beginning of grade 1 was very effective and had influence on the succes of the teaching and learning plrocess. In the school that was the object of research, the research admitted that this method had ofthen been used inlearning to read at the beginning because it was cosidered appropriate when used with lower grade students.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) describe variations in teaching styles at SD Negeri 17 Sungai Pinyuh (2) describe variations in interactions and activities at SD Negeri 17 Sungai Pinyuh (3) Describe variations in media use at SD Negeri 17 Sungai Pinyuh. To answer the questions above, this research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type to obtain in-depth data. Researchers use observation techniques. As for data analysis, researchers used data reduction analysis, data collection, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of the research show that (1) of the five teachers have used variations in teaching styles well during ongoing learning. in the activity of the teacher providing a variety of clear sounds, in the variation of focusing the teacher's attention using variations of attracting students' attention verbally, in the variation in silence the teacher gives students time to think which makes the students feel bored, in the variation of gaze contact the teacher pays attention to the students, in the variation of member movements The teacher's body is adapted to the learning material and the teacher also puts on an enthusiastic face for the ongoing learning. In various position shifts, the teacher has moved at the base of the target and around the room. (2) the interaction pattern used by the teacher uses 3-way interaction, namely student-student-teacher but there is no interaction between students. (3) of the five teachers, with variations in the use of media, the teachers only focused on learning materials and used teaching aids that were appropriate to the content of the material without any other teaching aids.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media kartu huruf bergambar (Kahumbar) untuk pembelajaran membaca permulaan siswa kelas I SD menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap: analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Media ini divalidasi oleh ahli materi, media, dan bahasa, dengan hasil menunjukkan bahwa Kahumbar sangat layak digunakan. Ahli media memberikan skor rata-rata 93,3% (Sangat Baik), ahli materi 77,1% (Baik), dan ahli bahasa 80% (Baik). Uji kepraktisan pada siswa menghasilkan skor 98% (Sangat Praktis) dalam uji perorangan, 90,31% (Sangat Praktis) dalam kelompok kecil, serta keefektifan sebesar 90,62% (Sangat Efektif).

Abstract

Early reading skills are essential competencies that must be mastered by students from the beginning of elementary school as a foundation for academic success. However, observations at SD Negeri 38 Sungai Ambawang revealed that many first-grade students still face difficulties in reading. This study aims to analyze the early reading abilities of first-grade students based on the EGRA (Early Grade Reading Assessment) test. This research applied a descriptive qualitative approach using the EGRA test, which consists of five components: letter recognition, word reading, reading meaningless words, oral reading fluency and comprehension, and listening comprehension. The subjects were 11 first-grade students. The results showed that only 2 students were able to recognize all letters, while 3 could not recognize any letters. In word reading, 1 student read fluently, 7 read partially, and 3 could not read. In meaningless word reading, only 2 students performed well. For fluency and comprehension, 3 students answered all questions, 5 answered partially, and 3 did not answer. In listening, 2 answered all, 6 partially, and 3 did not respond. In conclusion, students’ early reading skills remain low, influenced by limited literacy stimulation, monotonous teaching, and lack of media. More varied strategies and stronger teacher–parent collaboration are needed to improve early literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the steps of the show and tell method in learning students' speaking skills in elementary school. This research focuses on the steps of the show and tell method which include (1) Showing concrete objects/images (show), (2) Students are guided to describe objects (tell), (3) Dividing students into groups, (4) In groups, students discuss the right sentences to describe the selected objects and have been shown in more detail, (5) In groups, students display the results of their work, namely showing and describing the objects they have chosen, and (6) The teacher guides other students to listen and respond. This research uses descriptive qualitative with the type of literature study research. The data collection technique used documentation with primary data sources in the form of 20 articles. The results of this research study found that there were 13 articles that explained the steps of the show and tell method and 7 other articles did not explain the steps of the show and tell method. Based on the analysis of the 20 articles, it shows that the show and tell method is very effective to improve the speaking skills of elementary school students. In addition, the application of the show and tell method has a good impact in fostering the courage to appear in front of the class, fostering public speaking skills from an early age, overcoming shyness, doubt, and feelings of fear experienced by students when expressing their opinions in front of classmates.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Monopoli Jelajah Nusantara (Monojesa) sebagai media pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) yang sesuai untuk peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar, alat ini dirancang agar dapat digunakan secara layak dalam proses pembelajaran. Pengembangan media menggunakan model ADDIE yang dimodifikasi, hanya mencakup tiga tahap, yaitu Analisis, Desain, dan Pengembangan, sesuai dengan model yang dikemukakan oleh Robert Maribe Branch pada tahun 2009. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket yang meliputi validasi dari ahli media, validasi dari ahli materi, serta uji coba secara individu. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga peserta didik dari kelas IV SD Negeri 41 Sungai Raya sebagai partisipan. Hasil validasi menunjukkan persentase 96% untuk media dan 72% untuk materi pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba secara individu, diperoleh persentase sebesar 94,6%. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media monojesa layak digunakan, dalam pembelajaran IPAS bagi peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar, dengan kualitas sangat baik dan persentase validasi sebesar 87,53%. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan aplikasi Quizizz oleh guru dalam proses pembelajaran siswa kelas V di SDN 05 Sungai Raya. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya fokus dan partisipasi siswa saat pembelajaran konvensional berlangsung, yang berubah secara signifikan saat guru menggunakan Quizizz sebagai media evaluasi berbasis teknologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara terhadap guru kelas V. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menggunakan Quizizz secara terencana dengan mengintegrasikannya dalam modul ajar, memilih media yang sesuai dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan siswa, serta mengantisipasi hambatan teknis. Guru menganggap Quizizz efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan dan antusiasme siswa dalam pembelajaran. Namun, terdapat beberapa hambatan seperti kesenjangan akses perangkat dan internet di kalangan siswa serta keterbatasan kegiatan lanjutan pasca-kuis. Kesimpulannya, pemanfaatan Quizizz dapat meningkatkan interaktivitas dan motivasi belajar siswa, tetapi diperlukan dukungan infrastruktur dan strategi lanjutan agar implementasinya lebih optimal.                                                       Kata Kunci: Quizizz, media pembelajaran, SDN 5 Sungai Raya

Abstract

Abstrak Asesmen diagnostik kognitif merupakan langkah awal yang penting dalam proses pembelajaran karena dapat membantu guru dalam memahami kemampuan awal dan kebutuhan belajar peserta didik secara individual. Fokus penelitian ini yakni bagaimana pelaksanaan asesmen diagnostik di SDN 5 Sungai Raya yang mengacu pada teori milik (Atmojo, dkk., 2023) dalam melakukan asesmen diagnostik kognitif terdapat tiga tahap, yakni 1) tahap persiapan, 2) tahap pelaksanaan, 3) tahap diagnosis dan tindak lanjut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan asesmen diagnostik kognitif di SDN 5 Sungai Raya sebagai bagian dari implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka, maka pertanyaan penelitian adalah bagaimana pelaksanaan asesmen diagnostik kognitif di SDN 5 Sungai Raya. Subjek penelitian adalah guru-guru yang melaksanakan asesmen diagnostik kognitif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa guru telah mempersiapkan asesmen dengan menyusun jadwal, membuat soal sesuai CP dan ATP, serta menggunakan bahasa yang mudah dipahami. Namun, asesmen masih dominan dilakukan secara langsung di kelas, dan hanya satu guru yang memanfaatkan media digital. Wawancara menunjukkan guru telah menerapkan asesmen formatif pada saat proses pembelajaran sedang berlangsung dengan menanyakan kepada peserta didik terkait dengan materi apa yang sedang diajarkan atau dibahas. Namun guru belum terbiasa menggunakan teknologi dalam pengolahan hasil asesmen. Dokumentasi mengungkap bahwa instrumen asesmen disusun sesuai mata pelajaran dan kemampuan siswa, menggunakan bentuk pilihan ganda dan uraian. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya pelatihan lanjutan agar asesmen dapat dilaksanakan lebih optimal dan inklusif. Kata  Kunci: asesmen diagnostik kognitif, kurikulum merdeka, pembelajaran sekolah dasar
