Abstract

The background of the problem in this article is the need to analyze the strategies for developing teacher professionalism in the context of school-based management at the elementary level in the digital era. The aim of this article is to analyze the strategies, benefits, challenges, and impacts of using technology on the development of teacher professionalism within the context of school-based management at the elementary level in the digital era. This article employs a qualitative research method, utilizing interviews with five teachers and analyzing recent literature. The research procedure involved structured interviews with teachers involved in professionalism development, as well as data collection and analysis using thematic coding. The findings and discussions indicate that strategies for developing teacher professionalism through technology utilization in the context of school-based management at the elementary level in the digital era have been identified. The challenges include limited access, inadequate training, and privacy concerns. However, the benefits include access to extensive educational resources, global collaboration, and increased student engagement. The use of technology also has a positive impact on improving the quality of teaching and the efficiency of school-based management. As a recommendation, support and collaboration among schools, government, and stakeholders are necessary to ensure effective and equitable utilization of technology in the context of elementary education.

Abstract

The problem in learning mathematics is the low ability to think creatively. Students are less able to produce innovative ideas to overcome new problems. This research aims to develop a valid and practical integrated ethnomathematics student worksheet. The type of research used in this research is development research. The research model used is the Plomp model, which divides the development stage into three phases: the initial investigation, development, and assessment. The subjects of this research were one mathematics material expert, 1 Indonesian language expert, and one art expert, as well as three teachers as a test of media practicality. The trial subjects for this research consisted of individual trials consisting of 3 students and small group trials consisting of 9 students. The methods used to collect data are observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The instruments used to collect data were questionnaires and tests. Data analysis techniques are carried out qualitatively and quantitatively, as well as inferential statistics. The results of this research are validation results of 3.63 with a very valid category. The students' practicality results were 93.05 in the very practical category. The students' practical results were 96.04 in the very practical category. The t-test results show an influence of the Ethnomathematics Integrated Student Worksheet on Extensive Measurement Material on students' creative thinking abilities. It was concluded that the Student Worksheet integrated Ethnomathematics in data area measurement material was very valid and very practical, so it was suitable for use in learning in the fourth grade of elementary school.

Abstract

Understanding of mathematical concepts is different than expected. Students need help learning mathematical concepts. Based on this, this research aims to develop an integrated learning tool for the ethnomathematics of traditional games. This type of research uses the Plomp development model with three stages. Subjects in this development research include instrument validators, expert validators (2 material experts, 1 language expert, and 1 cultural expert), teachers as expert practitioners, and third-grade students in three elementary schools. The methods used in collecting data were observation, interviews, questionnaires and tests. Data collection instruments are questionnaire sheets and test questions. Data analysis techniques were carried out qualitatively and quantitatively, as well as inferential statistics. The research results are validation results from experts in the very valid category. Second, the practical results of students are in the convenient category. Third, the results of teacher practicality are in the convenient category. The results of the N Gain score test show increased learning outcomes by developing an integrated worksheet on ethnomathematics on whole numbers counting operations to understand mathematical concepts in class III elementary school students. It was concluded that the integrated learning tools for ethnomathematics in the operational material for calculating whole numbers were valid and practical for increasing the understanding of mathematical concepts for class III elementary school students. This research implies that the traditional game ethnomathematics integrated learning tools developed can be used in learning.
