Abstract

This study aims to analyse the relationship between students' learning styles (visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic) with mathematical creative thinking skills, and to determine which learning style has the most dominant influence. The research method used is a mixed method, which combines qualitative and quantitative approaches to obtain a more comprehensive understanding. The results of the study indicate that there are variations in students' mathematical creative thinking skills that are influenced by their respective learning styles. Visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic learning styles have been shown to have a significant influence on students' mathematical creative thinking skills. In particular, auditory learning styles have the most dominant influence compared to visual and kinaesthetic learning styles. These findings indicate the importance of understanding students' learning styles to improve their mathematical creative thinking skills. Thus, the results of this study contribute to the development of adaptive learning strategies, in accordance with students' learning styles, in order to support the achievement of optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of intelligence on learning achievement in Mathematics, Science, and English based on students’ learning styles. Using a quantitative approach, the research ensures statistical significance and minimizes researcher subjectivity while analyzing a large sample. The findings reveal that intelligence significantly influences academic performance across subjects, with varying contributions depending on learning styles. Visual learners show the highest intelligence-based contribution to Mathematics achievement (9.10%), followed by Science (8.20%) and English (5.10%). Auditory learners demonstrate a high contribution to Mathematics (7.40%), English (4.30%), and Science (4.10%). In contrast, kinesthetic learners exhibit the lowest contribution, with 0.70% for Mathematics, 0.50% for Science, and 0.30% for English. These results indicate that learning styles moderate the relationship between intelligence and academic success, with visual learners benefiting the most, particularly in Mathematics and Science, which require abstract understanding. The lower intelligence contribution for kinesthetic learners suggests that interactive, practice-based teaching methods are necessary to enhance their learning outcomes. The study underscores the importance of aligning instructional strategies with students’ learning styles to optimize academic achievement. A visual-based approach proves more effective in subjects requiring conceptual understanding, while kinesthetic learners may need more hands-on, experiential learning methods to improve their performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs for developing Android-based instructional materials for Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at the elementary school level in Pemalang Regency. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using proportional cluster random sampling, involving principals, teachers, students, and parents as respondents. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, and then analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods. The results reveal that all respondent groups expressed positive responses toward the need for developing Android-based digital learning materials. Principals and teachers believed that digital media could overcome the limitations of conventional teaching methods, while students showed high enthusiasm for interactive and flexible learning media. Parents also strongly supported the use of digital media for independent learning at home. These findings affirm that developing Android-based IPAS learning materials is seen as a strategic solution to enhance the effectiveness, engagement, and quality of IPAS learning in elementary schools. The implications of this study highlight the importance of providing digital facilities, teacher training, and active collaboration between schools and parents to build a technology-based learning ecosystem that is adaptive to the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of character education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Luqman Al Hakim Slawi and Budi Mulia Muhammadiyah Elementary School Adiwerna. Character education is a crucial aspect in shaping students' personality and moral values from an early age. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects include school principals, teachers, students, and parents. The findings reveal that the implementation of character education in both institutions is carried out through three main pathways: intraclass activities, co-curricular, and extracurricular programs. The character values developed include religiosity, discipline, responsibility, honesty, care, and cooperation. At MI Luqman Al Hakim Slawi, an integrative approach is applied by internalizing character values within Integrated Islamic-based learning. Meanwhile, at Budi Mulia Muhammadiyah Elementary School Adiwerna, the approach focuses on strengthening school culture and flagship programs rooted in Muhammadiyah values. Supporting factors in implementation include the schools’ vision and mission, educators’ commitment, and parental involvement. Challenges encountered involve students' diverse backgrounds and limited time for implementing character programs. This study recommends the importance of continuous collaboration among schools, parents, and communities to strengthen holistic character education.
