Abstract

Self-development is an important aspect that is the goal of a student to express abilities, interests, and talents through activities and activities inside and outside an educational institution. The study aims to determine the relationship between differences in answers based on gender with factors influencing student self-development with a nonparametric statistical method approach. Followed by a nonparametric statistical method, namely the Chi-Square test, with α = 5%. The results showed that there was no difference between male and female students in the influence factors of lecturer teaching methods, friendship environments, organizations/committees, and courses on student self-development

Abstract

Indonesia is focusing on preparing for Indonesia’s Golden 2045 through the Golden Generation. The Golden Generation is expected to be the country's quality and superior human resource. The province of West Java, with the largest population in Indonesia, plays an important role in realizing Indonesia's Golden 2045 ambition. However, the high HIV/AIDS incidence in West Java is a major challenge that could potentially hinder Indonesia’s achievement of the 2045 Gold Plan. The Ministry of Health has launched the Three Zero HIV/AIDS concept to meet one of Indonesia's Golden 2045 pillars. Based on this, the study aims to identify factors that influence the number of HIV/AIDS cases in West Java. The HIV/AIDS case is a data count, so the approach used in this study is Poisson Regression. The results of the study showed that the number of cases of violence (X1), the percentage of use of condom contraceptives among members of the Family Planning (KB) program (X2), population density (X3), the proportion of poor population (X4), and number of health facilities per 100,000 inhabitants (X5) were related to cases of HIV/AIDS in the West Java Province. It is seen from the p-value of each variable X is 0.0 except the population density is worth 0.003. Having identified significant factors influencing cases of HIV/AIDS in West Java, the government is expected to enhance cooperation with relevant agencies in reducing the risk of the number of cases in Western Java. Thus, Three Zero in West Java can be achieved by 2030.

Abstract

Mental health is a condition where individuals have good emotional, psychological, and social well-being, influencing how they think, feel, and act. This study analyzes the mental health of students aged between 18 and 24 years using a nonparametric statistical approach. Data were collected from a survey of 65 students regarding gender, field of study, and year of study, with a focus on mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. Descriptive analysis methods and the Chi-Square test with α = 5% showed no significant relationship between gender and mental health disorders. However, a significant relationship was found between field of study and anxiety, while no significant relationship was found between field of study and depression or panic attacks. Additionally, there was no significant relationship between the year of study and any of the mental health disorders examined. These findings provide insights for higher education institutions to design effective policies and interventions to support students' mental health

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The level of people's welfare in West Java Province still requires improvement in each indicator. People's welfare indicators include poverty, employment, education, housing, consumption patterns, health, and population. The level of people's welfare can be known by reviewing all dimensions based on linear relationships between regencies/cities to produce information on indicators that still need improvement. These efforts can assist the West Java Provincial Government determine regional policies and programs for equitable distribution and improve people's welfare in all regencies/cities. The data used in this study are secondary data derived from the Website of the BPS of West Java Province 2023, West Java Open Data Province 2023, and Diskominfo Statistics Division (Jabar Digital Service). The grouping of regencies/cities was done using Principal Component Analysis based on Singular Value Decomposition biplot analysis, and it continued with Ward's Method Clustering based on Euclidean distance calculation. The analysis results formed four groups with different people's welfare indicators characteristics. The group that needs top priority in improvement is group 2 because it has a low level of people's welfare. Cluster 1 contains regencies/cities with high people's welfare characteristics in the housing and employment indicators. Cluster 3 includes regencies/municipalities with high people's welfare characteristics in the consumption pattern level, poverty, employment, and health indicators. Cluster 4 contains cities with high people's welfare characteristics in education and population indicators.

Abstract

An analysis of the performance of Indonesia's capital market, or Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), shows significant growth in recent years, with market capitalization increasing dramatically from IDR 679.95 trillion in 2004 to IDR 11,674.06 trillion by 2023. The IDX plays an important role in the Indonesian economy by facilitating capital formation and providing opportunities for investors to diversify their portfolios. However, the capital market is vulnerable to political events, such as presidential elections, which can affect national stability and economic performance. An analysis of the stock index performance before the presidential election showed a significant bullish trend. Still, given the considerable impact of political events, such as presidential elections, on financial markets, this study aims to analyze and forecast the performance of the IDX Composite by examining historical data from past election years, we provide insights and predictions in highlighting how the LSTM model accommodates these political factors in its forecasts. IDX Composite closing price forecasting was conducted using the bidirectional LSTM model to anticipate the impact. The analysis results show that this model can predict the weekly closing price of the IDX Composite with an error of 1.04%, with estimated stock price fluctuations in the next 8 weeks in the range of 6619.755 to 6812.722
