Abstract

Dance arts are related to movement and musical rhythm, with a strong connection to hearing. This research is motivated by the researcher’s interest in the abilities of deaf students who can synchronize their movements with musical rhythms to achieve excellence. The purpose of this study is to describe the teaching methods, the four movements of Tari Payung, and the interest of deaf students in dance arts at SLB Negeri Tamansari in Tasikmalaya City. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques use triangulation to combine various data sources and techniques. Qualitative research aims to understand phenomena related to behavior, motivation, perception, and actions of subjects holistically. The research findings indicate that deaf students have a good interest in learning dance arts. Students demonstrate interest, enjoyment, attention, active participation, and good awareness. This is evident from their consistent attendance, enthusiasm during practice, and the achievements they have attained in dance arts education.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the planning for increasing interest in learning, implementation of increasing interest in learning, and increasing student’s interest in learning in Arts, Culture and Crafts learning after using audiovisual media in class VI SDN I Cibeber, Cikalong District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The type of research used in Classroom Action Research using audiovisual media. Learning is carried out through two cycles. The object of research is the application of audiovisual dance media created by Manuk Dadali with the research subjects, namely 15 class VI students at SDN 1 Cibeber Cikalong District Tasikmalaya Regency. Data was collected using observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The result of the research after the use of audiovisual showed an increase in student’s interest in learning the dance art Manuk Dadali.

Abstract

Pendidikan Seni Budaya di sekolah diadakan karena memiliki keunikan, makna, dan manfaat yang signifikan dalam perkembangan peserta didik. Keunikan pendidikan Seni Budaya terletak pada pengalaman estetik yang melibatkan aktivitas ekspresi dan kreativitas dengan pendekatan “belajar dengan seni,” “belajar melalui seni,” dan “belajar tentang seni,” dimana pendekatan ini tidak dapat ditemukan dalam mata pelajaran lainnya (Pitriani, 2020). Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan yang telah dilakukan peneliti di SDN 1 Rancapaku kelas V yang berjumlah 30 siswa, menunjukkan bahwasannya pembelajaran SBdP belum memuaskan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan sebanyak 20 siswa (66,67%) mengalami kesulitan dalam menggambar saat proses pembelajaran mata pelajaran SBdP dan belum memenuhi kriteria penilaian kreativitas yang meliputi kelancaran, keluwesan, keaslian, dan keuletan. Selain itu, siswa belum dikenalkan mengenai teknik-teknik dalam menggambar yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa dengan cara menggambar motif payung geulis Tasikmalaya menggunakan teknik sketsa. Dengan melalui penelitian ini, peneliti berharap siswa dapat meningkatkan kreativitas menggambar siswa kelas V di SDN 1 Rancapaku dalam menghasilkan sebuah karya seni rupa dua dimensi dan juga mengenal akan ciri khas dari tasikmalaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan metode Kemmis dan Mc. Tagart. Model penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan dari model Kurt lewn yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan penilaian hasil karya siswa. Model siklus PTK menurut Kemmis dan Mc. Hasil dari penelitian ini penulis menemukan bahwa penggunaan teknik sketsa motif payung geulis dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dengan nilai rata-rata kreativitas siswa meningkat dari 71,93 menjadi 85,67 dengan peningkatan signifikan pada setiap aspek yang diukur. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kreativitas menggambar siswa di kelas V SDN 1 Rancapaku sudah meningkat dan mencapai KKM yang telah ditentukan. Arts and Culture education in schools is held because it has uniqueness, meaning and significant benefits in the development of students. The uniqueness of Arts and Culture education lies in the aesthetic experience which involves expression and creativity activities with the approach of "learning with art," "learning through art," and "learning about art," where this approach cannot be found in other subjects (Pitriani, 2020) . Based on the results of observations made by researchers at SDN 1 Rancapaku class V, totaling 30 students, it shows that SBdP learning is not satisfactory. This is proven by as many as 20 students (66.67%) experiencing difficulties in drawing during the SBdP learning process and not meeting the creativity assessment criteria which include fluency, flexibility, originality and tenacity. Apart from that, students have not been introduced to drawing techniques that can be used to increase student creativity. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase students' creativity by drawing Tasikmalaya geulis umbrella motifs using sketching techniques. Through this research, researchers hope that students can increase the drawing creativity of class V students at SDN 1 Rancapaku in producing two-dimensional works of art and also become familiar with the characteristics of Tasikmalaya. The method used in this research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method using the Kemmis and Mc methods. Tagart. This research model is a development of the Kurt Lewn model which consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data was collected through observation, interviews and assessment of student work. PTK cycle model according to Kemmis and Mc. The results of this research, the author found that the use of the geulis umbrella motif sketch technique can increase students' creativity in aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. The average student creativity score increased from 71.93 to 85.67 with significant improvements in every aspect measured. This shows that the drawing creativity of students in class V of SDN 1 Rancapaku has increased and reached the specified KKM.

Abstract

Aksara sunda telah digunakan sejak zaman kerajaan-kerajaan Sunda kuno dan masih digunakan hingga saat ini dalam berbagai konteks budaya dan Pendidikan. Penelitian ini mengimplementasikan algoritma Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) dengan arsitektur MobileNet V1 untuk pengenalan aksara Sunda dalam aplikasi berbasis Android. Aksara Sunda, sebagai bagian dari warisan budaya Indonesia, memerlukan perhatian khusus dalam proses pembelajaran dan pelestariannya. Dalam penelitian ini, kami mengembangkan model CNN yang dilatih menggunakan dataset gambar aksara Sunda, yang mencakup berbagai variasi dan gaya tulisan. Model MobileNet V1 dipilih karena efisiensinya dalam pemrosesan di perangkat mobile, memungkinkan inferensi cepat dengan penggunaan sumber daya yang minimal. Proses pelatihan dilakukan menggunakan teknik transfer learning, yang mempercepat konvergensi dan meningkatkan akurasi model. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa model mencapai kinerja akurasi sebesar 90,37% dalam pengenalan aksara Sunda. Aplikasi ini dirancang untuk memberikan pengalaman interaktif bagi pengguna, terutama anak-anak, dalam belajar mengenali aksara Sunda dengan cara yang menyenangkan. Melalui implementasi ini dapat, diiharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pelestarian budaya dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya aksara Sunda. Temuan ini juga menunjukkan potensi penerapan CNN dalam bidang pendidikan, khususnya dalam konteks pembelajaran bahasa dan budaya lokal. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam aplikasi pendidikan berbasis teknologi.

Abstract

Abstrak Pembelajaran seni di sekolah dasar berperan penting dalam mengembangkan kreativitas dan apresiasi estetika peserta didik. Hasil observasi di kelas II SDN Karangtengah yang berjumlah 22 siswa menunjukkan bahwa kreativitas siswa dalam pembelajaran seni rupa terapan masih tergolong rendah. Sebanyak 13 siswa (59,09%) belum memenuhi indikator kreativitas, yaitu kelancaran ide, keluwesan, keaslian, dan keuletan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tindakan kelas model Kemmis dan McTaggart dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa melalui penerapan teknik cap pelepah pisang. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang masing-masing terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan penilaian kinerja, dengan analisis data secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata kreativitas siswa dari 72,71 pada tahap pratindakan, menjadi 76,98 pada siklus I, dan meningkat signifikan menjadi 86,07 pada siklus II. Peningkatan terjadi pada seluruh indikator kreativitas yang diukur. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa teknik cap pelepah pisang merupakan metode yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas siswa dalam pembelajaran seni rupa terapan di sekolah dasar. Abstract

This paper presents a study on the classification of traditional Tasikmalaya batik motifs using convolutional neural networks (CNN). The experiments revealed that the high complexity of batik motifs significantly impacted model performance, as the handling of each class influenced the overall results. Initial experiments with the original dataset demonstrated suboptimal performance, characterized by accuracy and validation curves indicating overfitting, with only 75% accuracy achieved at a learning rate of 0.001, a batch size of 32, and 50 epochs. To enhance performance, we implemented data segmentation, data augmentation, optimized the choice of the best optimizer, utilized an optimal architecture, and conducted hyperparameter tuning. The best-performing model was trained on data subjected to specific preprocessing for each class, using the Adam optimizer with hyperparameter tuning set to a learning rate of 0.001, a batch size of 32, and 50 epochs. In the hyperparameter tuning experiment with the visual geometry group network (VGGNet) architecture, it was shown that there is an improvement in the prediction of the kumeli class, achieving an accuracy of 100%.
