Abstract

This study is motivated by the fact that there are still many lower grade students who have not been able to read fluently. Big book learning media can be used by teachers to teach beginning reading to lower grade students. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of big book learning media to improve beginning reading skills. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects were second-grade primary school students who were still unable to read. The research was conducted in one of the primary schools in Tasikmalaya City. The results revealed that students were more enthusiastic in learning to read using big book learning media, which could be seen from an increase in students' reading skills in each meeting. By using big book learning media, in addition to learning to read through a series of letters, students were able to learn to read through images followed by the writing. Therefore, big book learning media can be used to improve students' reading skills.

Abstract

Modern learning requires the teachers to become facilitators whose involvements are limited. Teachers can use DLM as an alternative support in learning. This study focuses more on describing the effect of the use of DLM (Digital Learning Material) especially in Social Studies subject for fifth-graders. DLM, or Bahan Ajar Digital in Bahasa, offers several advantages to support the implementation of active and interactive learning. This research uses a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method, and the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. It was conducted at SDN Dadaha, Tasikmalaya, with class V C as the control class and class V B as the experimental class. The control class received learning without DLM (Digital Learning Material), while the experimental class received learning with DLM (Digital Learning Material). The analysis of research data shows the Mean Rank or the average rating of the control class was 15.48, lower than that of the experimental class, which is 33.42. The significance value of the result is smaller than the value of α (0,000 <0.05) thus the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. It is concluded that the effect of the use of DLM (Digital Learning Material) on the improvement of Social Studies learning outcomes of fifth-graders is evident.

Abstract

This research is motivated by one of the government programs namely Strengthening Character Education (PPK), especially in elementary schools to produce a golden generation in 2045. The characters studied include 5 main characters namely religious, nationalist, integrity, independent, and mutual cooperation. This research will be conducted at the SD Laboratorium UPI Tasikmalaya. In addition to instilling character education in daily activities, in this school, there is also a love for local wisdom. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. Based on the results of the study, inculcation of character education based on local wisdom in the SD Laboratorium UPI Tasikmalaya was implemented through habituation and through classroom learning. The habituation is done not only in the classroom or in the school environment, but habituation also involves students' parents at home. In the learning process, the inculcation of character education based on local wisdom is applied by the teacher through learning materials, learning media, and also the evaluation of learning used. Planting character education is not enough to only be instilled in schools but there must be cooperation with parents of students at home.

Abstract

Tumenggung Argawijaya foundation care to the education sector especially of basic education .Under a shade foundation tumenggung argawijaya standing as many as the three institutions such as Early childhood education, Islamic Diniyyah. An educational institution Al-Ma’arif  let encounters many obstacles such as the aspect of human resources that is the motivation , innovation and creativity is still low which is potential to the process of teaching in which you held the realization of education and .Repair the aspect of human resources in improved the motivation of done with information competence that should be owned by an educator.The event was held by about to transfer of competence that should be owned by an educator for one day. Then to increase innovation and creativity human resources activities are transferring technologies regarding the use of contextual problems for one day and assistance in the process of learning for one day. Abstract

The industrial revolution emphasizes the definition of the speed element of information availability, which is an industrial environment in which all entities are always connected and able to share information with one another. The industrial revolution 4.0 has a big influence on the course of learning in the classroom in the future. One of the implications of technological development is that Digital learning material (DLM) is used to deliver a variety of diverse material with a variety of content such as written text, audio, audio visual, animation, and interactive practice questions. This activity is a training for teachers related to the use of DLM in elementary school learning to deal with the industrial revolution 4.0 to improve teacher competency and optimize learning activities. The method used is discussion, simulation and practice. The activity was followed by elementary school teachers in the city of Tasikmalaya at SDN 1 Gunungpereng. The results of the activity got a very good response and provided knowledge and skills for teachers using DLM in learning. With this activity the teacher is able to understand and master the use of DLM in learning in elementary schools.Keywords: DLM, industrial revolution 4.0

Abstract

Dibawah naungan yayasan Tumenggung Argawijaya berdiri sebanyak tiga lembaga pendidikan yaitu PAUD Al-Ma’arif, TPA/TKA Al-Ma’arif dan DTA Al-Ma’arif. Jumlah pengajar tetap di yayasan ini adalah 25 orang dengan latar belakang pendidikan tertnggi S-2 satu orang, S-1 sebanyak 8 orang, D-II sebanyak 6 orang dan SLTA sebanyak sepuluh orang. Dikarenakan keterbatasan jumlah pengajar dan beragamnya latar belakang dan bidang pendidikan, ada beberapa pengajar yang mengajar merangkap di dua lembaga pendidikan, misalnya pagi mengajar di PAUD, sorenya mengajar di MDTA. Jumlah peserta didik dari tiga lembaga pendidikan adalah 224 siswa. Inovasi dan kreatifitas masih rendah yang berimplikasi pada proses penyelenggaraan pendidikan dan pengajaran yang berlangsung , seperti kemampuan merancang rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (lesson plan) dan penggunaan media audio visual.

Abstract

Membaca permulaan merupakan keterampilan membaca yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas rendah, yaitu kelas 1 dan kelas 2. Dalam proses pelaksanaannya, biasanya terdapat beberapa siswa yang memiliki kesulitan dalam membaca permulaan. Kesulitan membaca ini menjadi penghambat pada proses pembelajaran membaca selanjutnya. Penelitian tentang analisis kesulitan membaca permulaan ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas 1 SD di Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu soal tes membaca permulaan, lembar observasi, dan dokumen-dokumen pendukung lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kemampuan siswa membaca huruf vokal sebagian besar sudah pada kategori sangat mampu yaitu sebesar 43%. Kemampuan siswa dalam membaca huruf konsonan sebagian besar sudah pada kategori cukup mampu yaitu sebesar 35%. Kemampuan siswa dalam membaca suku kata sebagian besar sudah pada kategori cukup mampu yaitu sebesar 46%. Kemampuan siswa dalam membaca kata sebagian besar pada kategori mampu yaitu sebesar 32%. Kelancaran siswa dalam membaca sebagian besar pada kategori cukup lancar yaitu sebesar 43%. Kesulitan siswa yang paling banyak ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan dalam membaca suku kata, terutama suku kata yang terdiri dari 3 huruf atau lebih

Abstract

Humanistic education-based learning views that in learning not only develops students' abilities in cognitive domains, but also processes that occur in individuals that involve all existing domains. In humanistic based learning emphasizes the importance of emotions or feelings (emotional approach), open communication and the values possessed by each student. This research is motivated by a learning process that is found that many still pay little attention to the psychological condition of students and only emphasize cognitive aspects. This study uses a quantitative approach with a qualitative descriptive method, the object of research is the principal and teachers of SDN Kudanguyah in Tasikmalaya City Data collection in this study uses observation sheets, questionnaires, and interviews. Data from research on aspects of the application of humanistic education-based learning in the eyes of elementary school social studies generally obtain an average percentage of 83% which can be categorized as very high. It can be concluded that the application of humanistic education-based learning in social studies learning in elementary schools is going very well. Abstrak Pembelajaran berbasis pendidikan humanistik memandang bahwa dalam pembelajaran bukan hanya mengembangkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam ranah kognitif saja, tetapi juga proses yang terjadi dalam diri individu yang melibatkan seluruh domain yang ada. Dalam pembelajaran berbasis humanistik menekankan pentingnya emosi atau perasaan (emotional approach), komunikasi yang terbuka dan nilai-nilai yang dimiliki oleh setiap peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi proses pembelajaran yang banyak ditemukan masih kurang memperhatikan kondisi psikologis peserta didik serta hanya menekankan aspek kognitif saja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif, objek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah dan guru SDN Kudanguyah Kota Tasikmalaya Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan lembar observasi, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Data hasil penelitian pada aspek penerapan pembelajaran berbasis pendidikan humanistik dalam mata IPS sekolah dasar secara umum memperoleh rata-rata prosentase nilai 83% yang dapat dikategorikan sangat tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan penerapan pembelajaran berbasis pendidikan humanistik pada pembelajaran IPS di Sekolah Dasar berjalan dengan sangat baik. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes about elections through the application of the think pair and share cooperative learning model. This model is a form of cooperative learning that has preliminary stages, think (think), Pairs (discuss in pairs), Share (share answers or knowledge with other pairs). The research method used is a classroom action research method adapted from the Kemmis and Taggart model in the form of a cycle model where each cycle consists of four activity steps, namely 1) planning, 2) acting, 3) observing, and 4) reflection (reflecting). The research data were taken from the sixth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah with a total of 22 students consisting of 13 boys and 9 girls. The data obtained are the results of documentation studies, measurement of test results and observations. The learning result instrument is in the form of a question sheet. Student learning outcomes about elections through the use of think pair and share cooperative learning models have been shown to increase, this is evidenced by an increase in the average value of learning test results. the first cycle obtained an average of 71.36 and increased in the second cycle obtained 78.363. In addition, the research data also revealed that the teacher's performance also progressed in each cycle.

Abstract

Under a shade foundation tumenggung argawijaya stand about three educational institutions as paud al-ma’arif, TPA/TKAal-ma’arif and DTA al-ma’arif. Educational institutions al-ma’arif have problem of the human resources and motivation , innovation and creativity at the low who implicates the educational and teaching that goes. Improvement of human resources in improving innovation in the third year, creativity in preparation for the learning in the covid 19. Activities to increase innovation and creativity in the third year of human resources development activities done the lesson plan in the pandemic covid 19. The outer covering: creativity to be achieved, innovation educator in the learning process for students improve learning outcomes in the preparation of the creation of habitual learning in the pandemic covid 19. A method of execution used in the general pkm covers the transfer of the model of learning which can be used and assistance sustainable of the implementation gradually on the preparation of as well as the learned plan.
