This study is motivated by the fact that there are still many lower grade students who have not been able to read fluently. Big book learning media can be used by teachers to teach beginning reading to lower grade students. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of big book learning media to improve beginning reading skills. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects were second-grade primary school students who were still unable to read. The research was conducted in one of the primary schools in Tasikmalaya City. The results revealed that students were more enthusiastic in learning to read using big book learning media, which could be seen from an increase in students' reading skills in each meeting. By using big book learning media, in addition to learning to read through a series of letters, students were able to learn to read through images followed by the writing. Therefore, big book learning media can be used to improve students' reading skills.Â

Modern learning requires the teachers to become facilitators whose involvements are limited. Teachers can use DLM as an alternative support in learning. This study focuses more on describing the effect of the use of DLM (Digital Learning Material) especially in Social Studies subject for fifth-graders. DLM, or Bahan Ajar Digital in Bahasa, offers several advantages to support the implementation of active and interactive learning. This research uses a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method, and the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. It was conducted at SDN Dadaha, Tasikmalaya, with class V C as the control class and class V B as the experimental class. The control class received learning without DLM (Digital Learning Material), while the experimental class received learning with DLM (Digital Learning Material). The analysis of research data shows the Mean Rank or the average rating of the control class was 15.48, lower than that of the experimental class, which is 33.42. The significance value of the result is smaller than the value of α (0,000 <0.05) thus the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. It is concluded that the effect of the use of DLM (Digital Learning Material) on the improvement of Social Studies learning outcomes of fifth-graders is evident.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam penerapan model pembelajaran Course Review Horay (CRH) serta meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Course Review Horay (CRH) pada mata pelajaran matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang mengadaptasi model Kemmis dan Taggart. Subjek yang ditetapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik Kelas V SDN 1 Gununglipung Kecamatan Cipedes Kota Tasikmalaya sebanyak 35 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan lembar observasi aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pada tahap Pra Siklus ketuntasan belajar klasikal mencapai 20,7% dengan persentase aktivitas belajar sebesar 44%. Sementara pada Siklus I ketuntasan belajar klasikal mencapai 41,4% dengan persentase aktivitas belajar sebesar 61%. Dan pada Siklus II ketuntasan belajar klasikal mencapai 75% dengan persentase aktivitas belajar sebesar 77%. Hal tersebut menunjukan adanya peningkatan dari tahap Pra Siklus sampai ke Siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Course Review Horay (CRH) pada mata pelajaran matematika dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik.

This research is motivated by one of the government programs namely Strengthening Character Education (PPK), especially in elementary schools to produce a golden generation in 2045. The characters studied include 5 main characters namely religious, nationalist, integrity, independent, and mutual cooperation. This research will be conducted at the SD Laboratorium UPI Tasikmalaya. In addition to instilling character education in daily activities, in this school, there is also a love for local wisdom. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. Based on the results of the study, inculcation of character education based on local wisdom in the SD Laboratorium UPI Tasikmalaya was implemented through habituation and through classroom learning. The habituation is done not only in the classroom or in the school environment, but habituation also involves students' parents at home. In the learning process, the inculcation of character education based on local wisdom is applied by the teacher through learning materials, learning media, and also the evaluation of learning used. Planting character education is not enough to only be instilled in schools but there must be cooperation with parents of students at home.

The industrial revolution emphasizes the definition of the speed element of information availability, which is an industrial environment in which all entities are always connected and able to share information with one another. The industrial revolution 4.0 has a big influence on the course of learning in the classroom in the future. One of the implications of technological development is that Digital learning material (DLM) is used to deliver a variety of diverse material with a variety of content such as written text, audio, audio visual, animation, and interactive practice questions. This activity is a training for teachers related to the use of DLM in elementary school learning to deal with the industrial revolution 4.0 to improve teacher competency and optimize learning activities. The method used is discussion, simulation and practice. The activity was followed by elementary school teachers in the city of Tasikmalaya at SDN 1 Gunungpereng. The results of the activity got a very good response and provided knowledge and skills for teachers using DLM in learning. With this activity the teacher is able to understand and master the use of DLM in learning in elementary schools.Keywords: DLM, industrial revolution 4.0

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh semakin banyaknya Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu (SDIT) di kalangan masyarakat. SDIT memiliki kurikulum yang berbeda dengan SD pada umumnya. Setiap SDIT biasanya memiliki keunggulan tersendiri dalam pembelajarannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran secara umum tentang kurikulum yang digunakan di SDIT Qosrul Muhajirin Kabupaten Tasikmalaya beserta pembelajarannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Untuk memperoleh data digunakan lembar observasi, lembar wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, SDIT Qasrul Muhajirin memiliki kekhasan dalam bidang tahfidz quran. Siswa yang sekolah di SDIT ini wajib hafal 2 juz selama 6 tahun pembelajaran, yaitu juz 30 dan juz 29. Di sekolah ini, pendidikan agama ditanamkan sejak dini salah satunya dengan pembiasaan shalat duha setiap hari sebelum pembelajaran. Selain itu, mulai kelas 4 SD para siswa diwajibkan mondok di sekolah setiap malam sabtu untuk melakukan tahsin quran dan pembiasaan shalat tahajud. Sekolah ini banyak dipilih oleh orang tua karena pendidikan agama yang diberikan kepada para siswa ditanamkan secara langsung melalui proses pembiasaan.

Pembelajaran pada era abad 21 menuntut pelaksanaan pendidikan menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan teknologi dan informasi, pendidik dituntut dapat mengaplikasikan pemanfaatan teknologi digital yang dapat membantu dalam meningkatkan keefektifan pembelajaran. DLM (Digital Learning Material) atau bahan ajar digital dapat menjadi alternatif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa. Dalam artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan DLM terhadap aktivitas belajar IPS siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Pengambilan data dilakukan di SDN Dadaha Kota dengan menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi dengan subjek penelitian kelas V B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas V C sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis dengan uji Independent Sample T-test pada tabel 7 diperoleh nilai Sig.(2-tailed) tersebut lebih kecil dari nilai α (0,039 < 0,05)maka hipotesis nihil (Ho) yang diajukan ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Dapat disimpulkan “terdapat pengaruh penggunaan DLM (Digital Learning Material) terhadap aktivitas belajar IPS Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar”. DLM dapat menjadi alternatif meningkatkan aktivitas dan kemampuan atau kompetensi yang lain pada diri siswa.

Dibawah naungan yayasan Tumenggung Argawijaya berdiri sebanyak tiga lembaga pendidikan yaitu PAUD Al-Ma’arif, TPA/TKA Al-Ma’arif dan DTA Al-Ma’arif. Jumlah pengajar tetap di yayasan ini adalah 25 orang dengan latar belakang pendidikan tertnggi S-2 satu orang, S-1 sebanyak 8 orang, D-II sebanyak 6 orang dan SLTA sebanyak sepuluh orang. Dikarenakan keterbatasan jumlah pengajar dan beragamnya latar belakang dan bidang pendidikan, ada beberapa pengajar yang mengajar merangkap di dua lembaga pendidikan, misalnya pagi mengajar di PAUD, sorenya mengajar di MDTA. Jumlah peserta didik dari tiga lembaga pendidikan adalah 224 siswa. Inovasi dan kreatifitas masih rendah yang berimplikasi pada proses penyelenggaraan pendidikan dan pengajaran yang berlangsung , seperti kemampuan merancang rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (lesson plan) dan penggunaan media audio visual.

Membaca permulaan merupakan keterampilan membaca yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas rendah, yaitu kelas 1 dan kelas 2. Dalam proses pelaksanaannya, biasanya terdapat beberapa siswa yang memiliki kesulitan dalam membaca permulaan. Kesulitan membaca ini menjadi penghambat pada proses pembelajaran membaca selanjutnya. Penelitian tentang analisis kesulitan membaca permulaan ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas 1 SD di Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu soal tes membaca permulaan, lembar observasi, dan dokumen-dokumen pendukung lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kemampuan siswa membaca huruf vokal sebagian besar sudah pada kategori sangat mampu yaitu sebesar 43%. Kemampuan siswa dalam membaca huruf konsonan sebagian besar sudah pada kategori cukup mampu yaitu sebesar 35%. Kemampuan siswa dalam membaca suku kata sebagian besar sudah pada kategori cukup mampu yaitu sebesar 46%. Kemampuan siswa dalam membaca kata sebagian besar pada kategori mampu yaitu sebesar 32%. Kelancaran siswa dalam membaca sebagian besar pada kategori cukup lancar yaitu sebesar 43%. Kesulitan siswa yang paling banyak ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan dalam membaca suku kata, terutama suku kata yang terdiri dari 3 huruf atau lebih
