Abstract

In the 21st century the educational curriculum has developed to a higher level with the aim of building students' intelligence abilities in learning, especially in science learning, one way to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes is to use Problem Based Learning (PBL) models. PBL is a learning model that requires students to be able to solve problems that occur in the real world as a context for developing critical thinking skills and problem solving. The PBL learning model has been widely used by previous researchers, but not many studies have thoroughly examined the PBL model in junior high school science learning. The method used in this research is descriptive using a quantitative approach followed by meta-analysis techniques. The population in this study were S1-S3 indexed scientific publication articles and articles with ISSN, the sample used in this study were 31 articles. There are three results from this study, firstly the application of the PBL model in science learning has a very high influence on class VII with an effect size of 1,32, secondly the application of the PBL model has a very high influence on the material growth and development of living things with an effect size value of 4,27, the third application of the PBL model to students' cognitive learning outcomes has a very high effect with an effect size value of 1,19.

Abstract

Cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) is one of the learning models that involve all student activities, peer tutors between students, containing games that can create fun learning. By applying the TGT model, students will be more motivated to learn and will be able to improve student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) on the material substance and changes to the learning outcomes of students in grade VII junior high school. This study is included in the type of Quasi-experimental research using a research design that is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique used is Purposive Sampling. The sample consisted of one experimental class using cooperative model type TGT and one control class using lecture and discussion method. The instrument used is a written test with multiple choice questions. This study conducted statistical analysis with the help of Microsoft Excel. Based on the hypothesis test with the test U (Mann Whitney) diperolehkan zhitung value of 3.01 and ztabel of 1.96. Seen H1 accepted, so it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model type TGT has a significant influence on the learning outcomes of students in grade VII Junior High School on the material substance and its changes.

Abstract

Secara utama, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana gaya pengajaran Guided Inquiry mempengaruhi pemahaman siswa terhadap materi dan perubahannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam konteks rendahnya partisipasi siswa dan dominasi praktik pembelajaran konvensional yang berpusat pada guru, yang keduanya telah menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa yang buruk. Menggunakan pendekatan quasi-eksperimental dan desain kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen, penelitian ini menerapkan teknik kuantitatif. Peneliti memilih peserta dari dua kelompok siswa: VII.7 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan VII.1 sebagai kelompok kontrol, menggunakan teknik seleksi purposif. Peneliti menggunakan instrumen penelitian seperti tes pra dan pasca dengan jawaban pilihan ganda dan kuesioner tanggapan siswa untuk memantau seberapa efektif kelas diajarkan. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan uji t. Nilai t sebesar 4,74, yang lebih besar dari nilai t tabel sebesar 1,99, menunjukkan bahwa paradigma pembelajaran Guided Inquiry memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Sebagian besar tanggapan siswa (98%) dianggap sangat baik, sedangkan penerapan pembelajaran sintaks memperoleh 96%. Siswa di SMP Negeri 25 Padang memperoleh manfaat dari pendekatan Guided Inquiry dalam pendidikan.

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini, kami menganalisis bagaimana pendekatan Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) memengaruhi pemahaman siswa terhadap ekspansi, panas, dan suhu. Hasil belajar siswa yang buruk akibat dominasi pendekatan tradisional yang berpusat pada guru (ceramah) menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini. Selain itu, selama proses belajar, siswa seringkali tidak aktif. Sebagai alternatif yang mungkin membantu siswa berprestasi lebih baik dalam mata pelajaran ini, paradigma pembelajaran POE diusulkan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Para peneliti dalam penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan desain kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen dan metodologi quasi-eksperimental. Kelas VII.3 berfungsi sebagai kelompok eksperimen, sementara kelas VII.4 sebagai kelompok kontrol; pemilihan ini didasarkan pada strategi sampling purposif. Survei tanggapan siswa, soal pilihan ganda pretest dan posttest, serta lembar observasi implementasi pembelajaran sintaksis merupakan instrumen penelitian. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa dalam topik panas, ekspansi, dan suhu meningkat secara signifikan melalui paradigma pembelajaran POE. Nilai tcount sebesar 10,67, yang lebih tinggi dari nilai t-table 2,001, membuktikan hal ini. Secara rata-rata, siswa memberikan ulasan positif terhadap model ini, dan persentase siswa yang menguasai sintaks mencapai 93,06%. Akhirnya, hasil menunjukkan bahwa paradigma pembelajaran POE telah membantu siswa SMP Negeri 12 Padang meraih kesuksesan akademis.
