Abstract

Sources of waste in hospitals can come from medical activities, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, drug manufacturing or training, treatment, research, processing, teaching and research activities as well as from blood collection activities through transfusion. These activities can pose a great risk of disease transmission. Seeing so many activities that pose a risk to the surrounding environment, it is necessary to properly and safely manage waste. Waste management must be addressed immediately to ensure the health and safety of workers and other people in the hospital environment. For this reason, policies are needed according to occupational health and safety management by carrying out management and monitoring activities of hospital waste as one of the important indicators that need to be considered. This research to find out the description of the transportation of B3 Waste in Pariaman Hospital. The research design used in the descriptive survey research with a qualitative approach in the form of interviews and observations to obtain an overview of B3 waste management at the Pariaman Regional General Hospital in 2021. The object being studied is the infectious B3 waste management carried out by Pariaman Hospital. Infectious B3 Waste Management carried out at the Pariaman Regional General Hospital is in accordance with the requirements stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia Number P.56 of 2015 starting from B3 waste sorting, B3 waste storage, B3 waste transportation.

Abstract

Background: Science literacy is the capacity to use clinical information to pick out troubles and draw conclusions based totally on proof so that you can understand and make selections approximately nature and modifications made to nature via human activities. Based on PISA data and preliminary study data, the literacy of science competencies of Indonesian students is still low. One of the learnings that has a positive influence on science literacy is problem-based learning (PBL). Methods: This study applied the Quasi Experiment method with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research was conducted at SMPN 1 Gunung Talang, Solok Regency, West Sumatra in class VII in the 2023/2024 school year. Results: The average value of the experimental class is higher than the average of the control class on the posttest data. The hypothesis test results show that t'count 3.372 is greater than t'table 2.008, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Conclusion: The application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model affects the science literacy skills of students in Indonesian Ecology and Biodiversity material.

Abstract

The research is to find out how guided inquiry affects student learning outcomes. The type of research used is quasi-experimental. Research design non equivalent control group design The population of this study consisted of class VIII students at SMPN 26 Padang TP 2023/2024. In the research sample, class VIII.8 was the experimental group and class VIII.4 was the control group. The guided inquiry education model has been implemented with a high level of success, with an average success rate of 95%. Students are enthusiastic about the guided inquiry learning model, 53% strongly agree and 47% agree in the SMPN 26 Padang questionnaire which shows how the guided inquiry learning influences student learning outcomes

Abstract

Ekosistem padang lamun adalah salah satu ekosistem pesisir yang memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung keanekaragaman hayati, menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem laut, dan menyediakan jasa ekosistem yang vital. Artikel ini mengulas keterkaitan antara pendekatan rantai makanan dan jaring makanan dengan pengelolaan berkelanjutan pada ekosistem padang lamun melalui metode literature review. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa interaksi spesies dalam rantai dan jaring makanan mendukung stabilitas ekosistem serta mengurangi risiko gangguan eksternal. Pendekatan pengelolaan berkelanjutan, termasuk perlindungan habitat, pengaturan kualitas air, dan restorasi ekosistem, terbukti efektif dalam memelihara kesehatan ekosistem dan meningkatkan jasa ekosistem, seperti perikanan dan pariwisata. Pemahaman komprehensif tentang dinamika rantai dan jaring makanan sangat penting untuk memastikan kelestarian ekosistem padang lamun di tengah tekanan lingkungan dan aktivitas manusia. Strategi pengelolaan yang mempertimbangkan kompleksitas jaring makanan dapat meningkatkan efektivitas konservasi dan keberlanjutan ekosistem pesisir.

Abstract

Background: the activity is carried out with the aim of introducing and training the Balingka village community regarding the design of android-based packaging labels that are suitable for the type of food, so that later they will be able to contribute to increasing the selling power of the product. Method: The packaging label design technique was explained orally by the team of the faculty of agricultural technology, Andalas University to the Balingka village community group while being practiced directly using their respective cellphones. Conclusion: the information conveyed can be implemented by community groups and they are very enthusiastic in the practice of packaging design through cellphones (android-based). Community groups have been able to produce attractive packaging label designs that comply with labeling regulations. Keywords: introduction, technique, packaging, label, design

Abstract

Animated videos have proven to be effective as learning media to reduce learning difficulties, especially in science subjects. The purpose of this study was to determine how the development of animated video media is applied in science learning in schools. The study was conducted using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method on articles published between 2021 and 2024. The results of the study of three Research Questions (RQ) showed that the limited use of animated videos in science learning has encouraged many researchers to develop this media. The most frequently used development model is ADDIE, because it is considered systematic and easy to apply. Meanwhile, Powtoon software is the main choice because it is practical and capable of producing attractive animations. This study is expected to be a reference for educators in designing animated video media that can help students understand science concepts more easily and enjoyably.

Abstract

Fokus utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan capaian belajar pada kelas VII.3 di SMPN 1 Sijunjung dalam mata pelajaran IPA dengan model kooperatif tipe TGT. Metode penelitian ini yaitu PTK yang mencakup 4 langkah, diantaranya perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Dalam penelitian ini, subjeknya sebanyak 32 siswa dari kelas VII.3 SMP Negeri 1 Sijunjung. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan bisa dilihat adanya peningkatan pada hasil belajar siswa. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat ketika sebelum dilakukan PTK rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 54,94, setelah dilakukan siklus 1 rata-rata nya naik menjadi 70,13, pada siklus 2 naik lagi mencapai 85,72. Persentase ketuntasan belajar juga menunjukkan tren yang meningkat, yakni dari 22% sebelum tindakan, menjadi 63% di siklus I, dan mencapai 81% di siklus II. Merujuk pada temuan tersebut, terbukti bahwa penerapan model ini berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII.3 di SMP Negeri 1 Sijunjung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik, yang dipengaruhi oleh pendekatan pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru. Peserta didik juga belum diberikan kesempatan untuk berpartisipasi secara aktif maupun dilatih dalam keterampilan pemecahan masalah selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menetahui pengaruh penerapan model Project Based Learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experimental dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis diterima karena perhitungan menunjukkan Thitung > Ttabel, dengan nilai 2,91 > 2,01 yang artinya H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dengan demikian penerapan model Project Based Learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik.

Abstract

This research aims to ascertain the influence of the Problem Based Learning model on students’ learning outcomes of the 7th grader about the matter and its changes topic. This quasi-experimental research is to determine if a specific treatment has an effect on the group being studied. For this investigation, an uneven control group design will be employed. One sample strategy utilized in sampling techniques is purposive sampling. The Problem Based Learning model was employed in the experiment group, while the lecture approach was used in the control group. Based on the T-test hypothesis testing, it was demonstrated that there was a significant difference in average between the experimental class and the control class with Tcount = -24.0946 and Ttable = 2.0017, the results of the second similarity test in average post-test indicated that H0 was rejected or Ha was accepted. As a result, the Problem Based Learning Model significantly affects the students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Studi ini mengkaji pengaruh penerapan model Learning Cycle 7E (LC7E) yang dikolaborasikan dengan SSI sebagai konteks dalam pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar. Desain penelitian yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi-eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen, dan sampel penelitian terdiri dari semua peserta didik kelas tujuh di SMPN 2 Pariaman. Sampel untuk penelitian ini dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling, yaitu kelas VII.4 dan VII.7. Kelompok eksperimen menggunakan model LC7E yang dikombinasikan dengan konteks SSI selama implementasi. Namun, kelompok kontrol mengikuti pendekatan pengajaran tradisional. Soal pilihan ganda digunakan sebagai alat pra- dan pasca-tes untuk mengumpulkan data dari kedua kelompok. Hasilnya menyoroti perbedaan yang signifikan dalam skor rata-rata peserta didik yang diberi perlakuan dengan model LC7E dengan konteks SSI dan mereka yang diberi perlakuan dengan model konvensional. Uji-t menghasilkan nilai t hitung sebesar 2,581373352, lebih besar daripada nilai t kritis sebesar 2,004879288, sehingga ditolak dan diterima. Implikasinya adalah model Learning Cycle 7E dengan konteks SSI memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap prestasi akademik siswa kelas 7 di SMPN 2 Pariaman.
