Abstract

The use of loose-part media is currently very easy to find in the surrounding environment. Through loose-part media, children are given the freedom to play with concrete or real objects. The benefits of this loose part media are very influential on the development of early childhood, one of which is the child's gross motor skills. This study aims to determine the stimulation of children's gross motor skills through loose part media in group B children in PAUD Al-Hafijh. This study uses a qualitative descriptive methodology with observation, interviews, and documentation techniques with 13 children in group B aged 5-6 years as sample data. Data processing uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that children's gross motor skills can be improved through loose part media such as agility, flexibility, balance, and eye, hand, and foot coordination skills. This can be seen when the teacher stimulates the child's gross motor skills, which is to create a pleasant atmosphere by using media that is attractive to children, thus the child's motor skills will be well stimulated. Children can move freely, be creative, and create new works with the loose part media provided by the teacher. Parents can work together with teachers to prepare loose part materials at home.

Abstract

In contemporary times, research on family resilience is crucial. This is because every family faces unique challenges and is required to adapt, cope with, and recover from various difficulties and obstacles. These challenges may include economic issues, health problems, technological advancements, social changes, and other various problems. Gradually, these issues can weaken the family's function in shaping character and facilitating child development. The objective of this case study is to examine how the communication process serves as a key factor in building family resilience among families with young children. This qualitative research employed a case study approach with three families with young children as subjects. Data was collected through interviews and observations, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results indicate the presence of components of the communication process as a key to family resilience in the three participating families. All three participating families have established guidelines for communication, avoiding ambiguity, maintaining positive interactions, and having guidelines for resolving existing problems.

Abstract

Privatization and neoliberalism have significantly impacted educational policies, exacerbating inequalities in access to education, particularly for children from low-socioeconomic backgrounds. This study investigated the effects of these policies on access, quality, and character development at TK Cendani, Bandung. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation and interviews and analyzed using Grounded Theory. The findings revealed a paradoxical interplay between inclusivity and exclusivity within the education system. Children from disadvantaged backgrounds were often denied equitable opportunities, leading to discriminatory practices that hindered their development. Teachers' needs frequently took precedence over students', resulting in an imbalanced teaching and learning environment. Moreover, the proliferation of elite schools accessible only to children from affluent families further exacerbated educational disparities. These results underscore the necessity for a more inclusive educational policy that harmonizes academic achievement with the development of children's character.

Abstract

Problem based learning model (PBL) has been implemented in the learning process in PAUD. The application of PBL in learning activities is carried out to develop children's abilities in identifying and finding solutions to problems that children are facing, such as in science play activities. One of the problems that occurs is related to the development of curiosity , especially those related to the ability to analyze and develop initiatives to describe problems faced by children when playing. This study was conducted to determine the extent to which the use of PBL learning models based on science activities can be used to develop the curiosity of children aged 4- 5 years in Kindergarten 'LSUPI' totaling 30 children. Data collection was carried out by using triangulation techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation studies , resulting in qualitative descriptive analysis techniques in the form of percentages and explanations . As a result, it is known that the application of the learning model PBL based on science activities is a tool for children to encourage and grow 8 indicators of curiosity when carrying out learning activities.

Abstract

The low interest in reading in children in group B at RA Aghniya can be seen from the daily lives of children who are not yet interested in reading books; they often use books as toys and throw them away. This is because children's interest in reading is not stimulated properly according to their needs. So the researcher used a reading literacy corner because this media can increase interest in reading in early childhood. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the reading literacy corner can increase interest in reading in early childhood at RA Aghniya. The research method is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is carried out in three cycles. The research procedure consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collection technique analyzes observation using quantitative description with a percentage formula. The subjects of the study were 10 children in a group study results study showed an increase in interest in reading through the reading corner. Interest in reading in cycle I reached 43%, cycle II reached 65%, and then increased better in cycle III, reaching 83%. It can be concluded that the reading corner can increase the interest in reading in children in group B at RA Aghniya.
